It’s days like today I hate our fans.

All i’ve read is how this player is shit or that player is shit. HBA has got so much stick for having 2 shots – Yes 2 f’g shots. He’s scored from there before.

The same people slating our players are the same ones who lick there arses on other days.

Ruddy – a matter of opinion and I disagree. I lost count of the quality balls into the box not met by any striker, and the options for HBA when he went into the side netting were no better than trying himself. I wish he had crossed it into the box, but I very much doubt it would have had any more chance of going in given the whole match form.

On the other hand, Hatem was a main reason why we were able to apply so much presssure in the last half hour.

I thought Santon going RW was bizzarre and overcrowded, he should have just gone off.

@ asenski cause i had enough of fans asking for the sacking of Pardew when we’re enjoying the best runs in the league since Bobby Robson , the best team in ages and just lost 1-0 to the league leaders in a very competitive game.

We would have lost by many goals had we gone balls deep @ Arsenal.

Pardew is doing a fine job.

I’ve never been the biggest pardew fan but have I missed something?

Didn’t you say we were going to cream them 3-1 because we were the most in-form team in the league!!

    I may be fickle but that’s spectacular…!

P1ssed off as Arsenal did not deserve the win and we should have drawn, but I’m pleased as well because I”ve been impressed with our performances so far this season. Surely 66 points is the target as we have 33 at halfway.
hopefully Pardew has learned Santon should play on the right because he was just poor before then but improved at RM.
Debuchy my MOTM. He is the best RB in the league and was excellent today as was Williamson who once again made not one mistake.
West Brom is a must win game to stay in contention with the too 4. Such a shame Everton and Man U won. Stoke better beat Spurs too

roy its only because you reacted so badly to my asking what you meant by a post that I find you offensive. You seem to react that way with anyne who interacts with you.

Plus you seem to have no knowledge of the game which is usually a fatal flaw in offering opinion.

    repost:

Yup Remy on a permanent deal is A MUST. Any of those strikers is much better than Strolla. He can bully defences at times but that’s it, it’s not like he’s going to score off that. That’s the main problem, it’s the only thing he offers, Stoke type bullying. Not enough at this level.

Every time he’s on is like shooting ourselves on the foot.

I don’t want to be a broken record but it’s been so plain to see for years and now that we have assembled a fabulous squad he really stands out as the weakest link that should be removed entirely.

Really any player is an upgrade from him sadly, he’s that bad. If he weren’t a Geordie he would have been harassed and laughed at from every NUFC fan everywhere.

Liverfool 1-0 up already! The special one is being found out at last, I always knew he was nothing special. Overhyped and arrogant asshole.

I don’t know what result would suit us best between Liverfool v Cheski hmmm.

i do agree we do not seem to create many goals in free open build up play and we do appear to have little method other than flinging in hopeful crosses whether playing a target man or not.

cabaye’s goals at united and palace showed intelligent build up play but it is all too rare.

Sorry but you do realise santon was switched to RW to cover for Debuchy who was knackered and to plug any leaks behind HBA going at them dont you? Good. Santon is no winger please let that sink in.

TheToonKing #8 – SPOT ON. Too many ungrateful pricks on here.

They either have very short memories and don’t know how bad we can be or can never be happy. I bet we somehow win the league and they would still complain about something.

It makes me sick to my stomach.

Arsenal are a great team, and they expectedly had us chasing shadows for a great deal of the match. Their first touch and movement is second to none.
But I couldn’t help but be proud at the effort shown, and the onslaught we provided in the last 10-15 minutes of both the first half and the second.
Although it didn’t necessarily affect the outcome of the game, the referee and his officials were absolutely atrocious today. I don’t know if it’s because they’re plain poor but sometimes from the stands it looks almost blatant.
It’s interesting that Arsenal have a site that analyzes referees (as they feel hard done by!) and today’s ref is one of the worst of the lot.

We need a player like Coutinho and Ba. One that has a great pass, technical ability and can dribble, something Cabaye can’t do.

Ba to hold up the play and be a goal threat with decent pace, something that Strolla will never be sadly.

Cabaye is great but he can’t dribble and we need that in midfield. If we have a player of his ilk but can dribble too we are sorted in midfield.

Up front bring back Demba Ba and get rid of Gutierrez, Obertan, Amalfitano and Vuckic.

poor passing by a few players today and poor power upfront cost us but we certainly didn’t deserve to lose!
how many times will you see arsenal as rattled as they were in the last 10 this season infact i don’t think i’ve ever seen them so worried tbh
great performance apart from the final 3rd
but showed how good a team we are and on to the next game!

get lost go watch your barcalona and Madrid.

Newcastle have did excellent arsenal are a team who we seem to always find hard even keegan and robson.

the poor forward play at the minute is something pardew can do nothing about FACT.

remy and cisse both need a strong holder of the ball

    they go like this
    ______________cabaye
    ______________remy

    wide man O———–>Oshola
    remy / / \
    \ O CB___CB
    \/
    goal

that is how they play but we don’t want shola he is rubbish

so what can pardew do NOTHING

Good to see reason prevail, all too often defeat makes the blog descend into the darkest it of hooro but today I think everyne acquitted themselves well.

Doff of the cap to Pardew for setting out a good stall againsta CL-seasoned squad of depth and quality, and it could have been us with a freak goal with Remy, two great takedowns from Debuchy… on another day.

Teams who come to SJP now can expect to pack extra shorts once more. 🙂

To be fair we had the best chances. Arsenal never had any major threats until their lucky goal. Undeservedly we lost. A draw would be a fair result for both teams. But there wasn’t much more we could do.

I am proud of the lads today for a real gutsy performance from an in form Arsenal. Unfortunately Remy and Anita weren’t in the game today :/

But let’s look at the major positive that is Debuchy. He is really making huge strides at the minute and it’s great to see us having a great defence for a change.

He was our most threatening player in the match and is our secret weapon as many teams don’t have fullbacks that cause the opposition so many problems. Great to see.

That proves how impressive he was.
