Loic Remy – I’m Very Happy – I Trust I Can Score Goals

Newcastle won at the death today at St. James’ Park with a Loic Remy winner in injury and it came only a couple of minutes after he had hit the post with another good effort.

Loic Remy – hits the ball home with his left foot in 92nd minute

This is what Loic Remy had to say to Sky Sports immediately after the game this afternoon:

“We are very relieved tonight because I think the last few games have been difficult for us.”  “We’ve lost some important players like Cabaye and we’ve got so many injured as well so for us it was important to win today because all the confidence is good to win.”

“We’ve lost some important players like Cabaye and we’ve got so many injured as well so for us it was important to win today because all the confidence is good to win.” “Even at home, the fans are expecting a lot from us so now we are very happy and I think the team has found a good spirit which is good for the end of the season.”

“I was very hungry because I missed three games and had to leave my team-mates,” “For me I was very concentrated to the maximum and I wanted to score as a striker.”  “That’s why I’m very happy. I missed some good opportunities and before the next game I will look at this.”

“I never feel my chance has gone. I always want to score or give assists and for me until the game is finished I trust I can score. That’s what happened this afternoon,”

Remy also graciously dedicated his goal and the win to Newcastle’s assistant manager John Carver, whose father unfortunately passed away this week.

Remy is not only an excellent player and a very good team player, but he also seems such a great lad.

If only we can get this striker signed on a permanent deal at Newcastle – miracles can happen, can’t they?

    reminds me of something.
ah now i remember, it’s just stupid bollocks being said by the person as he doesn’t want to blame himself for the stupid decisions he makes.

just admit it you make stupid decisions

the only thing anyone can be happy with , is 3 points,

the fact that willianson and colo are in the top 3 for MOM says it all
remy is only there because he scored

the game was probably the poorest game i have watched us play in a long long time, and the law of averages says we will score at some point,

i carnt figure out how why both colo and williamson are getting such high marks, they were both murdered by bentek, we were lucky the guy got very little support and made it very easy for them both

sissoko is a headless chicken, while i thnk he can be a good player, totally wasted out on the right, anything good that comes from that side is debuchy

villa where the poorest team i have seen this season. i think you could tell he went to the pardew school of football

fluke win, dont worry normal pardew service will resume soon

Three points in the bag – good. However from a footballing spectacle point of view the game was probably as poor as it gets in the Premier League. Imagine being served up that standard of play week after week, month after month. The standard would acquire points from teams of similar standards – but against the better teams we would not be so fortunate.
Major changes needed in the summer.

Catchy you are so negative ALWAYS. Willo was awesome today, as was Colo, benteke might of won a few headers but they were pointless headers and more often than not colo swept up.

can’t you see, catchy knows saylor didn’t start today and mbiwa is a short CB. so he is trying his best to come up with excuses that make the saylor to the bench a stupid decision. he was getting very excited but then when he saw that goal he knew it would be nightmare.

Catchy @4 – you have just proved to the whole blog how little you know about football. Yes it wasn’t the greatest football match but the players & crowd were very nervous. We were much improved second half and Aston Villa were actually quite decent and broke with breakneck speed. Wlliamson was man of the match because he had Benteke in his pocket and hardly gave him a sniff.

LGFUAD21 from a couple of posts back

    Fully agree
The first 45 mins there was a very panicked anxious atmosphere on the pitch and in the stands
There was no cohesion on the pitch, it was just kick and rush football, the team looked so desperate to make something happen, as you said it was just impatient

The turning point was when Willo made that interception, played a simple ball, the rest of the team seemed to just calm down a bit, pass it around and actually look for openings rather than force them

its not about how many shots the guy got in, his job is win the first header, its the support he did not get that helped them both out

but listen, normal service will resume next week, hull will batter us,

but then i guess we will chalk it down to bad refs or the moon catching fire

ohh and your stat about sissoko, chances created, 3rd highest in the league,
yeh right, he is fifth, the real stat you should read is the fact that clear cut chances from sissoko is 4 from the whole season, and before this match that worked out at 1 chance every 559.5 minutes,
these are not my stats, i got them from the same site you probably got yours from, EPL index

    what a waste

Norwich just played a blinder vs spuds which was good to see as that will lift a bit of pressure off hughton. Just shows what ya can do when u pass the ball and build up by finding gaps and moving into space off the ball.

Catchy – I’m sorry but when you are actually at the match you see a lot more than watching on a dodgy stream. Benteke did NOT beast our defence we dealt with him pretty well – the biggest threat Agbonlahor with his speed but we always struggle against pace.
