Has to be Willo or Cheik. Only two players to really give it a good go.

Well what a shocking performance from every single player not going to single any one player out, they were all well well under par

Sadly can’t argue with any decision against us, Ref had a good game
Debuchy’s red was well deserved, but I’m not going to let one moment of madness overshadow the fact he’s been our MOTM for about 2 months! Hopefully he gets a b0llocking and puts it behind him
And the penalty was stonewall, krul as usual hesitated then got it all wrong

And please give poor Goofy a rest the lad looked absolutely knackered against Arsenal so can’t understand starting him today, same with Remy and Santon

    Thump
Are you sure? How come Mark Wilson was playing for stoke today, thought he got a straight Red or was that over turned?

  • 5 bigiffius // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:24 PM

I’m not answering that. That was woeful!

  • 6 jesperfuglsang - captain of the lemon crew // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:24 PM

Santon or Cabs were probably the only ones really trying!

…fairly difficult to say anything about the subs; a horrible game to come into.

  • 7 NUFCarter // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:25 PM

Hopefully Man U and spurs can draw later. We can still compete for 5th

  • 8 Ancientcoptic // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:25 PM

    Mbiwa for me.

  • 9 Himanshu Dhingra // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:25 PM

Colo out for upto 6 weeks! Ligament Injury

  • 10 Nufc-83 // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:26 PM

Ameobi is so useless and has been for such a long time the day we get rid will be like wining the title for me. I would fine debuchy for a tackle like that it was totally stupid and blew us out of a game that we where strugging in already.

  • 11 pottsclock // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:26 PM

This season has a long way to go yet……..

  • 12 Assam Toon // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:26 PM

For a change I was worried about the Albion player’s safety in that debuchy lunge. What was he thinking? That cannot be done in modern football.

  • 13 Tsunki // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:27 PM

Willo and Colo stood out until the latter had to go off. Ref ok today but the decisions that allowed Cabs and Colo to get nobbled were a let down on a day when not one yellow card was flashed. Tiote doesnt get it because he gave a couple of very careless and potentially costly balls away, and wasted a few timely pass opportunities.

    A bit of perspective, perhaps?

It was a horrible day for a footy match, but we seemed in charge with the bulk of possession first half. Problem is that we rendered ourselves ineffective with Remy up front and Gouffran running around in circles looking for Santon, who again had a nightmare. I lost count of the times Colo and Willo stepped out of position to help him. Debuchy looked for all the world like he decided he didnt want to play any more with that headless tackle.

Mistakes of the day were leaving Ameobi and Sissoko on too long, puttng HBA on the right. Add Tim Krul not coming out to claim enough and all that was required was a lapse in concentration again and boom there’s your single goal loss a la Arsenal game.

A horrible place on a horrible day with a couple of setup mistakes. Move on, there will be a new shape for the cup to practice for the Manc game.

Was a disgusting performance. We can beat Manure away but we get turned over by a very TURD WBA. Thats NUFC i know of lol.

  • 15 Magickit // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:27 PM

Please give score for these 4 players first for this match

    1. Ameobi
    2. Ben Arfa
    3. Sissoko
    4. Remy

    !!!!!!!!!XXXXXXX

  • 16 Tsunki // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:28 PM

Jesper – Santon? There were times I had no idea where he was on the pitch he was so out of position.

  • 17 Ancientcoptic // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:28 PM

Sunderland fan on talksport going beserk LMAO – kinda puts our problems in perspective.

  • 18 Malta Mag // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:30 PM

Tactics were correct even though I’m not a Shola fan. With a big strong WBA team we needed added presence and although it was an awful game you can’t blame Alan Pardew or Mike Ashley for that reckless challenge by Debuchy? Some of you will no doubt be pleased as it gives you a chance to have your normal rant and whinge. Thank f*** I don’t sit next you when I come over, because hanging’s too good for some on here. Best player Williamson. PARDEW FOR PRIME MINISTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 19 Toon1978 // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:31 PM

Collo out, Debuchy banned. Great start to 2014. City next league game at home. Today was a game that was very important with getting beat at home. The French are great players when things are going good but when things get tough, they arent interested. We seriously miss some English grit. Barton and Nolan big misses. We couldnt string 5 passes together in the second half.

  • 20 Thump // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:31 PM

@Ancientcoptic: What are they saying, like? While I’m pissed off that we didn’t get a win, I’m glad that we’re still sitting in mid table.

That said, Sunderland will probably still beat us. The French contingent don’t seem to know how to handle being crowded out.

