Newcastle Can Be The Shock Team Today

8:25 am, Saturday, December 7th, 2013 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 7 Comments

When you win all of your four league games in November, and in the process beat Chelsea at home and Tottenham away, then the manager can expect to be Manager of the Month – since it’s not many teams that can win four in a row these days in the Premier League.

Alan Pardew – we have to start another run

And Newcastle manager Alan Pardew got his due reward yesterday when he was made Barclay’s Manager of the Month for November, and as added bonus Tim Krul was the Player of the Month, after putting in one of the best performances seen by a goalkeeper for some time in the Premier League, when he was simply magnificent in Newcastle’s 1-0 win at White Hart Lane.

But that’s now all over and done with, and nobody can rest on their laurels – not in the Premier league anyway –  and this is what Alan has said today in the local press:

“I think Shola said in the dressing room that run is done now.” “We can’t go back. We have to start another one. That’s exactly what you want to hear from your players.”

“We have a good spirit and have everybody fit. We will give Man United a good run for their money.” “I think the performance against Chelsea was the highlight.”

“I felt we deserved to win that game.” “We had good control of that game against a top team.” “The Spurs game I thought we played very well first half but did hang on in the second.”

“Obviously Tim won Player of the Month probably for that performance.” “It was a stand-out performance.” “Probably the best goalkeeping performance of the season.”

After being beaten by Swansea 3-0 at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday night, it doesn’t get any easier today with a trip to Old Trafford, where we haven’t won in 41 years.

And it would be just like Newcastle to shock everybody and come away with a win – and certainly if we can do that then Geordie spirits will be soaring again on Tyneside – and around the world for that matter.

With coloshitty in the line up a shockingly bad result is most certainly possible if not likely. Swansea scored 3 without a striker. Imagine what ManU will do with Wellbeck and RVP in their line up. It wont be for the faint of heart.

No chance today. 4-0 if we’re lucky. Why could we not have Laudrup as manager or the Southampton chap? We might get somewhere in a cup then. When I was young I used to think success was soon to come. Now: no chance. Well, I’m repeating myself…

    My team today
    Debutchery Mwanga Williamson Hiadara
    Gouffy Cabs Tiote Anita Dummet
    Amiobi Remi HBA

    We’ll need all 13!

Apparently we won 7-1 at Old Trafford in 1928 and 7-4 a few years lated. Soooo, if we can score 7 we should be assured of a win.

He can win as many awards as luck will let him but he’s still not good enough for NUFC.
