Sammy Ameobi And Ben Arfa Start At Norwich

Both Sammy Ameobi and Hatem Ben Arfa are included in the starting line-up at Norwich City tonight.

Sammy Ameobi – gets start at Norwich
Newcastle will line up in a 4-3-3 formation with Ben Arfa, Remy and Sammy Ameobi the front three, and there’s no Yoan Gouffran in the squad – so we assume he’s injured.

And 16 year-old top prospect Adam Armstrong make the bench for Newcastle tonight, with Dan Gosling also one of the subs.

And as expected Mathieu Debuchy comes straight back into the side at right back, after serving a three match suspension for being sent of at West Brom – for which he also received a hefty fine from the club.

For Norwich, former Newcastle center-back Sebastien Bassong captains Norwich and former striker target Ricky Van Wolfswinkel is up front for the Canaries.

Teams:

Norwich City (4-4-2): John Ruddy; Russell Martin, Ryan Bennett, Sebastien Bassong (c), Martin Olsson; Robert Snodgrass, Leory Fer, Bradley Johnson, Anthony Pilkington; Ricky Van Wolfswinkel, Gary Hooper
Substitutes: Mark Bunn, Steven Whittaker, Javier Garrido, Alexander Tettey, Nathan Redmond, Johan Elmander, Luciano Becchio

Newcastle (4-3-3): Tim Krul; Mathieu Debuchy, Mike Williamson, Steven Taylor, Davide Santon; Vurnon Anita, Cheick Tiote (c), Moussa Sissoko; Hatem Ben Arfa, Loic Remy, Sammy Ameobi
Substitutes: Rob Elliot, Massadio Haidara, Paul Dummett, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Dan Gosling, Shola Ameobi, Adam Armstrong

Referee: Chris Foy (Lancashire)

Sammy is the replacement for Cabaye. It’s all so obvious.

No Marveaux – our best attacking midfielder other than cabaye. Why is Yanga Mbiwa on the bench? Pardumb’s legendary stupidity strikes again.

    Hmm….interesting line-up. I like.

I wonder if Benny is playing in the middle as a CAM or RW.

I like the idea of Ben Arfa – Sissoko – Sammy as well.

    We should win this.

Sammi needs to make sure he stays focussed, follows his man and plays for the full 90 mins. He does tend to drift out of games, head drops and can be clumsy…… (Remind you of anyone)

But he can easily beat a couple of players and hopefully he will set up better positioned teammates rather than shooting wildly.

Come on Sammi, big game !

I will go for 2-1 Toon (Remy and Ben Arfa)

4-3-3 according to official site sammy/remy/arfa up front

and sissoko was awsome in the middle for his last team so personally i think it best we play him there now with anita.

Sammy in the starting 11, ffs, this is what Pardew has to deal with due to Ashley, we sell 1 decent player and then have 1 or 2 injuries and we resort to Sammy who was pi$$ poor in the Championship for Boro, yet you still get dimwits who claim that Ashley is slowly but surely guiding us to the Champions league, ffs will you half wits please wake up, Sammy Ameobi to replace Cabaye ffs that just sums up Mike Ashley perfectly.

A huge chance for sammy tonight. He’s played well every time he’s played this season.

I know it’s foolish to underestimate any premiership team but surely that team beats Norwich player for player easy.

Come on lads, I sense a win. 3-1 to us, HBA, remy and Taylor!!!!

Anybody think a cheeky bid of 6/8mill for Hernandez would be worth it? Proven goal scorer in the prem and obviously frustrated at not playing as much as he’d like?

Can we all just take a step back and wait until they have actually played the game before you all start bringing the pain?.If Sammy has a good game your going to look like twats, and no-one likes that.

    Cisse is gone…i’m pretty sure.

Really strange with Marveux though. I understand him not getting in the team at the moment, but surely in this case he should be ahead of Dummet and Armstrong on the bench.

He must have pissed Pardew of bad.

Mark my words, if we lose this game it will be Saylors fault.

Lets look at the sub bench:

Substitutes: Rob Elliot, Massadio Haidara, Paul Dummett, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Dan Gosling, Shola Ameobi, Adam Armstrong

    Rob Elliot- Normal backup GK
    Massadio Haidara- Normal First team/rotation
Paul dummet- What is he doing on the bench, we have Haidara that can already cover LB. This should be a new signings place.
Mbiwa- Do I need to say more? hes getting dropped for playing well and Saylor gets his place…
Dan Gosling- Only a few weeks back he was set to be sold to blackpool and his future was confirmed over by Pardew, but we was forced to come back to this flop?
Shola Ameobi- Been eating wages for as long as my grandmother was born, hes contract is up this season, does not deserve to be on the bench.
Adam Armstrong- I cannot blame this young kid, he is being rushed to first team cause of our lack of players.

There you go, look at that mess.

Anger is an acid that will do more harm to the vessel in which it is carried than to anything on to which it is poured.

    Chill.

    Have some tea.

    Have a beer.

    Watch the match.

    Then discuss.

Not a bad line up, actually. Every squad in the league will be stretch at some point. I have confidence in the players coming in to step up. One of Pardews’ strengths is being able to coax good performances from fringe players.

    Howay the lads.

I kinda like that line up. It says on the official site it’s a “4-3-3 formation” with “Up top, Hatem Ben Arfa and Sammy Ameobi will be either side of 11-goal leading scorer Loic Remy”. Not bad at all imo, looks promising and Anita seems to have taken over Cabaye’s position. Gouffran is injured and young Campbell is on the bench, we might be able to see what he’s made of in the EPL.

It will be interesting to see who plays the Captain’s role now 😉

He better not play Sissoko as a withdrawn striker cause he sucks in that role.

Anita in that role is a poor man’s poor man’s cabaye. He doesnt have the creativity needed . This could be a painful match to watch

Our bench is really shocking we only have Shola as a game changer not acceptable for a premiership team

Saying that we need our youngsters to start delivering when we get a chance because its the only way we can get success under Ashley as he will never give us 24 purples so the youngsters have to really deliver good chance for Sammy also Arfa has to really deliver the pressures on lets see if has the mentality

FFS folks Gouffran is injured and Cisse is injured and we’re playing 4-3-3, check before you talk out your arses.

What surprises me is that Mbiwa is on the bench and that Gosling is ahead of Marveaux for a spot on the bench.
