Alan Pardew Could Be In Hot Water After Foul Mouthed Rant

5:19 pm, Sunday, January 12th, 2014 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 117 Comments

Just before half time and after a wonderful goal from Cheick Tiote had been chalked off by referee Mike Jones, and only he know why he didn’t allow the goal – Alan Pardew had a heated  argument with City manager Manuel Pellegrini, and Alan could be in trouble with the FA because of the language he used.

alan pardew angry

Alan Pardew – could be in trouble with FA

Here is the video of the goal and you decide if Yoan Gouffran is interfering with the play, even though he is in an offside position.

The Newcastle manager was seen (if not heard) on camera shouting ‘f****** old c***’ at the Chilean manager, after the Tiote goal was chalked off.

But after the game the Newcastle manager did the right thing and he apologized for his outburst:

“I apologize for that – he had words with me first.” ‘It was normal words for managers to have which go unseen most of the time.”  “We’re fine, I shook his hand at the end and I’ll see him before he goes.”

The FA can look at the video and take some action against Pardew –  but before they do – they need to watch Tiote’s perfectly good goal being disallowed by referee Mike Jones – and give Alan some slack.

The very last thing we want is a touch-line ban for the Newcastle manager, with the next three games against teams in the bottom six in  the league table, and hopefully we can get back on the winning track after losing four games on the trot.

Comments welcome.

“The Newcastle manager was seen (if not heard) on camera shouting ‘f****** old c***’ at the Chilean manager…”

Nearly spewed coffee all over my monitor there!

racist, sexist, nationalistic and petulance with just a few words. way to go pards.

  • 4 mattyNUFC // Jan 12, 2014 at 5:22 PM

oops, sorry, thought he said “old chilean ***” well, at least he’s still managed to come off like amateur he is

  • 5 89Norcal // Jan 12, 2014 at 5:23 PM

Let me make it easy on all of you and explain the FA’s disciplinary policy.

Game-breaking referee decision = no action taken

Insulting a referee = multi-game touchline ban and massive fine.

  • 6 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 12, 2014 at 5:23 PM

Credit to the midfield today they have been fantastic, solid display, Tiote fully deserved MOTM and his goal, Cabaye played with fire as did Anita
Credit to the back four who after a shaky 15 were fantastic

But, our attack, poor today, really poor, Sissoko, Gouffran, Remy were poor, Cisse came on and didn’t even touch the ball in 20 minutes, the first touch and finishing of some these lads in attack is truly woeful

All the heart passion and fight on display was brilliant and yes we were robbed by a shocking decision but we had 60 minutes when we were the dominant team today and just like vs Arsenal we were limp upfront, investment in some width and a CF is an absolute must imho

  • 7 mag // Jan 12, 2014 at 5:23 PM

at least he can see Anita is crap!!!

  • 8 NUFCarter // Jan 12, 2014 at 5:23 PM

Its disgusting how a manager can rightfully have a go at a referee for making a poor decision that effects the club greatly and get fined for it

    mag, seriously

what aren’t you getting? are you that slow? I’ll posit this again:

You think anita’s crap. yes, we get it. BUT (follow me here) do you really think Cisse stood a better chance of creating something (since he replaced him and you said since he was substituted it showed that he was crap)

Aye good to know we pushed them but counts for nout at the end of the season when you roll over for the WHU’s WBA’s and Mackems of the league
Just be nice to see someone in the team with that killer instinct
Think Goof showed the last few games why we don’t use him as an out and out CF, very reluctant in the box and for some reason very reluctant to challenge ariely

  • 23 NUFCarter // Jan 12, 2014 at 5:31 PM

It looks as though we could be battling Southampton for 8th place. To be fair i would have taken 8th at the start of the season. But if we were consistent this season we should be battling for top 5. So its gutting that we aren’t. Even more so that we are out of both the cups

  • 24 mag // Jan 12, 2014 at 5:33 PM

mattyNUFC Cisse is a striker and Anita is not now repeat

  • 25 89Norcal // Jan 12, 2014 at 5:33 PM

    tads
Yeah there’s a few times where I could see Gouffran being usable up front for the sake of having Remy’s talent on the wing, but certainly not against the likes of Demichelis and Kompany.

And yes dropping points against the likes of scum and WBA makes these results much harder to take.

