Loic Remy Winner In Injury Time – Video

Here is Loic Remy’s fabulous winner for Newcastle in injury time after both sides had missed a number of good opportunities.

Alan Pardew and coaches celebrate dramatic winning goal

Newcastle had only 4 points from their seven league games in 2014 before today – so we almost doubled our points total, and we are now on 40 points after 27 games, and are in 8th place in the league, one point above Southampton.

And we are probably safe from relegation now.

Pardew just does enough to save himself time and again. He has more lives than the proverbial cat. Two crap teams who will be fighting relegation next season. If Villa do not go down this season. Dross.

the atmosphere is another thing that ashley has been partly to blame for because i think he decided to split the singing section of the stadium apart as fans were constantly singing- U fat co < Kney baztard get out of our club.

Yup the game was very very quiet but then again there was not much to cheer about. It did come alive after that brilliant Willo interception when the game opened up a bit.

It’s such a shame we will lose out on Remy as his goals to game ratio for us is superb, and once again saved our bacon.

I like the looks of De Jong as well and I would play him ahead of the woeful Cisse. What a glaring miss he made yet again 🙁

Where in the hell is that beast of a goal machine we had 2 years ago? He’s getting worse than Torres.

Well that was hardly a trilling all action performance but regardless there was still an improvement today, sadly just not going forward!

The defence was much improved to do and done well to snuff out Villa’s attacks when they built up some momentum

Debuchy was an absolute monster today, bossed the right of the pitch, put some great crosses in, played some beautiful balls up the line for Remy/Sissoko, ran hard all game, blocked crosses made clearances, fantastic game from him, especially he scissored Kung fu kick clearance! My MOTM

Willo solid display today cleared up everything played well won some big headers at both ends of the pitch

Colo played well bought back some much needed discipline to the back line got forward well tried to keep possession than simply hoof and get rid like Taylor does

Dummett, can’t understand the stick the lad got, came into a team short of confidence, to be part of a back line that conceded 10 in the last 3 games in a dead atmosphere where the justifiably frustrated crowd were groaning every mistake, rusty first half but grew into the second and played very well

Tiote bossed it, proper Tiote display

Anita, woeful first half but brilliant for the last half an hour, needs to find a way to play that way for the full 90

Goofy man have we missed this lad, battled all game was always in and around the box looking to get on any half chance played really well, and that run back when Gabby was on his bike, wow

Sissoko very hit and miss today needs to look up more to see what’s happening around him, could be a great player but needs to improve his intelligence on the pitch

Remy and Cisse both played well in patches but we’re trying way too hard
Looked to eager to get shots off all game, both missed absolute sitters and desperately need to sharpen up in front of goal

Gosling thought he played well tbh wouldn’t mind see a bit more of him as he looks to drive forward a bit more than Anita or Tiote

De Jong very impressed with this lad today, came on didn’t hide pressured from the front created a couple of chances for Remy held the ball well, hopefully he can find his shooting boots

All in all it was not a great performance but it was good to see us play with a bit more fight and a bit more determination instead of doing what we have been doing which is basically giving up

Personally would prefer to see us build on this, put us in the best position we can possibly be in at the end of the season to make us a more attractive proposition for potential players rather than lose the next 11 just to see Pardew get the boot, but that’s just me

Colo, Willo had good games. After Remy missed that you knew he’d give all to score. Was even tracking back when others were knackered.
PS. Is everyone doing a Mourinho (counters) these days?

I think with Dummet getting stick was because he kept hoofing the ball up field, him & Krull were just smashing the ball up field to no man land

Anita looked good when he was probing forward and made a few good tackles too. Also de Jong looks miles better than Shola.

We might have lost Cabaye but surely replacing Shola has more than made up for that.

talk about lowered expectations. By the law of averages we had to score 1 single goal eventually and beat someone and we did against a god awful villa team who couldn’t hit a barn door.

If you think a one goal extra time goal and a win after 7 losses in 9 games with only 4 scored makes pardew some sort of ”leg” then our problems are truly only just beginning.

Thank god pardew had the sense to finally drop saylor and santon, albeit nearly 10 games too late.

Come back when we’ve beaten the mighty sunderland and cardiff

Agree, as I said he had a rusty first half being bought into a team who have conceded 10 goals in 3 games
Thought he grew into the second half a lot more, the only way he’ll improve is regular games at his age
As for krul did you expect anything less with his distribution!

Toonking, why do you really want to see me and a few others come on now? Were you excited with how Pardew had the team playing? Are you pleased with that performance? A basil plant has quicker development and movement.

That was in fact a dreadful game. More of the same from Pardew’s leadership. Villa were awful as well and also had no wins in the last 5 I think.

Relying on Remy’s excellence from a scrappy ball again.

Williamson played well though and I thought Debuchy did quite well also.

That was the some of the quietest crowd participation I’ve ever heard.

Alan’s get out of jail card was played again. More individual skill.

    TADS

I’m thinking that with all the transfer speculation on cisse ATM and as remy could be part of a championship team when he returns to QPR, what they doing is trying their very best to look decent enough for other clubs.

Cisse will know that cashley charges big money so if he is going to join the russian club then he has got to score more goals.

Remy will just want to attract the attention of top premier league teams
