Pardew – Remy Will Be A Hot Property In The Summer

Newcastle got a win with just 30 seconds to go in added time this afternoon, but based on our second half display we probably just about the deserved the win, which was the first one in five games for the Magpies, and only the second win in the last ten games – so we were really due a win – that’s for sure.

Loic Remy – hot property in the summer

It was simply a huge win for Newcastle, and yes we were probably a little bit lucky to get all 3 points – but after what’s happened this year – we’ll take it – thank you very much.

This is what Alan Pardew said after the game today:

“I was a little happier after Loic’s goal went in than I was before,” “It was a strange game and I was beginning to wonder, but we are on 40 points now and I think we’ve had a decent season.”

“We’ve not been very good at home since beating Stoke on Boxing Day but the win will settle us down The players can be a little bit calmer now and show more composure.”

“Technically I gave us six out of ten but I thought Loic was the one player with the composure to score that goal,” “He was the best player on the pitch. The game seemed a little bit slower when he was on the ball, not as frantic.”

“Like Johan Cruyff,  high-class players like him can slow a game down. He’s going to be hot property this summer.”

That last comment suggests that Alan knows he will not be joining Newcastle on a permanent basis this summer.

It’s just so sad that Newcastle don’t have the ambition we once had, when Bobby Robson and Kevin Keegan managed the club and we were a top four club in England, and then we would have a chance to get Remy in permanently – and he would want to sign for us.

That’s not the case today.

    Look lads amd lasses…..

we won. I know some will find that hard to take.
maybe it will highlight that cisse has totally lost it.
Maybe it will also highlight pardews overcaution.
maybe we could all be happy that we pulled away from those beloew us. I was at the falcons match today. We lost. We got a losing bonus point. A system that rewards a never gibe up attitude. Just like nufc never gave up and got all three points. The least gutless performance of 2014.

Listen lads. Pardew has the 4th highest win ratio of all Newcastle United premier league managers.
It’s not my opinion it’s just a fact.
Like I said earlier, I’m sorry if you don’t like it but I’m not making it up. I’m just stating the facts.
I honestly do not get where you are coming from. Are you saying these stats are wrong?

Pardew has the 4th best win percentage of nufc managers in the premiership. If you play by stats, you have to at least aknowlege that.

    Pardew 4th best manager????

Think everyone knows Remy won’t be staying at the toon and given the state of the place and lack of ambition I don’t blame him – he’ll be playing champions league next year

was priceless when Pards said “no other striker at the club could have finished that – well maybe shola could have”

better get shoal a new contract lined up – bet Cisse/De Jong feel good after that comment

parameters of being a top 4 club today are worlds apart now compared to when kk and br managed the team.
achieving top 4 whilst only relying on clubs own resources is impossible. arsenal are the exception in this country.
busy summer ahead as alot will leave. the one thing that will be guarenteed is signings unlike previous two windows. all remains to be seen is if those who come in are going to be good enough.

personally i’ve given up on cisse 🙁 wish he would start scoring again dont get me wrong but atm he’s missed a sitter last game that luuk worked hard for but cisse missed so luuk’s assist was no more and then again in this game and when replaced by luuk he did a lot better in the time he was on than cisse all game !

we do lack quality in midfield where creative players are concerned (would love cabella/grenier) and some really good quality wingers.

could care about top four just want football that pleases the eye don’t even care about the odd thump it long but destroying perfectly good players by playing out of position to accommodate out of form players putting the blame on players when its openly obvious the manager is to blame and a manger who gambles and looses is to scared to back himself up to the owner well if you are happy all well and good but im not and i want change

Percy stated “He’s going to be hot property this summer.” -really does suggest that the loan contract has got nothing in to suggest we might get first opportunity to sign Remy/with original fee of £8 million. Looks like in the summer everyone will have an opportunity to sign him -that being the case it may be quite fruitless teaming him up with de Jong (he might be away as well) to see how they play together/get them used to each others styles. I’m afraid it’s find new strikers and then back to the drawing board.

He is far to cautious. He plays containing football, and it is boring. I would still rather we won though 😉
Lets hope he opens up tactically. Todays win gives us the chance imo

pardew managed to get us 5th place in his first full season.

if ashley didn’t sell cabaye, if ashley didn’t sell ba, if ashley did spend money the summer we had europe, if ashley did spend money this summer, if ashley did spend money this winter and finally if ashley did replace the losses of cabaye and ba we would not be in the mess we are in now.

the facts we do know is
    A) pardew has got a good team to 5th place
    B) sir bobbyrobson and kevin keegan had replacements when players got sold and had always kept their top striker
    C) alan pardew has only had 2 transfer windows with much backing one of those being a panic buy type.

what we will never know is just how good pardew really is, because ashley just doesn’t want to spend the money needed for quality top 4 type teams.

lol how dare you call our former dof who could walk into any club and sign there players !

think we would actually be better if we had vukic and abied for our cm atm and maybe even fergie on the wing atleast we may create a bit more for luuk/remy/goofy then.

you have to respect other people’s comments on here as it is easy to get dragged into stupid arguments, But on saying that I often wonder why the f@ck Catchy is actually a Nufc fan as all he does is bitch and whine and pick fights with fellow bloggers on here. Im baffled by why Guy’s like this bother in life to follow a club when all they have to do is slag it off

Pardew cannot handle big players he is smalltime his playing record and managerial record show him to be a loser and the trend is continuing at Newcastle United.

by my reconning we have 8 more games this season we could realisticaly get points from so imo we will finish in the top10 but i do prey we sign more than a few players “of quality” before next season.

ba in that team was fine i said you could pick players from pardew squad and robson era

my team itself contained cabaye who is not the current squad and i said a few lines later that i forgot about ba

but basically pardew squad era and robson era.
