This Unlikely Lad Is Our Man Of The Match At West Brom

5:42 pm, Thursday, January 2nd, 2014 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 160 Comments

Mike Williamson is our Man of the Match for yesterday’s game at the Hawthorns, when we suffered our second successive 1-0 defeat after Mathieu Debuchy had been sent off after 62 minutes for a two footed challenge, and West Brom won the game with a late penalty – their first win in 11 games – when they beat Crystal Palace 2-0 on November 2nd. :(

Mike Williamson – having his best season ever at Newcastle

Mike had another steady and stalwart game at the back for Newcastle, and with Coloccini now out injured for maybe over a month, Mike will continue to be an important player for Newcastle.

He has 43% of the vote and he’s followed by Cheick Tiote in second place with  14%, and Cheick will likely take over the Newcastle captaincy in Colo’s absence.

And it’s interesting that Debuchy – who was sent off yesterday and will now miss the next three games – is still third in our poll with 7% of the vote.

Our best player so far this season if you ask me, Its between him and Debuchy, but the suspensions have swung my opinion in Iron Mike’s favour.

  • 2 Charlietoon // Jan 2, 2014 at 6:00 PM

Well 7% of fans are complete Koopas so thats fair enough

  • 3 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 6:05 PM

For me there are a lot of players I would sell before considering off-loading Cisse. I would trade him if it get us someone better though.

We should get rid off all or few of Obertan, Marveux, Jonas, Shola, Colo and S.Taylor in this window and try to get players can make us challenge for the big money.

I’m not worried about letting so much experience go now since we are in such good position in table that we can a survive worst case scenario.

If we fail get into money we might have to sell World-cup inflated player for big money in the summer.

  • 4 bishopblaize // Jan 2, 2014 at 6:09 PM

Mike has been an unbelievable asset this season and really showed his commitment in games of late?

The forward line however need replacing ASAP and we can challenge for almost everything put in front of wor!

Hope we have a successful transfer window both in’s & out’s.

Our defensive players should be seeing more effect from our offensive play with a better margin of goals.

Need us back challenging foe Europa & More :)

  • 5 Jail for Ashley // Jan 2, 2014 at 6:13 PM

I’d say top ten is nailed on this season, really can’t see us bringing anyone in, people say we bought Cisse when we were fifth but he was a year late.

  • 6 Magpies-till-d3ath // Jan 2, 2014 at 6:18 PM

My dreams for tonight are all sorted.

    Debuchy Williamson M’Biwa Santon
    Tiote Cabaye
    Ben Arfa Cabella Gouffran

The best way for Ashley to give JK a shred of credibility would be to sanction a decent signing or two.

Not saying it will happen but I wouldn’t be at all surprised.

  • 8 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 6:31 PM

Yeah but JFK has to then negotiate that signing after identifying a target…..

  • 9 Jail for Ashley // Jan 2, 2014 at 6:41 PM

I still haven’t got the faintest idea what JfK actually does.

  • 10 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 6:48 PM

Security footage from his office, top secret, got it from Belfast who’s actually Indykalia….

JFK won’t sanction transfers. His job is to arrange them, he’s just a facilitator.

Ashley will have set the budget and from what we’ve seen so far, will also have the final say.

Let’s hope JFK can arrange a few goo uns and Ashley doesn’t say no.

  • 14 lesh // Jan 2, 2014 at 6:53 PM

Repost from previous thread but it seems relevant to recent posts on this one:

It’d have been good if we could have announced signings instead of reading of speculation and rumour.

Kinnear’s been with the club since June and we’ve yet to see any evidence to justify him.

What is he for? What has he done that’s of any value? Where’re the signings he’s asked to be judged on?

Answers on a postcard to Mike Ashley

  • 15 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 6:54 PM

No one said JFK sanctions transfers?

  • 16 Jail for Ashley // Jan 2, 2014 at 6:54 PM

  • 17 ToonDarnSarf // Jan 2, 2014 at 6:59 PM

    Bills said he should.

  • 18 lesh // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:00 PM

Looking qt the pics you posted, it looks as though the Cabella story’s got legs after all. Kinnear’s clearly done his best to evade the French media!

  • 19 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:01 PM

No bills said MA should sanction a signing or 2 for JFK to give him some credibility/justification

  • 20 ToonDarnSarf // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:03 PM

I stand corrected. I misread it.

