It was an absolute stunning goal from Moussa Sissoko – his first of the season – that gave Newcastle their fourth league win on the tort and now the Magpies are up to 5th place in the Premier League.
Yoan Gouffran heads home Newcastle’s first goal
Yoan Gouffran had put Newcastle ahead late in the first half but West Brom came back well after half time and equalized through Chris Brunt, but three minutes later out of nothing Moussa Sissoko his home a glorious goal from outside the leanty box, and that turned out to be the winner for the Magpies.

Comment #1Lets not forget west Brom are a good team away and really beat Chelsea at stamford bridge if it weren’t for that ‘penalty’. Shame i missed most of the match.

Comment #2Swansea is winnable, but so difficult. Man U, unknown. 3-4 points out of those games would be great. less than 2 points, would be disappointing.

shola was immense tbh even when he had 2 on him he showed skill and left them for dead unbelievable really
makes me wonder if he had this kind of love and confidence earlier in his career wat could have been?

Comment #8Another great win, had to give it to Goofy. He pulls off a great header again and put in an excellent defensive shift also.

Comment #9A win against Swansea and I’ll start feeling like I did two seasons ago. Blimey, that’s scary…would never have thought that could happen at the start of the season.

Comment #11Great team win, no doubt. I had to give MOM to Willo. He was clutch all day long.

Comment #12If Shola really is having an Indian Summer in his career then we’ve just got to hope he can keep this up til the summer and he wins the Golden Boot too.

Comment #15I think Ed is asking who is runner-up to Ameobi being MOTM….because its obvious Ameobi deserves it.
Passing was first rate. Clever player

Comment #16Oops, I almost forgot. PARDEW IS THE WORST! HE NEEDS TO BE EATEN ALIVE BY MARSUPIALS OR PERHAPS SMALL RODENTS!
There. It needed to be said. 🙂

Comment #17LOL @ no Ameobi in the poll.
Williamson just edged Ameobi for MOTM for me.
I commented earlier today that I thought Ameobi would be uneffective against West Brom. I am happy to be wrong… the big man did us proud.

Comment #21Sissoko was back to his best; driving, charging, out muscling and scoring – he’s my MOTM.
Shola again excellent, nice partnership with Remy.
Debuchy really looks a class act.
Gouffran brilliant, never stops working and is our player of 2013 in my opinion.
Williamson 1st choice centre half now! How’s that happened? If he’s got a ball playing defender next to him (as opposed to the lump that is S.Taylor) he shines. Dovetails better with Mbiwa in my opinion, but can see why Pards chose Colo.
It was only 2-1, but it was a really impressive 2-1 compared to Norwich. If the ref had been sharper I think it would have been more emphatic, but he didn’t cost us a point – really happy, Swansea on Weds should be another good test.
