Newcastle Manager Alan Pardew Up For Award

Alan Pardew is proving once again that when he has the players available he can be a very effective manager, and the Newcastle manager guided the team to their fourth straight league win yesterday, against a good West Brom side, and the team is now up to 5th place before today’s games, with a good 23 points from 13 games. 😀

Alan Pardew – four good wins in November

Newcastle had a good November, and in their four games – all in the league –  we won the lot, scored seven goals and conceded two, and in the process beat Chelsea at home and Tottenham away.

And if that’s not good enough for Alan Pardew to be named the Barclay’s’ Premier League Manager of the Month, we’re not sure how he can better that record.

Alan hinted at the possibility of getting the award – kind of – when he talked about Newcastle having the team of the month – and that’s certainly true:

“We’ve got the team of the month, there’s no doubt about that.”  “Our players have been outstanding, and I don’t know if they give out a trophy for team of the month, but that’s what we should be.”

“We’ve got a strength-in-depth that we didn’t have even when we finished fifth two years ago, but the fact that we’re not playing in the Europa League and we’re getting that extra work on the training ground is definitely showing.”

“I sensed before the game that the group is very strong. Everybody is fit and available and you can look around our dressing room and see quality, and quality that wasn’t even involved today.”

It wasn’t easy yesterday, and in fact all the games have been close, but Newcastle now have players who have strong characters and a winning mentality.

And that was shown yesterday after Chris Brunt equalized for West Brom after 53 minutes, and Newcastle came straight back with a simply stunning strike from Moussa Sissoko, for the winner after 57 minutes – his first goal of the campaign.

It was simply a magnificent strike by the big French International, and it was set up by his fellow Frenchman Yoan Gouffran, who also scored Newcastle’s first goal.

A goal and an assist is not too bad for Yoan coming out of the game yesterday, and he’s simply been a revelation for Newcastle this season.

Pardew is making sure the players keep their feet firmly on the ground, but with a fully fit squad for the upcoming rush of games over the holidays, we could do well and come the turn of the year we could even be placed high up in that league table.

We don’t know if Alan will get the Manger of the Month award for December, but he deserves to get it for November.

anyone notice how coloshitty always DELIBERATELY drifts out wide into the full back positions so that his weaknesses as a centre half- arent so obvious?

very often when we concede he is MIA in central defence . This is no accident. For me it is the height of dishonest football. Hed rather abandon Willo in central defence than allow himself be embarrassed

As long as this virus remains a part of our starting line up, we will not achieve clean sheets. You can take that to the bank

v chelsea clean sheet. No Coloshitty
v Spurs clean sheet. No Coloshitty
v WestBrom goal conceded. Coloshitty at fault
v Norwich goal conceded Coloshitty at fault

Only a moron like Pardumb fails to see the perfect correlation between lack of clean sheets and presence of Coloshitty.

toonbotherer – you are a complete joke with your anti-Coloccini agenda give it a rest. And any idiot could see the goal came from an unmarked player that Debuchy abandoned to heroically ‘help’ Willo outjump the forward who noded it on. Colo had nothing to do with it. You are a pest.

Haven’t been on here for months and coming back I remembered why. Too many obnoxious pardew and player haters.

Where has rotonda gone who slagged off the inclusion of Williamson (who won the poll) and shola (great performance). And that view after 3 consecutive wins.

It’s dull and repetitive rhetoric. I’d rather focus on the great performances including tiote (who many wanted to sell) who is showing some great form and got a harsh yellow.

Well done lads. This current line-up is show great pace, balance, flair and hard graft. A perfect combo for a decent PL campaign.

😀 I wasnt going to respond but the ignorance displayed in the above sentence is breathtaking. Debuchy was doing what any intelligent defender would do when they spot a gaping hole in central defence.

Whenever a centre back drifts out wide it effectively means the full back on the other side has to slip into centre defence and wingers into the full back role. Otherwise opposing strikers are given a clear path to goal. This is basic football knowledge. If anyone other than coloshitty deserves blame its sissoko for not tracking brunt.

You cant be this stupid whoever you are

I regularly follow this blog, despite of the constant drivel spewed out by a few. I too have my issues with Chairman, Director of Football, Manager and indeed some spineless players.
However, now is one of the rare times that I can honestly say all looks relatively optimistic. And I can say that I am proud to be a Newcastle fan!
Big infrastructural investment from Ashley. Showing that he is around for the long haul.
Kinnear not putting his foot in his mouth and embarrassing us all.
Pardew has found a system that gets us playing exciting footbal at times, and one that the opposition are having trouble to both break down and defend against.
Shola has been a revelation the past month. How he bosses defences, and brings others, most notably Gouf, Sissoko and Remy into the game. It really No. 9 play at its best. So he is not scoring, but that out he gives us is so important. Cisse just does not have that in his locker.

So why not enjoy it, as its not going to last forever. Of course, the neggers are just waiting for the first trip to start baying for blood again… I for one eagerly await each game at the moment. Commitment, excitement and good football. What more could you want?
