Former Club Interested In Newcastle Manager

The news in the Mail today is that Alan Pardew is again being linked with a return to Crystal Palace, but that’s unlikely to happen unless the Newcastle manager gets the sack at the end of the season, which is unlikely.

Alan Pardew – Crystal Palace interested in him

This news is being reported because it seems that new manager Tony Pulis, the former Stoke City manager and the Chairman Steve Parish don’t seem to get along, even though Palace have done quite well since Tony took over the club last November from Ian Holloway.

Yesterday at Sunderland it was a typical Tony Pulis performance from Palace, wasting time from the first whistle, and stoutly defending with a good game-plan, against a Sunderland side that just couldn’t score.

And the game ended 0-0, but if Sunderland are to avoid relegation they need to start winning some games.

The reason Alan Pardew’s name comes up is that he has a good relationship with Steve Parish, but Alan would hardly be willing to give up the Newcastle job to go back to Crystal Palace,.

Pardew was a player at the  London club from 1987 through 1991 and of course they reached the FA Cup final in 1990, before losing 1-0 to Manchester United in a replay.

Pardew played 128 times for Palace with 8 goals, having joined them from Yeovil.

There’s no chance that Alan Pardew will become the Crystal Palace manager anytime soon, unless of course we have a terrible run-in to the season, and owner Mike Ashley decides to fire Pardew.

But there’s only a very slim chance of that happening, and Newcastle will need to build for the future in this summer’s transfer window, with a number of players leaving the club..

What do you think?

One thing for certain is that luuk ain’t good enough, his shots on goal lacked power and direction. Infact it was his worse game and offers nothing to the team.

His link play prior to this match was ok ish, but can’t see a future for this lad not at the price being quoted.

There were a few players having an off day yesterday and Dummet was rubbish with his spot kicks, is there not a play maker in the under 18s and 21s that can do a job for us.??? Besides gosling. Can’t believe there is not one that I can think of. Hope there’s someone about.

    Not a good weekend.

if Pardew had any self respect he would walk out of Newcastle, don’t get me wrong I admire his passion towards football but other than that he’s an disgrace to Newcastle and probably our worse manager.

people might say he’s not and dispute this but for me with him having so many bad records here it proves he’s one of the worse ever to set foot inside SJP

His record proves he is not suitable to manage this club . He has broken more records in 3 years than any other Newcastle manager , he has won nothing as a player or manager . The man is a loser who has disgraced NUFC . get rid of the man and let’s get this club back to where we should be .

Black and white____ who would I rather have ? Well to be honest mate , at this minute in time – I don’t really care . I think anyone of the managers available could do a much much better job . So I would say let’s get laudrup or RDM for 2 years then see how things are going , but the most important thing for me is get rid of oardew and try agAin , not saying those 2 managers are the solution , who is ? But let’s start somewhere
