Pardumb is a curse on this club. He has reduced us to a one-striker club and Remy isnt even ours. Under Pardumb, Cisse, HBA,Marveaux, Bigirimana, Mbiwa, Santon and many more have seen their careers nose-dive. We need to get rid of this buffoon and replace him with someone competent if we wish to move forward as a football club

    Repost (thanks Ed)
The guy who sits behind me at the match reckons “the deal is done for Ashley to sell to the American” – who I assumed was Vince Mcmahon. Also Pardew was told to play Cisse to put him in the shop window for selling to the Russians. I personally thought this was b*ll*cks but anybody heard anything similar?

    Pardew’s achievements this season

Wins over Man Utd, Chelsea and Spurs.

    Mis achievements

Losses to Hull, Mackems (2) Cardiff in FA + WBA and Swansea defeats

which one would you rather see reversed.

Everton deserved a point at Chelsea , they did not just sit and contain

yesterday we were lucky to get the 3 points when it should have been 1

    that’s called luck

so right now it of easily been 7 points

and I’m willing to put a bet on with you right now , Everton will finish this season at least 10 points ahead of us

in what way were we the lucky to win? Neither team created a lot until the last 20 mins when we heaped on the pressure and got our reward.

we weren’t fantastic but we deserved the win.

Personally I thought yesterday was just what we needed, kept a clean sheet and got a win, big weight off the shoulders of the players and manager and hopefully will free them up a little.

Catchy – I don’t think there many on this Blog who would disagree that at the moment Everton are a better team than us certainly with a better owner – so what’s your point?

    @4 catchy

i’m baised ofc with me supporting the toon and not the other team but on motd where i watched the game we had far far more clear cut chances to win the game that seemed easier for them to score than miss (i.e. cisse / remy from luuk’s pass)

very glad for the team against an avg opponent and shows we need to improve on the current team we have even if remy/luuk/colo stays.

I would not say the last 20 , more like the last 10 ,

and are now saying that playing a poooor villa team at home as long as we show some commitment for 20 mins , that’s good enough

Williamson and colo are in the top 3 of our players for yesterday’s match, and I have no clue how, they where both beasted by benteke , he won 21out of 29 areal duals with them , but lacked any support, they where both second best to one man

both goof and sissoko kept playing on the same wing,

we still lacked support to the forwards

and when we do support , it’s our lb and RB

I’m not doubting the ability we have , I question why it’s not used right

    croftus

I agree…neither use nor villa did a lot but we certainly had the better chances and we took ours, even though it was late we had a couple very good ones before. On a better day we could have scored 3 and won at a canter, just missed 2 sitters.

my top prioritys for window would be

    remy
    cabella
    luuk
    2 wingers
    cb

hopefully abied or vukic have improved enough to give us something creative in cm as backup should cabella be out

and we need to hold onto colo untill we find a replacement and bed them in for 6 month’s and push goofy as a striker.

    outs

    ober (useless)
marv (again no good to us just causes trouble)
    shola (past it)
cisse (given enough chances for my liking)
    gosling (meh)

i’ll leave arfa off as think its a tall order unless someone bids for him.

JT @8 – I actually thought Cisse’s all round play was better than usual – he was involved in some of the build ups and laid the ball off quite well. Unfortunately he will be remembered for that miss at the end of the first half which frankly was literally an open goal.

I dont mind the wide support from fullbacks as we don’t have any natural wide men in the starting 11, gouff and sissoko aren’t natural wide players so ideally they get in the middle more and the fullbacks attack the flanks, which they did well, both have a decent cross.

I’d agree we still aren’t playing great but after that run a win and a clean sheet is a great start…hard to go from awful football and poor results to the total opposite so very happy to take on the result as a starting point.

As for benteke…he bosses most CBs in the league but for all the headers he won nothing much came from them so no harm done.

    Us and Everton
Both in the same boat this summer more so Everton who have three of their most influential players are loan players – Barry, Deulofeu and Lukaku on loan..
And how much money do each have to spend ?????

Though i feel Pardew is a useless manager who shouldn’t be managing a club of stature,

fans too play a huge role on what goes on in the pitch. the noise at st james for 81 mins was like a funeral.