  • 21 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:06 PM

I think it’s a big chance that Marveaux will go in the other direction if they are prepared to sell Cabella since his brother plays for Montpellier.

  • 22 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:11 PM

As long as he stays out of french media, smile and use a politically correct translator, we should be fine with negotiations overseas.

  • 23 Jail for Ashley // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:12 PM

I think that’s the only way we’ll manage to offload Obertan and Marv in a swap and cash otherwise the two of them are nailed on to see their contracts out, I can imagine Marv is on decent wedge on account of him being a free.

  • 24 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:18 PM

Don’t think anyone is any doubt over who controls the purse strings

But i think there’s plenty of understandable doubt over exactly just what it is that JFK is currently doing to justify a wage!
In his words judge him by his signings, so far that’s one loan player

Granted the window is literally just open but i certainly fully expect to see 1-2 signings, MA may not want to or see the need to make those signings given league position but it’s JFK’s job as our man with the “football knowledge” to convince why it is so very very important we add these few players and shift out some dead wood if were to maintain our current form and in there words continue to challenge

I have major doubts the JFK is up to the job tbh

  • 25 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:22 PM

Yeah they aren’t easy to sell because of their wages. We could probably get teams to pay a transfer fee for them but not sure they would be prepared to drop their wages.

Marv might be willing to drop some more, to play with his brother.

  • 26 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:30 PM

Would def love to see that done as business! Get Marv and Obertan off the books and get in one quality player who actually makes the matchday squad

Someone earlier said about using Gosling as part of a deal for Ince, but why would Blackpool do that when they can get him for nout in the summer? In fact why did we even let him go out on loan why not just say £1 mil he’s yours instead of letting him run down his contract elsewhere?

  • 27 toonicle // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:34 PM

Why aren’t we looking to sign Wells? Pacey and young and would work as a wide attacker.

  • 28 Jail for Ashley // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:37 PM

I’d hazard a guess that they tried to flog him but just settled on Bpool paying his wages.

  • 29 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:40 PM

To be fair on Kinnear not signing anybody and bring Remy on loan is not that bad if you compare it buying couple of shit players on high wages just to sign somebody to prove he is up to something.

He addressed those issue he saw when he came lack of goals and lack of fitness.

Pardew probably did his best to convince him to give certain players a chance and wait until Christmas.

We missed few good deals in summer but a lot of them was bullets dodged.

  • 30 ToonDarnSarf // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:45 PM

I agree. But notwithstanding JFK’s bizarre outbursts, I’ve got no reason to believe that he can’t do the job.

1 or 2 signings to keep things fresh, that would work for me too. And yes, we will judge JFK on his signings, just as he asked us.

  • 31 ToonDarnSarf // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:47 PM

“Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert says clubs could do without FA Cup”

And to think some on here went mental when our board said that the league is the priority.

    Face it, football has changed.

  • 32 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:50 PM

True mate shame we couldn’t do the same Obertan and Marvuex!

He didn’t do much to address the lack of natural width which was the number one problem he identified
Remy was a deal that let’s be honest can’t of been that hard to do, we’d already had a deal in place once before and there were absolutely tonnes of people claiming a loan deal was essentially done before season even ended when it was painfully clear which way QPR were going
Faye Downey was appointed before kinnear so i don’t think he can be credited with addressing the squad fitness either as that was identified the previous season and something Pardew had said he wanted addressed
I don’t think he’s justified his position in any way shape or form

  • 33 pottsclock // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:51 PM

Here’s a thought. Is Lescott on his way back to Everton hence we’re being linked with their existing CBs?

  • 34 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:56 PM

We probably wasn’t sure what to do with Gosling in the summer so loaning him out to see how he developed, was probably the plan and then extend his contract if he became as success.

In terms of the Ince deal. I agree it doesn’t make sense anymore.

  • 35 GeordieTwo // Jan 2, 2014 at 7:58 PM

Anybody think we’ll bring anyone in? Remy seems to have faded a bit and really doesn’t show much interest in staying with us past next summer. He wants a Champs League club which we aren’t. We seem to be quite a streaky club in fact and we’re in a losing streak right now unless we play brilliantly against Man City. It feels good to be back on the blog. A hello to everyone. I think a decent striker is in order with Shola in his thirties, Remy not interested in staying and only Gouffy and Cabaye to pot goals now and then otherwise. Surely we can afford one new player?

