Newcastle Lose 4-0 – Fifth Home Defeat In A Row

Newcastle were again second best tonight at St. James’ Park and conceded three poor goals, and then Spurs scored a terrific late fourth goal. Tottenham didn;t have to work too hard to easily win this game,  and that was our third defeat in a row, and we’ve conceded 10 goals and not scored in thiose last three league games – and it’s our fifth league defeat in a row. in all competitions.

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Newcastle United v Tottenham Hotspur - St James' Park

Steven Taylor blocks a shot form Paulinho

A first half goal from Adebeyor after 19 minutes put Tottenham ahead after Krul could only block a cross, and then Tim again could only block a shot from Adebayor after 52 minutes and Paulinho hit the ball home.

And then to make things worse after 81 minutes Tim Krul blocked a shot from Andros Townsemnd, but Adebayor put the ball into the back of the net.

And then after 88 minutes just to rub it in – substitute Nacer Chadli scored with a terrific shot from outside the penalty area, and it even took a great save by Tim Krul from Andros Townsend in stoppage time to prevent it being 5-0.

And it’s the fifth home defeat in a row in all competitions since we beat a 9 man Stoke side 5-1, we’ve lost all our games at home since then – so much for St. James’ Park as a fortress.

And add in a defeat by second bottom Cardiff City in the FA Cup and it doesn’t look good – and we’ve taken only 4 points from a possible 24 points in the league.

Newcastle tried hard – no doubt about that – but we simply were not good enough and the defense was again too porous.

We’re just glad we only have 3 points to get fto safety – we hope.

But Newcastle are now in free fall and selling Yohan Cabaye didn’t help at all – but the players seemed dispirited and jaded at the end of the game.

Newcastle are in trouble, and we just hope we can start turning things around against Aston Villa.

Let us know who you think our best player was tonight.

Gotta feel this is a good time to sack Pardew. It won’t happen but it gives a new manager some real time to start implementing new ideas and getting to know the players.

    Pardew out ashley out

pardew has lost the dressing room, its quite clear that most of the players just don’t care, why be at a club that has no ambition.
Let alone our coaches can’t get the best out of our players i.e. benny sissoko marveaux cisse

We need fresh start in the summer, new owner, new manager, new players

How can Pardew still stay? I mean, there is a limit to anyone. He sees that it is going nowhere.

Yet despite all of this there will still be 48 000 on the next home game.

The fans are killing nufc as much as Ashley and Pardew.

rake, I do feel that it may be time now for a managerial change. He has not had it the easiest but, you can’t lose that many games that convincingly (without scoring) and have any credibility.

Excuses wear thin at this point

Goodbye pardew – you seem a decent enough bloke but your record over last 7 games is indefensible – if you had any self respect you would resign although I doubt you have or will so we’re sadly reliant on the fat financial controller to put you out of our misery – which sadly he won’t

Well that was gut wrenchingly bad. An entire game of no organisation, commitment or ability tonight. Something has to change and if it’s not going to be Pardew then it might as well be starting the entire reserve team. They can’t do any worse!

For Gods sake Pardew has to go now surely????

He has broken every cr@p record in the book

Why oh why oh why does he insist on playing Taylor and Williamson????

Mbiwa and Williamson have had the best central defensive partnership this season and as soon as Collo came back he broke it up and now Taylor’s back he gets straight into the team.

This manager is THE worst I have seen in all the years I’ve been supporting them…..I’d take Aladyce, Souness, Daglish, Jack Charlton anybody over this joker.

I don’t care who we get I just can’t stand to watch another interview with his slobbery bottom lip blaming everything but himself

I still think the team that started was decent, i was happy with selection and we did play quite well, made some decent chances but our defending was non existent and Krul was very poor, should be knocking the ball further away, not good enough.

Towards the last 30 mins though we just gave up and rolled over, was awful to watch.

I don’t think Pardew is the worst manager around but no matter how well we are doing under him there seems to be a period like this every year where the wheels totally come off.

Blame the masochistic losers that turn up every match, because they pathetically cannot find something else to do. MA reaps what he sows, the fans reap what they sow. A vicious circle if ever there was one.

This was just sad. Outplayed, outfought, and downright given a lesson in simple pass-and-move football. I`ve never rated this seasons Spurs side, but today they looked like they were playing a practice match against their u21 side. That`s how completely underwhelming our performance was. No game plan whatsoever, players looking lost.

The sad thing is that who will turn this around? Remy? No, he just finishes the chances off. Tiote? Nope. It`s easy to say silly things just after a defeat. But when a defeat is so total as it was today, I just can`t hold it back; we need a change. With todays Newcastle we`ll just repeat the same “almost a top team – sell our best player(s) – crap team again”-cycle over and over again. It`s something no Newcastle fan should have to suffer.

Pardew out – For being totally inept tactically, unable to develop both individual players and the team as a whole.

Ashley out – For making us the feeder club that we are.

I’ve always been 50/50 on Pardew but im finding it very difficult to see reasons not to make a change. We’re going to have to make a lot of changes in the summer with players so may as well start with the manager now and give the new one a chance to see whats what. However I think we all know this wont happen the only time Pardew will get sacked is if we have another season like last year.

We had 6 internationals out there and Ben Arfa and MYM on the bench.

Can’t keep blaming everything but Pardew

In the name of god just go now Pardew. No cohesion, no fluidity, no tactics, quite frankly the most clueless joke of a manager I’ve ever seen. Like last season players aren’t playing for him any more.

Lost 7 out of the last 9 with only 4 goals scored inc v Cardiff, Sunderland and WBA – hardly giants!!and Cabaye played in 5 of those.

No more excuses, just a totally s–t manager.
