Mike Williamson is our Man of the Match for yesterday’s game at the Hawthorns, when we suffered our second successive 1-0 defeat after Mathieu Debuchy had been sent off after 62 minutes for a two footed challenge, and West Brom won the game with a late penalty – their first win in 11 games – when they beat Crystal Palace 2-0 on November 2nd.
Mike Williamson – having his best season ever at Newcastle
Mike had another steady and stalwart game at the back for Newcastle, and with Coloccini now out injured for maybe over a month, Mike will continue to be an important player for Newcastle.
He has 43% of the vote and he’s followed by Cheick Tiote in second place with 14%, and Cheick will likely take over the Newcastle captaincy in Colo’s absence.
And it’s interesting that Debuchy – who was sent off yesterday and will now miss the next three games – is still third in our poll with 7% of the vote.
