Newcastle Unchanged For West Ham Test

west-ham-united-crestnufc emblem

As expected Alan Pardew has named an unchanged side from the team that played so well against Manchester City last week, and were unlucky to lose that game 2-0.

In Coloccini’s absence through injury, Cheick Tiote will again captain the side, and Shola Ameobi returns to the subs bench for today’s game.

Andy Carroll, the former Newcastle striker, starts this game on the bench for West Ham.

This is a game Newcastle can win and if we play at or near our best we can even leave Upton Park with all 3 points today – that’s what we’re hoping for.

Howay The Lads!!

West Ham: Adrian, Matt Jarvis, Razvan Rat, Jack Collison, Matthew Taylor, Mark Noble (c), James Collins, Mohamed Diame, Stewart Downing, Carlton Cole, Roger Johnson.
Subs: Jussi Jaaskelainen, Andy Carroll, Modibo Maiga, Ravel Morrison, Alou Diarra, Joe Cole, Leo Chambers

Newcastle: Tim Krul; Davide Santon, Mike Williamson, Steven Taylor, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa; Cheick Tiote (c), Vurnon Anita, Yohan Cabaye; Moussa Sissoko, Loic Remy, Yoan Gouffran.
Subs: Rob Elliot, Massadio Haidara, Paul Dummett, Gabriel Obertan, Hatem Ben Arfa, Shola Ameobi, Papiss Cisse.

If we paid £9 mill for Cisse why is it not believable that we will pay £12 mill for Cabella.
We all know Cabs is gone in the summer if not before so get the replacements in now I say

I dont see the point in this. Ok this team played well v citeh, but i think a more attacking side agains a strugglind team would jave been better.

Really hope these Cabella stories are true. Just waiting for the club to deny these reports lol.

saylor did admirably well against city but he is not as compatible with williamson as mbiwa.

had he been played as a centre back, it wouldve been impossible to displace the mbiwa-williamson partnership.

its obvious pardumb is playing mbiwa at right back so he can ease him out for debuchy without much of an outcry from the fans.

if it was good enough to draw – technically against citeh then it should be more than enough against west ham – in theory haha

West Ham: Adrian, Jarvis, Rat, Collison, Taylor, Noble (c), Collins, Diame, Downing, C.Cole, Johnson

It does not look like big Sam is playing for a draw. Santon will have his work cut out dealing with Downing.

If we play with urgency, we ‘should’ win this.

Ben Arfa should start that one, he s losing his confidence, put him behind the strikers and he will do a lot of damage. What a waste, hes. No sub material, he must play.