  • 26 NUFCarter // Jan 12, 2014 at 5:34 PM

  • 48 jimmysmith // Jan 12, 2014 at 5:45 PM

That reminds me of when I did a bit of refing. If you booked someone for foul and abusive language you had to put it in the the report verbatim.

Like, Wilson, Thistles number 9 came in late from behind in 39 th minute and responded to the subsequent free kick with. “F@ck of ref, you are right f@cken rotter you cun@! you know sh@t, ya f@cken twat…………, you’ve got ya head so far up ya f@cken arse ya can’t see ya self, ya f@cken……….”

And if you sent someone off, and they appealed, you’d have to stand up in front of a panel and their lot and read it out loud, as said, the whole blue streak, and sometimes they’d be like, ” yeah I said all that, but he is is a right plonker, it was never a ………”and on it would go, in a similar vein.

Worst display of reffing for an awful long time, he almost lost his grip entirely first half. Shame he decided to let Citeh’s rough approach go so long and he wouldnt have had to flash the yellow so much.

Iffy early moments from Santon, Mbiwa and Saylor but they all pulled it together in a match we should at least have had a point out of. I like the way the commentary said that Man C. were on top for the first half then the 50% possession stats came up on the screen! I hope that snake Nasri is injured sufficiently to miss the world cup, a big favour to his French team mates considering what he did in the last one.

Good all round never say die performance today but no good breaks for us, even a rebound on Kruls save to make things really hard to take.

can’t believe people are having a go at some of the players and pardew. Thought it was an immense performance and we were desperately unlucky not top get a point. We showed some great football passing and touches at time, it wasn’t just a fighting display.
As for the referee – well, I don’t want a touchline ban from Ed! Nobody touched the ball, nobody unsighted Hart (the whinge!) and our players were running away from goal when Tiote hit the screamer – (i was sitting right behind it – what a shot!) Ridiculous decision!
PS Loved the chant at Joe Hart in the second half (tune “Go West”) – ” You’re s**t, and you’ve got dandruff!

  • 75 Jail for Ashley // Jan 12, 2014 at 6:00 PM

I was at the game today and we definitely deserved a point, I think STaylor had a good game and even could have scored a couple.
Remy looks like a man who knows he’s going to jail for a long time and Cisse is just shot, bring Anita off for him was just subbing for the sake of subbing and just highlights how few options we have upfront.
I read Medie Joe’s programme notes and I actually think he wrote these ones, now that the squad has strdngth in depth ? we only need one or two players a calendar year(not window) and that any players we’re linked with not in their early to mid twenties is just poor journalism, he also said there’s a chance we won’t buy anybody.

  • 76 welshgeordie9 // Jan 12, 2014 at 6:00 PM

Supporting newcastle and the swans is enough to give anybody a heart attack

  • 77 jasper // Jan 12, 2014 at 6:00 PM

We played well today and should have had at least a point.
BUT we have to learn and improve. To wit: we were winning the midfield battle with Tiote, Anita and Cabs. What we were not doing was get behind the city defense. We had to score and it was obvious long before the subs came on that Hairada should be given a run at Zabeleta and that HBA at Kolorov, with H replacing either Santon or Mbiwa and HBA Gouff/Sissoko.
But what does Pardew do? Takes off Anita and immediately concedes the midfield battle. Quite predictably Cisse hardly touched the ball. He then delays the other moves until 81mins! In the little time available both H and HBA looked effective but it was much too late.
I can only conclude that AP is incapable of learning how to read the game. I cannot recall any occasion upon which he has made an unforced substitution effectively or in a timely manner.

  • 78 jimiley // Jan 12, 2014 at 6:01 PM

The difference between NUFC and Liverpool can be summed up in one player.
    SUAREZ.
They double his wages to 200K a week to keep him and build a team around him.
I wonder what our fat bandit would do with him if we had him. Double his wages or sell him? Difficult one that. Liverpool are trying to win things – even the league- but we are trying to win nowt and will succeed. Thanks Ashers for taking out hope away.

Come on…all the negativity here, what’s the point when we’ve got to live with it?

As far as I can see, Ashley has made this appointment for 2 reasons:
1 – Pardews’s assessment of the first team squad was wrong last summer, the youth and fringe players were just not good enough
2 – Llambias is not a football guy and has struggled to get players over the line. Leave him to do what he knows and run the business side

    So…
    – Ashley sets the framework that the club is run within as a business
    – Llambias works on a day to day basis to do this and sets the budgets for wages and transfers
    - Pardew and Kinnear identify weaknesses in the squad
    - Carr identifies potential targets
    - Kinnear pursues these targets and negotiates to buy them
    - Pardew coaches the players to hoof the ball into the opposition’s box…!

