Manager To Take Two Weeks To Decide Future Of This Player

We had thought that Alan Pardew would decide to let midfielder Dan Gosling sign for Blackpool on a full-time basis this month, and with only six months left of his four year contract at Newcastle, we even thought Newcastle would allow the former Everton player to sign on at Blackpool as a free agent.

But maybe with Cabaye being out at the moment, and likely to miss the next two games, Alan Pardew is going to take a couple of weeks to basically decide the future of the 23 year-old, who has appeared only 28 times for Newcastle in the three and a half years he’s been at the club, since signing on as a free agent from Everton in the summer of 2010.

This is what the Newcastle manager had to say about Dan’s situation yesterday:

“We are probably going to sit on that one for a couple of weeks.” “One or two other of the younger ones could well go out.” “We have some good players here and hopefully we can get them some much-needed practice.”

Gosling has already made 14 appearances for Blackpool and scored two goals, and it’s hardly surprising that the Seasiders manager Paul Ince wants to sign the England U21 International on a full-time basis.

The alternative we suppose is that he goes back to Blackpool on loan through the end of the season, and then he becomes a free agent in the summer, and clubs other than Blackpool could be in for him.

And it wouldn’t surprise us too much if Dan makes the 18 man squad today for the game against Cardiff, since he’s been playing regularly for Blackpool for three months, and we’re short of a central midfielder with Yohan out.

What do you think?

If I was pardew I would play a shadow first team:
    Dummett, Taylor, MBiwa, Hiadara
Ben Arfa, Anita, Marvo if fit (Bigirimana), Santon give him a try in midfield
    Jonas, Cisse.

One of the reasons for playing starting this team would be to try and get them up to match fitness as we seem to be loosing a few players through injury and others looked a bit jaded.

and I can’t see Cardiff starting with first eleven

What has happened with Bigi? Good time to unleash him and Dan Gosling.

I like Pardews comment regarding ‘Remy doesn’t belong to us’ so we need a another stirker!

We need to purchase a NEW forward line for us to progress (hope we see that happen this Month)

    We’ll win 3-0 today .. Shame I aint a betting man 🙂

Trouble is if we give him a run out today no clubs can sign him due to him already being registered to 2 clubs this season

Anyone know why Krul is doubtful today? Picked up a knock or a recurrence of his previous injuries?

He took a knock in a collision with Tiote during training, and hurt his shoulder again.

its comments like this from pardew that shows he is totally incompetent,

why does he need a few more weeks? he knows what he can do, or at least he should do,

today I think we will lose , also down to pardews incompetence , instead of mixing it up over the xmas, given a few players a rest, he will make a lot of changes in one match, players in from the cold with no form at all, he might even let ee-or shola lead them out as captain,

this argument about ben afra, why should he defend ???, id rather have him no where near our box, and in the other half of the pitch, where he can defend from the front,

the other thing, goofy or HBA, what does goofy offer ???really, he runs, but his passing is the worst, im talking really poor, he never creates anything,, yet he is our forward, he scores , but he wont get you 10 and create 10, HBA will,

a lot of you are now blinded into pardews style of defensive football, and you have forgot what the game is all about, scoring goals and winning games

Cardiff will be on a high from the new manager, 2-0 to them

Bishopblaize said what I was thinking – whatever became of Bigirimana? He looked a great bet at times last year and seemed a better bet than Gosling but Bigi has been confined to the stiffs this term. Was the positivity of his refusal to go out on loan interpreted as something else by the hierarchy? For a lad seeking to fight for his place, he has fallen clear off the radar.

Maybe I’ve missed something but where actually is Marveaux? Any explanation as to why he isn’t playing?
Squidward getting a sniff in the first team just sickens me.

Mmm., I knew there’s been something missing from the blog over the past couple of weeks when comments have generally been mire positive and optimistic.

We’ll be back to normal soon, the neggars are starting to surface after their Christmas seclusion – welcome back Catchy, is it appropriate to wish you a happy new year?

Shot Bru, win the FA Cup and we qualify for the Europa League. There’s no hiding from it!

    Here we go.

Cabaye’s injured and will be for a little while. We’re therefore short plus he’s on his bike soon. So other clubs’d buy in anticipation of the inevitable before injuries begin to mount up.

Oh no, not Newcastle United though.

Doubtless for Ashley’s benefit, Kinnear’ll be asking Pardew to show that he’s tried all options with current players before even thinking about spending on players!

Fine, so Gosling gets injured, Cabaye’s recovery takes a setback plus Remy gets hurt, and then the window slams shut!

Where are we? Up the creek and hurtling down the table -again.

Will these short-sighted tight bustards ever learn?