  • 36 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:05 PM

You are correct with Faye Downey. I’m doing my best to stay positive despite Kinnear. So yeah most things was already in place and planned.

  • 37 pottsclock // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:06 PM

I think JFK will sign that young prospect he’s been scouting at Blackpool…. What’s his name?

  • 38 pottsclock // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:07 PM

    Gosling…that’s it!

  • 39 GeordieTwo // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:11 PM

Is anybody else looking at a cartoon of an infected American who apparently is in rough shape? Why isn’t he obese as well? At least it’s better than the old toe fungus ad.

  • 40 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:12 PM

Tbf to gosling he’s looked pretty decent for Blackpool this season but does that mean he’s developed or simply found his level?

  • 41 GeordieTwo // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:13 PM

There’s a very good winger/LB at Birmingham that Joe has his eye on as well. I believe his name is Ferguson? Joe is right on top of things for us.

  • 42 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:16 PM

    Geordie Two
Very good? Let’s not be silly!

Fair enough mate, wish i shared your enthusiasm towards JFK’s ability but sadly i really don’t! Hopefully he’ll answer some critics this window

  • 43 wolfshead@toon // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:17 PM

getting in cabella would be sweet even more so if we could then sell hatem’ side netting ‘ ben arfa

  • 44 Charlie in the Gallowgate // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:18 PM

    bloody hell
two days in and we are going to sign this that ‘n’ other.
Just waiting from ‘my mate works at Newcastle Airport has just seen ???? come through customs.’

He He He ain’t the transfer window fun!!!!!!

  • 45 GeordieTwo // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:20 PM

You know me tads, I would never be silly mate. I think we have the right players out on loan except as you say we should have sold Gosling not loaned him out. The same goes for Amalfitano. And we should have sold Squidward already. So actually Joe is doing absolutely nothing for us so far. His wage is being well spent then Ash.

  • 46 Rotonda heights // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:21 PM

Cabella would be an amazing signing for an attack minded manager but wouldn’t thrive under Pardew.

  • 47 jimmysmith // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:22 PM

I quite like Joe. He doesn’t talk now does he. Seems Ash has had a quiet word and that’s coal boxed all of that nonsense. Quite right too, he’s not the manager, and we have that to be thankful for certainly. He hasn’t failed yet either in his responsibilities, which I suspect are quite clipped anyway. Remy was a good bit of business for the club and we need to shift one or two before we sign again it would appear. Gos looks gone and we might be able to do a couple of swap or loan deals to clear up the space to bring one good signing in, which again would be good business and improve an already top core group of players. I’m cautiously optimistic, which in and of itself should set alarm bells ringing, I suppose. But hey, it’s the Toon. So what are ya gonna do and who fuggen knows?

  • 48 wolfshead@toon // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:29 PM

i havent seen this level of animosity towards pards from you in a while dont know why but your arm must be tired you have been stabbing away at him all day lol

  • 49 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:29 PM

Just make sure you let us know the second your mate at the airport hears anything ;)

  • 50 GeordieTwo // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:31 PM

In what respect do you quite like Joe jimmysmith mate? If his role is clipped what is the point? No decent football man in his right mind would work for Ashley. Look at who we’ve had: Lambsarse and JFK. Who’s next, Seinfeld?

  • 51 GeordieTwo // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:34 PM

Pardew will continue to be average for us. He’ll continue to yammer on about winning a cup and we won’t. He’ll say our goal is a Europa place and then curse and tell us it’s too many extra games. He’ll continue to beg Kinnear for incoming which will fall on deaf ears. He won’t even know which of our players will be sold until they’re out the door. Situation normal at Newcastle United.

  • 52 pottsclock // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:36 PM

Santon’s agent saying nice things about the club and that Santon is well-settled and looking to go nowhere. Good to hear in a transfer window. Sky Sports.

  • 53 jimmysmith // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:42 PM

I think as part of a group of four including Carr, Pardew and Ashley he might have a role to play in getting the right bodies in.

I like because he’s a character, although didn’t see him as a particularly good manager in the short time he was in that role and it’s too early to say that he’s a poor DOF, in my view, although of course that wouldn’t ultimately come as a surprise either. I’d like him to succeed though.

  • 54 Rotonda heights // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:42 PM

Grim reality came crashing back as I knew it would. Krul’s heroics v Spurs and 2 red cards v Stoke helped mask a lot of deficiencies for a little while.

