Alan Pardew has made a bit of a shock selection and named an unchanged side for Swansea tonight, and the logic is probably that Alan believes we have an excellent chance of getting all 3 points tonight, and plays his strongest side, and will make changes for the early kick-off game at Old Trafford on Saturday.
On the substitutes’ bench is 20 year-old full-back Massadio Haidara, and he is joined by Rob Elliot, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Vurnon Anita, Sammy Ameobi, Gabriel Obertan and Papiss Cisse.
That could mean that Massadio could get his first premier league start of the season at Old Trafford, and we have to think he has been impressive in training to even make the bench, with so much competition around.
Newcastle have a great chance against a Swansea side weakened by injury, and the lads will be going all out for our fifth Premier League win in a row, and if we can do that, we could be very handily placed tonight in the league table, and above out current 6th place.
For Swansea, former Newcastle winger Wayne Routledge is on the bench.
Howard Webb of Yorkshire is the referee.
