On a day when Newcastle United have announced exciting new plans for a stunning new state of the art training complex at Benton, Alan Pardew has announced the team for the West Brom game this afternoon, and as expected, there is just one change from the team that beat Norwich last week, and Mathieu Debuchy returns at right-back with Yanga-Mbiwa dropping to the bench
And Newcastle’s bench is very strong – Rob Elliot, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Vurnon Anita, Sammy Ameobi, Gabriel Obertan, Hatem Ben Arfa and Papiss Cisse – but still no room for the fit again local lads, Steven Taylor or Paul Dummett.
As expected, Shane Long starts up front for the opposition, and this will be a tough game for Newcastle, but a fourth win in a row could see us climb that table even further by tonight.
Phil Dowd is the referee today.