Let’s be honest if this club was run properly Pardew and JFK wouldn’t be anywhere near this club

  • 55 asenski // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:45 PM

liverpool in for momo diame from west ham just for 3.5 mil what a deal is that
wish we had got him as he is twice the player anita is imo

  • 56 GeordieTwo // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:49 PM

Some good points there jimmysmith @53. I would love to have a more normal owner who could at least speak to the supporters instead of hiding in the castle. And if he had some football ambition he would bring in some decent managerial talent as well. Make it clear there is a definite budget to stay within but forget hiring old drinking pals. Just a few thoughts to improve us which won’t happen.

  • 57 asenski // Jan 2, 2014 at 8:49 PM

but apart from any transfer news here i wonder how people could be so high with the expectations and awaitings
a couple of tranfer windows under pardew ..he has got cabaye/arfa/sissoko/remy / gouff and we till play defensive, slow and unattractive football
and cabella or any player won’t change that

  • 58 GeordieTwo // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:02 PM

Do the 250 million infected Americans also have toenail fungus? Why no interest in that region? Of course the genital itching may be making it difficult to concentrate on goings on further down.

  • 59 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:06 PM

Our next manager will have greater squad as long as we keep hold of the players Pardew buy.

  • 60 jimmysmith // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:10 PM

I actually think we are a noticeably more capable of knocking it around nowadays. Lots of neat stuff in midfield. Tiote in particular, surprisingly good in passing and movement, relative to what we’ve seen in the past. The final ball is still a bit lacking though, I guess.

A Scholes or Del Piero type in the hole would elevate us immeasurably, of course.

  • 61 GeordieTwo // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:12 PM

You know that cartoon of an infected American reminds me a lot of pictures of Ashley. Especially the fatigue, bloating and from what his latest date has said the genital itching and constipation as well. No wonder he stays in the castle.

  • 62 Charlie in the Gallowgate // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:13 PM

trouble is doesn’t know Ben Arfa from Ben Nevis

  • 63 asenski // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:18 PM

i have bad feeling that pardew will have the luck to go through many transfer windows at nufc and waving goodbye to most of our current players
how can you want to buy great players, get them and after that you just mess up the things …should admit that to pardew
i mean he has the best players he has ever trained and probably will ever but can’t get the best out of them and most of all- already threatening marveaux, cise ,and arfa’s carrers

  • 64 IITianToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:26 PM

The Cabella story seems out of the blue and since it came from French sources, maybe there is some truth in it!

But I agree with many posters on here, under Pardew we will always be the team who will more often than not win 1-0, 2-1 with the odd emphatic 3-0 thrown in for good measure :D

  • 65 IITianToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:28 PM

Now that Colo is out injured and Debuchy suspended, it gives a chance to see MYM and Haidara get a run of games to prove themselves. Let’s see how well they stack up! Look at the positive side of things guys, always! :)

  • 66 Marty-Toon // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:30 PM

Hate transfer time just hoping that we don’t sell our best players and having our hopes dashed by thinking we’re gonna sign some top players :-0
Hopefully though in 3/4 years time Mbabu,Good,Sammy,Richardson and some of the other youngsters have been imbedded into the first team thus giving us a good team coming through the ranks.
It’s great that we pick up decent players from France that get us excited now n again but they won’t stick around until we start challenging at the top 4.
It’s easy to see Ash is happy staying in around 10th and staying in the PL for the money but hopefully we’ll grow the academy and it’ll pay off.
Seen on SkySports about the Spanish league, they were saying that there’s loads of quality there in the top division that’s cheap in comparison to the PL with experienced technical players that play for lesser teams just likes Swansea are delving into it.
Hopefully Carr is looking there too.

    Evening gents.

Did we all have a good New year?

  • 68 IITianToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:33 PM

    Marv(one chance surely?)
    Ben Arfa–Cisse–Sammy

Torq was just thinking of you lol, did the Cabella link surprise you?

  • 70 TorqToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:37 PM

    IITian – Evening my friend.

No it didn’t surprise me really. Just because the papers don’t report anything, doesn’t mean it’s pure fabrication.

A very very good player. And a very realistic possibility I’d imagine.

  • 71 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:42 PM

Torq – New Year’s Night was Cabella. New Year’s Day was Heitinga.

  • 72 TorqToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:46 PM

    Sazzer – Heitinga? Surely not!

