Loic Remy Is In A Good Place At Newcastle

Alan Pardew talked a little about Loic Remy, and said that Newcastle has missed the goalscorer over the last three games, all of which we have lost by at least three goals. 🙁

Loic Remy – in a good place

And since the 4-0 debacle against Tottenham at home there has been good news for Loic Remy, because a couple of days later he was cleared of rape, along with two other men – and that charge has been hanging over his head since last May.

And certainly in his interviews this week Loic has seemed upbeat and has told Newcastle fans he will do all he can for the team in the final 12 games of the season, starting against Aston Villa tomorrow.

And this is what Alan Pardew said about the player yesterday:

“We have some players who are in decent places right now to be honest, particularly Loic, who has had the pressure of the court case removed from him.”

“He’s done remarkably well in the first part of the season to have that hanging in the background on him and his family.” “To have that removed, I see a real lease of life in him.”

Loic already has 11 goals in 22 games this season, and has been one of the stars of the Premier League, and it would be great if he would sign permanently for the Tyneside club.

But with Arsenal said to be interested, and other top clubs watching his progress this season, the chances are not good that we can sign him.

But we’ve been wrong before.

What do you think?

There’s something wrong about being knocked out of the cup and rewarded with a holiday in Dubai, followed by an easier training schedule with cup weekends off.

There’s something wrong with this club at all levels.

    Don’t support Ashley.
    Send your season tickets back.
It’s the only way we’ll get rid of him.
    Stop going to SJP.

Remy has only one interest, self interest.
He is using his time with us to put himself in the shop window. His priority is to be seen to score goals, to the exclusion of anything else. So if given the faintest chance of a goal he will scoot rather than pass to an open colleague.
He fancies that he will get an offer well over our wage structure and be gone.
However I suspect that Arsenel and others may have sussed him out and may not be as keen as he hopes. So he could end up staying. Nevertheless I am very leery of him, another Keiron Dyer I suspect.

Remy is with us for the time being !

The loan is seasons long, don,t forget, after the last match! Sure as eggs are eggs, he will be gone?

Jasper, @3: do you mean “Weary of him”?

At the end of the day, the players have to look at their own interests first, this is logical. After all Remy already showed his true colours when he went to Loftus Road just before his Medical for us in London!

We need to get back to winning ways tomorrow for sure, but with Remy and Debuchy back, also Collo we will have a chance! Depending of course on Pardews tactics and the Ref!

OED definition of leery: cautious or wary due to realistic suspicions:

    E.g. I don’t trust him an inch