Only kidding with that last one! Seriously, it could work…couldn’t it?

Whoa hang on a minute so anyone who holds a view that you percueve as negative is ignorant and a muppet?
Why because they don’t agree with you?

    mattyNUFC

What’s your point with trawling up a post by me in June?

    Are you stalking me???

  • 107 mattyNUFC // Jan 12, 2014 at 6:20 PM

    and luke.r

TDS just insulted everyone he didn’t agree with by calling them all muppets.

    respect, dignity indeed.

Eh? What are you referring to?

  • 109 jimiley // Jan 12, 2014 at 6:23 PM

    89 Norcal,

I am not proposing building a team around REMI. He is not worth 150K a week. Maybe 50K. But I would willingly pay 200K to have Suarez in black and white. World class. Up there with Messi and Ronaldo and Ban Arfa. Remi is in a different league. A lower one.

    haha no problem mate!

    MattyNUFC
the point of the blog is for us newcastle fans to come together and talk about the team that we all have the same love for

obviously we’re not all gonna agree on everything,, i just don’t see why people have to be so immature about it as it just ruins the blog… Debates are great and makes it a lot more interesting but in the end with some people it comes down to petty name calling and trying to show they are more ‘superior’ to other people who disagree with them

Has anyone seen Vlad Chiriches’ goal against Fulham?

Disgrace PL referees all of them

no, i’m just super hungover from last night and can’t conjure the will to get out of bed and, seeing as i don’t post on here that often, hardly ever, reminding myself and others that your emergence only came with Kinnears appointment in his current role perhaps gives standing to conspiratorial notions that you are in fact employed by the club……

in all honesty i’m just trying to give you a hard time because you’re overtly pompous and, although i don’t always post, i do read the comments when time allows and you are always starting an argument with someone and trying to come out of it vindicated, though no doubt each time you stoop as low as those you ridicule for doing so

  • 113 manxpie // Jan 12, 2014 at 6:25 PM

norcal yeah he called me out for knowing nothing about football when i said we’re playing much better (which coincided with the turn in the game i might add!?)
he really does boil my piss lol
same with rotonda who is the the absolute fickle fan!!
and he keeps on reminding us how he’s been there for 50 years!
makes me wonder if he was calling for sir bobby tbh !!!!?

  • 114 bills-son // Jan 12, 2014 at 6:27 PM

I thought it was a tremendous fighting gutsy team performance today. Unfortunately since Remy has gone off the boil we don’t have a real threat in the box and that is what cost us a point at least. We desperately need a ST this window.

    Disallowed goal was a joke.

I thought Willo was abs magnificent today and Tiote put in a hell of performance.

Yeah…I’m an Ashley plant…Ashley who doesn’t care what the fans think, sends someone on a NUFC blog to counteract the ignorant negative views of a few dozen muppets…

Just because people don’t agree with the same points doesn’t make them ignorant, if anything it’s exactly how you come across, telling others how to post and not to throw insults when you do the exact same

Talk about the game or just shut the fcuk up because it’s boring as hell reading a small group which your very much included in talking pot shots at each other rather than talking toon

  • 116 luke.r // Jan 12, 2014 at 6:30 PM

    bills-son
completely agree with what you said about willo, i was suprised he didnt get man of the match, he won everything in the air and was a constant threat when we had free kicks.

i think that disallowed goal is going to haunt me forever

  • 117 Roger // Jan 13, 2014 at 9:44 AM

What happens on sunday. A better team lost a game
against Man City. Man City is good for 10 minutes
from 97 minutes an win 2 to 0.
The ref and his linesman are really a..holes.
Everybody can see, that Hart can necer reach this
shot, and everbody can see, that Gouf go away from
    that ball.
So the game is 1 to 1 at the halftime.
But what happend in the second half, again NUFC
is the better team, and if Remy is able to make the goal
    we lead 2 to 1.
The only thing i cannot understand why Pardew change
the team so late. Cisse is out for me, send them home
to africa, or let them play in the second team, but
    never in the prem.
We need 2 or 3 strikers at once.
Now we have to win against West Ham on next
weekend and in the middle of the week in Norwich
and then at home aginst the Mackems.