Never really lived up to his potential I feel.

  • 73 calvinho // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:47 PM

Well I have to admit I was disappointed with the WBA game. We were starting to look jaded against Arsenal (although Arsenal also look tired) and HBA certainly added some energy into our game. I was convinced Pardew would change 2-3 players at least against WBA. Not a huge overhaul of the team with untested youth, but Sissoko, Gouffran, Remy in particular look tired. We have been lucky with injuries this season and therefore have played a consistent team. I don’t think it would have been a huge risk to play HBA, Cisse, Anita, maybe Haidara, even Sammy Ameobi. But to change nothing shows Pardew’s lack of faith in our squad. He will change things against Cardiff and then talk about how certain players needed a rest.

  • 74 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:48 PM

    Evening mate, happy new year!
Well would you believe it, it’s nearly 3 windows late but we’ve finally been linked with that little dynamo Cabella after spending many windows saying this lad is a must buy for us!

Won’t happen purely because Montpellier’s chairman is an absolute crackpot who doesn’t seem that find of us!

  • 75 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:52 PM

Yeah he never got past the Ajax hype.

  • 76 TorqToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:54 PM

Tads – Happy New year to you too, sir.

He is a crackpot mate! Took a dislike to us after we signed yanga which might not go in our favour. He is the type of person to give us one valuation and everybody else, a lower one.

However, saying that, the friendship between him, yanga, sissoko and Gouff is tight. And he wouldn’t need much encouragement to come. If we can reach a reasonable price, I truly believe we could land this lad. And what a coup that would be. :-)

Still need that elusive CB and striker though.

  • 77 Ancientcoptic // Jan 2, 2014 at 9:57 PM

I cannot think of one attacking minded player that Pardew has produced or improved.

You could argue for Ba and Cabaye, but one jumped ship, and the other one is heading the same direction.

There seems to be a common theme of players signing for us, looking shockingly good, then their performances drop off after a few months.

  • 78 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:02 PM

Yup would be an absolutely cracking signing seeing as I’ve given any hope of seeing Siem toon bound!

Yeah still need a CB and a CF, think ideally to suit Pards style someone perhaps in the mario Mandžuki? mould, as for the CB who’s this young fella were apparently interested in from St Ettienne, 17 yr old I think

  • 79 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:05 PM

Bit gutted to Salah possibly heading to the Bindippers, was raving about that lad at the start of the season, was quiet unknown until he went and ripped Chelski a new one!
Still, the other lad from Basel, Schär looks like he will be a brilliant CB, someone is going to get an absolute bargain there

  • 80 TorqToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:07 PM

Nathan Dekoke. But he is more development than ready for the premier league straight away.

    Excellent prospect though.

  • 81 TorqToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:08 PM

Just glad to hear were still trying hard to recruit for the academy, it’s the part of the club that is in the most desperate need of improving, be nice to see some new staff in place too!

As for a CB, tbh i think we need to be looking for a top CB, think it’s the one area you have to bite the bullet and spend out on

  • 88 TorqToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:18 PM

No one is on here saying were after x,y and z, just throwing some ideas around as there’s fcuk all news just enjoy the footy chat mate, there’s zero point trying to guess the workings of Ashley!

  • 91 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:20 PM

I want us to get Adrian Ramos but it looks like going to Stoke.

  • 92 jazzyp // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:21 PM

Have you come across a player by the name of Michy batshuayi by any chance on your travels ??? the next big thing to come out of belguim

  • 93 belgrade fan // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:22 PM

You have some infos about names? Give me names. I personally trust you, dont call you ITK. Transfer sage is one I dont trust a word

  • 94 IITianToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:23 PM

Does anyone else find it funny that Ben Arfa always hits the near post side netting, or the far post.. whenever he shoots.. looks like the lad goes for precision everytime! maybe he should be told that son, just try to keep it between the sticks and make the keeper work, Gouffy and Remy are good shouts to recat to the loose ball first!

  • 95 belgrade fan // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:24 PM

I dont ask if I dont trust. For rest I dont care, they dont need to coment-believe

  • 96 WWSBRD // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:26 PM

Windows open a few days and look who crops up…this place certainly does go to the dogs during the windows

  • 97 TorqToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:26 PM

Jazzy – Batshuayi looks a cracking player. And only young at 19-20 (something like that?). Scoring plenty and would certainly fit the NUFC style of play.

