Moussa Sissoko in action tonight
All good things must come to an end, and Newcastle were second best tonight to a good Swansea side, and went down 3-0, which will do no good at all for our goal difference.
Let us know who you think our best player was tonight.

Given the injuries Laudrup has, he doesn’t have the option of “using his squad better”. I don’t have a problem with the line up he put out, but we seemed to sit deeper from the off. At Spurs we got straight in amongst it and pressed high. I don’t put it down to tiredness, just as I didn’t for last year.
Pardew said everyone was in great shape and everyone has been praising Faye Downey (on here) this week saying we look fitter, and now it is we were tired and Pards got selection wrong. Both can’t be true in this scenario.
If Pards got something wrong it was his overly defensive tactics, something which has been an issue for a while.

Comment #8yo -yo -wrong team using the wrong tactics. if he has used Saturdays team and instructed them to get at the Swans from the off – I would say reasonable tactics. The power and energy of our recent wins has been evident – just sitting back and inviting pressure with our players is not good. Can you not see that?

first goal dyer dived yet again for the fk before krul flapped it for no reason.
2nd goal ^^ i mean wth goofy got ran through by williamson and to start with ffs.
then another pen turned down for ourselves when it was a clear handball yay thx ref your doing a sterling job !!!
then deb’s should have hit the floor from shelvy’s head but the 12th swansea player deemed it to be fair ^^
and hey presto 3-0 >.<
ref needs the sack and i'm sure this will be a downer for our players now thx you &*(^^%^*(&^&*(*^&*((*&

Comment #13should be counterattacking against man utd not swansea who love to play keep ball, they have no recognised strikers i said we should have just gone balls out attack on them rather than sitting back
sometimes we can be rock solid with coloccini, but notice when he is in the team we are always prone to capitulation

Comment #14Debuchy my man of the match gave everything
unlucky with second goal
Luck ran out tonight
Kept his head when that DICK shitarse Shelvey ‘nutted him’
BUT
Did not understand substitutions
Krul should of tipped ball over bar for corner for first goal
AND – Howard Fuckin Webb call himself referee absolute arsehole
two stone wall penalties, Shelvey should of seen red
first goal never a foul – could of gone either way just Swansea know how to jump higher and squeel the loudest when tackled.
My anger tonight is aimed at that DICK WEBB

Comment #15We should have switched to a five man midfield as we were being easily overrun with Anita coming on for Shola
Bringing on TWO DEFENDERS and Obertan make’s no sense at all when we were losing the game.
It seems that Pardew is incapable of changing things when our back are against the wall

Comment #18aint going to call pards or his tactics (even though i would have had mbiwa in collo’s place and would have never bough ober on in a million years) i think what we did should have won the game if they didnt have there 12th man.

Comment #191 positive: we went down by one place.
Negatives: No fight, Poor tactics, no change of tactics, no fight by many of our players, poor substitutions, only 1 real effort at goal that troubled Vorm, No clean sheet, Conceded 3 to a mid table team who have played their 3rd game in 6 days and have 3 of their main strikers injured, sat back, no pressure and no one played Well. How can we be so poor after winning four on the bounce?

Comment #20Yes we should have had a penalty and they should have been down to 10 men, but we didn’t deserve to win because we hardly created anything .
From what I can remember Remy’s header in the first half and his blocked effort in the second that hit a hand are the only significant chances we created .
Not good enough .

Comment #21No excuses we were garbage.
Yes we’ve won 4 games on the trot but in all those games did we play decent football?????? NO
Pardew take a good long look at Swansea and see how the modern game should be played.
The lack of movement on the ball is unbelievable in our team.
And if Collicini wants driving to Argentina I’ll do it for him no problem….the sooner he f##ks off the better.
Destroyed the defence by bringing him back into the team……his sell buy date is well past so just let him go for free.
Defence against Man Utd for me has to be Santon RB Willaimson MBiwa Haidara LB
And if Anita can’t get a game from the bench after watching that shower of #### today I don’t know what the kid has to do.

Comment #24Pardew very reasonable and diplomatic again. Would be fun to see how SAF would have reacted on the handballs and headbutting incidents.
Couple of extra strikers would have been nice tonight.

Comment #25Lilongwe…I don’t put it down to tiredness in the sense of the word (though they looked leg-tired), but down to cleverness and tactics!
…in modern football you need to use the whole squad when it goes bad and even when it goes great.
You need to be clever and the the possibilities in the diverse team selection you have. Not just stick to a “winning formula”.
This has been my problem before this game and still is.

Comment #26Negativity appears again as soon as we slip up. Should have had a penalty and if Shelvey isn’t banned for his head butt then it’s a disgrace. Plenty of fighting spirit throughout but sometimes you just have to take it on the chin.
Surprising substitutions but I’m sure Pardew had his reasons. Still think Obertan has a future and like Hadeira every time I see him.
Don’t lose the faith because I wouldn’t be surprised if we go to Old Trafford and put one over them.
Howay the lads…………

Comment #27one of pardews tactics that never seems to go right for him .
he seems to lose his bottle and sets us out to soak up pressure and counter .
never works, always concede and are on the backfoot for the second half .
can understand games where we need todo this , but not with teams that can play some decent football .

Comment #29Pardew will just come out and say ‘We were tired tonight and didn’t get the rub of the green’. I’m now sick of this statement. Why can’t we put teams like Norwich to bed and win by 3, 4 or 5. It would make these 3-0 losses easier to take. It really winds me up looking at our goals difference.

Comment #31For all this pardew is a good man manager malarkey
is it good man management to drop a defender at the top of his game off the back of two clean sheets for a player who has just declared again that he wants to leave??
good management to say you will reward good performances and then when anita literally cant do any more still leaving him benched
i dont know
when alls good its very good, but apart from chelsea we havent looked convincing all season
pardew cant cope without 442, and has no plan b

could still be playing and would not score.
Debuchy my man of the match
for being unlucky with swanshits second goal and not reacting to Shelveys ‘headbutt’
Could not understand substitutions
Krul should of tipped ball out for first goal
BUT MY ANNOYANCE IS FOR THAT P**CK WEBB
If he is a ref I’ll show my backside in Fenwick’s window.
Two stonewall penalties
shelvey should of seen Red
Foul for first goal never a foul
If Swanshit squeeled when tackled he give thema Free kick
Hope Pardew speaks his mind and give him grief

Comment #35We we’re robbed big time tonight. Awful refereeing by Howard Webb, is he blind!? He cost us the match. But I must say what odd substitutions Pardew made. What was the point of bringing on Mbiwa?
Cabaye went missing all match.
Debuchy m.o.m the only player apart from Gouff that showed some desire to win.
Shame we didn’t win or draw as this result has dented our confidence somewhat.

Comment #37Pardew hasn’t got a clue when we go a goal down and just stands on the touchline like a deer in the headlights .
I lost count of how many times Swansea passed around us in triangles yet Pardew did nothing .
Unless we are playing 4-4-2 at home and score first Pardew is useless .

Comment #38The lads were tired after 4 great wins in a row. A top 4 place is still nailed on. We can win at Manure and kick on from there. Sir Alan is doing a great job. We should be proud of him and the team. I have not been so proud of the team since the Keegan days. Sir Alan can rightly compare himself with that era.
