Cabaye Struggling For Games In Ligue 1 – But He’s Still Sexy

9:16 am, Wednesday, March 12th, 2014 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 11 Comments

Yohan Cabaye is struggling to start games at his new club PSG, but he could get a start tonight in the Champions League when PSG host Beyer Leverkusen in Paris, after winning the first leg 4-0 in Germany when Yohan came on after 67 minutes for Blaise Matuidi and scored PSG’s forth goal with two minutes to play.

Yohan Cabaye at PSG

Yohan was often called a dreamboat while he was at Newcastle, but we never exactly knew where that came from, but we suppose he’s a good looking guy,  and would you believe it – but he’s just been voted as the sexiest man in Ligue 1 football by the magazine Tetu in France, as The Mag are reporting today.

We’re not sure whether this award will make up for his lack of playing time at PSG, and it may get even tougher next season, since PSG manager Laurent Blanc has already said he wants to further strengthen his central midfield, the engine of any football team.

And PSG have former Manchester United player Paul Pogba as a top target this summer, and the 20 year-old has been in great form for Juventus this season, but Juventus want to keep him in Torino this summer, and are unlikely to sell simply because a big bid could come in.

It will be interesting to see whether Yohan can become a starter at the Paris club next season, once he’s had time to settle in.

Comments welcome.

    From previous thread regarding Shearer.

Actually, shearer was very close to becoming our new manager when Ashley tried to sell us! I hear you all asking how do you know this? Well to cut a long story short, he was to be installed if a consortium of far east businessmen had been successful in a takeover bid which happened to have my wife’s uncle at the helm. Unfortunately they couldn’t come to an agreement on the asking price as fatty wanted far too much for a championship team. They were willing to pay 100m outright and 40m for the debt with 40m left over for transfers! Shearer had agreed to become manager on 2m a year and Ian ’1 eyed willie’ dowie was to be his assistant! Oh imagine the excitement when I found this out off the father-in-law! I didn’t know all the details until I met the man himself at his sons wedding and asked him so it was straight from the horses mouth so to speak

Oh sorry forgot to say that fatty wanted near 200m for us way back then so god knows what he wants now! They didn’t wanna pay that much as there wouldn’t of been anything left for transfers, although he did say that the budget would of been smaller the year after about 20m I recall

Cabaye doesn’t play for Newcastle anymore so I really don’t care what happens to him now, he can rot in their reserves or even pick up a serious injury, so he misses out on the World Cup
