During France’s game in Paris last Wednesday night against Holland, Newcastle’s Loic Remy picked up an injury, after a strong challenge from Bruno Martins, just minutes after Loic came on as a substitute in the 2-0 win.
Loic Remy – in action against Hull last Saturday
It’s being reported this morning that Loic took a knock on his ankle in the game, and was unable to run it off.
So it is being assessed by the Newcastle medics this coming week – but the very last thing we need is for Loic to miss the important game at Fulham next Saturday.
It’s the FA Cup quarter finals this weekend, and Newcastle were supposed to play Everton at home, but the Toffees will face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the early kick-off game today.
Newcastle’s game has now been rearranged with Everton for Tuesday night, 25th March.
We hope Remy’s ankle problem is just a blip, and that he will soon be back in full training during the coming week.
We need to rack up our third successive win at Craven Cottage next Saturday, and that’s possible with the form the lads have shown over the last couple of games.
And a win will be our eighth away win of the season, and that will equal the games we won on the road two years ago, when Newcastle finished fifth.
Howay The Lads!!