But hearing him linked with Everton and arsenal. So nothing when it comes to NUFC.

  • 98 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:28 PM

We have been link with Michy.

  • 99 belgrade fan // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:29 PM

So, Torq, names? like how this sounds

  • 100 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:30 PM

Is that the lad from Standard Liege?
There’s another lad from JRC Genk, Siebe Schrijvers, who’s pulling a lot of interest from around Europe

  • 101 TorqToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:30 PM

Belgrade – Don’t do names mate. Because in reality nothing is finalised until pen is put to paper and the only people that know that are club insiders.

WWSBRD – That didn’t take long. And for the record, I’ve always been here and haven’t just “cropped up” as you so nicely put it. If you don’t like me, that’s absolutely fine. But don’t make me out to be a WUM whom only appears during January and the summer.

  • 102 TorqToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:33 PM

Belgrade – Let it go mate. I get stick no matter what. If I started spouting names I’d be properly put through the ringer.

As for sage, I like the bloke. My own personal opinion is he brings good debate and discussion to a sometimes volatile and negative blog.

  • 103 belgrade fan // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:33 PM

I know that. Just asked if you know IF you know that we r in talks with somebody. If you wont tell its ok

  • 104 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:33 PM

Aye hits the post or puts it 20 ft over the bloody bar!

  • 105 belgrade fan // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:35 PM

Didnt say like him or not, just said dont trust him when he starts with- my friend who lives with Ashley told me….

  • 106 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:35 PM

So if we can’t talk about signings we’d love to see at the club etc what’s to talk about atm

    Pardew out?

  • 107 TorqToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:36 PM

Belgrade – well I’ve never heard that one! :-)

As we know, Newcastle United in a transfer window – anything can happen.

  • 108 WWSBRD // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:37 PM

I was only joking lad haha I got nothing but love for u…though am still smarting from ur PEA flirting

How u been? U seem to show face even less than me these days

  • 109 belgrade fan // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:37 PM

If y wanna share something send message. My friends NUFC fans always ask me if I know sth

  • 110 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:37 PM

Good luck Kinnear with those names – Siebe Schrijvers and Michy Batshuayi.

  • 111 yo-yo // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:38 PM

    Toon 29 GF
    Manure 33 GF
    Spuds 24 GF
    Toffees 32 GF

If Pardew is that defensive a manager then he is totally failing to keep the goals scored down to a reasonable level like the Spuds…

    There’s facts and there’s opinions…

  • 112 lesh // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:38 PM

Good evening Torq and it’s a relief to see you back – the average IQ’s gone up 5 points!

Charlie in the Gallowgate, funny you mentioned the airport but a good friend of mine has just text to say she’d seen Joe Kinnear get back from France and he was with a few guys, French, she said.

Joe was in a strait jacket!

    Hey ho, here we go

  • 113 TorqToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:39 PM

Tads – Maybe how inept pardew is? How greedy Mike Ashley is? or how sh1t shola is??

Can’t see how that makes a better blog than talking about players we should be looking at?

    But maybe it is? :-)

  • 114 belgrade fan // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:40 PM

not one than a few :))

  • 115 jazzyp // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:40 PM

  • 118 yo-yo // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:42 PM

  • 119 lesh // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:43 PM

Would love to hear them phone calls!

  • 121 TorqToon // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:45 PM

WWSBRD – Well in that case I apologise. :-) I may blame the January blues..! Haha

Yeah I try to get on here when I can, but work and family life is manic just now. Plus dont want to leave myself open to any negativity. You know how it was. :-)

As for PEA – Don’t get me started on that! Haha

  • 122 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 10:45 PM

No chance they want £25 million!

*maybe it’s like when “Little Britain” did their “little Britain USA” tour lol

  • 156 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 11:17 PM

The Sun linked us with Nigel De Jong on loan earlier. It make sense if we want to unsettle Benny and get money for Cabella. But let’s not go down that road.

  • 157 WWSBRD // Jan 2, 2014 at 11:19 PM

Haha it’s not often I pity the US but…

  • 158 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2014 at 11:20 PM

    Upset? A little bit
    Disturbed? Very deeply!

  • 159 Sazzer // Jan 2, 2014 at 11:23 PM

Sportsvibe added the advanced talk part and linked back to Daily mail. So it is still in early stages. Nothing from @GFN_France surprisingly.
