Remy – It’s Going Well – I’m Proud Of All The Players

Loic Remy has been great for us this season, but last week the French International striker uncharacteristically missed two good chances that would surely have seen Newcastle beat Southampton.

Loic Remy – Newcastle are number one – obviously

And the striker has been interviewed today in the local press and he seems to be happy enough at Newcastle at the moment:

“It is going well. I missed two goals last week.” “But it is going very good, I’m very proud of all the players.” “We have to stay with the same focus.”

“I am sure at the end if we keep going like that we can have the Champions League.”“I’m not surprised because two years ago they did it.”

“It is normal because we have done good work and we have quality.” “I knew we could do that.”  “It’s different. We have a break in France until January 25.”

“I don’t have a break this year, so I will see if my body is OK.”  “It is a good thing because people come with their family to see the games on Boxing Day.”

“Most of the players want to find the sun.”  “It is very cold in France during December.”  “They can stay with family or have a Christmas party.”

“In general for me I go to my origin country and it is very hot.”  “It’s very different, for me, it’s the first time.”  “My family will be here in one week.” “The fact that my family is here is very important.”

He’s in  beautiful Newcastle in winter, so why all the references to hot weather – that’s a little bit of a mystery right there, although he does say it’s very cold in France at this time of year – presumably not in the south of France.

The big question with Loic is what his future aspirations are, and whether he will sign full-time for Newcastle either next month or in the summer – that decision could be crucial for Newcastle.

Away from the coast France and Germany are bloody Freezing as there is no sea water/currents to help keep the land warm.
    never mind the geography lesson.
Not sure what team I would start at Palace

Like to see the team that started at Man Utd with the five man midfield.
BUT – Will be a physical game today
So I would imagine Pardew will start with Shola up front for his presence alongside Remy and a four man midfield.

    Hatem,

One of the reasons there is only you and Ed is. …. The likes of you.

Last article first post you slag Pardew and first post on this one its Ashley’s turn.

Reading the same rehashed slagging posts from you is not what people come on this blog for.

    4-4-2 against 4-4-2

could be a good game today, Newcastle have a much bigger squad than Palace but on the other hand we have Pardew, Palace don’t

i think today’s game we should approach a 4-3-3 system, over run there midfield and Palace would be put under pressure and panic

It’s a lovely day in Andalucia so I’m off out with the dogs.

    Have fun lads.
Hope Pardew doesn’t mess up again. Defending instead of attacking.

Anyone any idea what state the pitch is in? Has it been raining much in London? Sorry guys, I’m somewhere slightly warmer at the moment. I think the pitch will have a bearing on what team Pardew goes for. If it’s heavy, I think Shola will start.

Hatem, your Ashley out obsession’s boring.

Please change the record or better still, lock it away somewhere where items out of temptation’s way.