  • 21 Ben3arfa // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:31 PM

Joe Kinnear wont sign us any players this window either.

talk about the sweetest job in the world, doing sh1te all for a years salary out of fat Ashleys pocket.

gosh some scumbags have it easy in life

  • 22 pottsclock // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:32 PM

I’d like to see the penalty again. I might be completely wrong but this is how I read it….
Haidara wins ball and passes out to Benny. Rush of blood to his fresh legs and Haidara tanks it up the field and past Benny expecting a pass back. Benny has 3 men on him and loses the ball. Haidara then has to tank back and a rush of blood takes him back past the defensive line and too deep. Defense try to move up and result is a through ball leading to opportunity.
It just looked a bit headless chicken from Haidara but I may be wrong.

Ed – Are you fcuking joking with that headline!??

  • 24 Ancientcoptic // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:34 PM

Thump, the Sunderland fan was stating that management has nothing to do with their problems… he was putting the blame firmly down to the players, he made a swipe about the team eating one or two xmas pies too. heh

They will never blame Di Canio… he got them a win over us, so he is pretty much folklore for them.

  • 25 geordiemark // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:35 PM

lets get something straight were not going to finish in the top 6, we have got away with murder sometimes during a good run of results we all know it, we have 33 points lets get to 45 points to safe guard our season of top flight football next season then talk about the top 5

its crystal clear that remy does not want to stay with us so its easy buy a striker and let him go back to qpr now, I dont like players who are on loan in the first place going on about wanting champions league football so part of the ways now saves all the hasstle at later date, id sell ben arfa hes a luxury player we cant afford am not all that impressed with sossoko either, we need a creative midfielder who can run with the ball and distribute it, a battler gets stuck into it to many fairies playing football these days

  • 26 JP...from The Rock // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:37 PM

Perhaps Willo comes in with a shout but none deserve to be praised after what has been the most infuriating 90 minutes I can remember.

We will never get CL if we play like that again. It was so so so bad. New QUALITY signings, especially a proper striker would lift my spirits on NUFC. That would mean the end of that donkey Strolla for good.

  • 27 Tsunki // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:38 PM

Yes, we all need to take a step back from today, it was a bad one at the office but these games do happen.

    Aren’t we glad we aren’t s*nderland?

  • 28 Our Toon // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:40 PM

    Malta Mag

451 has worked for last 2 away games and against 2 improving teams!! We got maximum pts from them 2 performances, we should have attacked arsenal on Saturday and started with Shola (personally feel he shouldn’t be playing at all) or with HBA who quite frankly looks like he just doesn’t care anymore and I can’t blame him, in what world does Shola consistently get the nod over HBA? Clueless pards world!!

Funny how many agree with pards that HBA shouldn’t be playing yet these same fans want him to come on when things aren’t going well!! MOTM against Stoke to dropped for next 2 games, ridiculous decisions!! As for tiredness….others have used there squads we haven’t so that is again a mistake by management!!

  • 29 geordiemark // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:41 PM

I said on the forum this morning that WBA was a dodgy game oh well cant win them all can we

its january lets see how mr ashley does in the transfer market I wont hold my breath though

  • 30 stuart no9 // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:41 PM

I’m afraid the writing was on the wall at the stoke game . Untill the 2 sendings off , we weren’t in it . The arsenal game was there for the taking , we didn’t take it , and now that shambles today . The decline has started , pardew has had his good spell for this season like he does every season, the knack is sustaining it and I am afraid thT is where he struggles , and always will . Let’s just hope we can manage to stay in the top half of the league or round abouts .

  • 31 JP...from The Rock // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:44 PM

WBA is our bogey team but I still expected a fight, not that sorry shIt!

  • 32 jordijohnty // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:45 PM

barton and nolan? wtf? about as relevant as billy askew and roy aitken. jeeez!

  • 33 geordiemark // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:46 PM

    stuart no9

45-50 points does me puts us safe but the manager naa said it last season said it this season he is crap and always will be and his excuses are even worse then his management skills :)

  • 34 jordijohnty // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:47 PM

8th is where we are and 8th is where we will stay in may. In august we would have been well happy with that.Galling to think we are not that far behind the teams competing for the champions league spots

  • 35 TorqToon // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:51 PM

Dire display by our lads. Most of them looked shattered. Highlighted our lack of a true squad depth.

  • 36 JP...from The Rock // Jan 1, 2014 at 5:52 PM

How will our defense line up now with Debuchy banned and Colo injured?

Not good news especially when we’ve just lost our second successive match.

  • 37 Nikolai // Jan 1, 2014 at 6:08 PM

I think it is safe to say the captain’s days on Tyneside are pretty much over. He has been my favorite center back for years, but I don’t think his head is in the right place. Time to bring in a proper replacement.
    Kostas Manolas, Kouyate?

  • 38 K T Cat // Jan 1, 2014 at 9:34 PM

    Cabaye then Willo for me.

I hate to say it, but I think the European dream for this season is over unless we land a stellar striker in January. If we’d had Gomis all along, I think we’d have another 6 points. Today, with a decent central striker, we could have been up by 2 before Debuchy lost his mind. Instead we’ve got nothing.
