Extremely Close For Man Of The Match At Old Trafford

It’s a very close race for Man of the Match yesterday, with two Newcastle men on the same percentage at the moment.

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Manchester United v Newcastle United - Old Trafford

Check Tiote in action yesterday

Both Mathieu Debuchy and  Cheick Tiote are level on 27% of the vote each, and of course both players were simply magnificent for Newcastle at Old Trafford yesterday.

Mike Williamson, Moussa Sissoko and Yohan Cabaye are next in line, after just a brilliant performance from our lads yesterday, and the first win there since 1972, when Dennis Law, Bobby Charlton and George Best were in the Manchester United side.

Just watched this mornings MOTD….who edited that match? It certainly bore no resemblance to the one I watched yesterday.

At the moment Willo is as good as any other english CB. But he won’t get the nod because….well he’s Willo. Unsung hero who was (maybe rightly so) branded as a Championship caliber defender a year ago but is now showing the quality of that 5th place season again.

Shame because I think he deserves it, but people would be on his ass the moment he makes a mistake for the ENG team.

I didn’t see MOTD but i hear they barely gave us any credit. Was Alan not on today?

I was watching the US version of MOTD and they were much more generous to us.

I know people would love to
think we look like Brazil in the
yellow shirt, but people I am
sorry to tell you we look more
like Sweden hence the blue on
    the shirt
…sorry lads I know you had your
hopes up but Brazil wears a
    yellow shirt with green lol

Just seen Osivedo’s goal for Southy some goal and the way they play are going to give us more problems than Man Utd.
Going to be a tough game but we can still win.

The whole Team played well yesterday but i feel the same as Charlie @9 !

Southampton will be a tougher match away,
I voted for Anita for Man of the Match, but Collo played well too!

MOTD showed just how much they can make a poor performance by Manure look good and then not give any credit for the opposing team winning at all .

And Shearer hardly said anything at all about the lads performance.
Some things never change i suppose !

clinath@ed I’d commented in a similar vein on the previous thread. MoTD was more about how ManU lost rather than that they beaten by a far better side and manager on the day.

Why does the media have trouble giving us credit, beats me!
