Who Was Newcastle’s Best Player In Southampton Battering?

5:52 pm, Saturday, March 29th, 2014 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 25 Comments

65% of our readers thought we’d be beaten today at Southampton and we were by a score of 4-0 – and but for Rob Elliot in the Newcastle goal, and some poor finishing from Southampton it could have been a worse – a lot  worse.

We expect Alan Pardew to have read the riot act after this game to the players – and we suppose the saving grace is that’s it’s only one game, but we expect the manager and the players to apologize to those faithful Newcastle fans who made the long and hard trip down to St. Mary’s to see this rubbish. :(

Let us know who you think Newcastle’s best player was in this dismal and even disgraceful performance from a Newcastle United side.

How the fff heck does Ben Arfa get 13 percent of votes. He was CRAP.

No shame in relying on a loan player – Lukaku does the biz. The real shame is having nobody else but the loan players.

Pardew lost the dressing room last season and he’s repeated the trick this season too. At least Ash could see for himself today what a third rate pile of c–p he has hired for another 7 years. Soto had half their team missing but the gap was alarming.

Infact they were all crap except for elliot who without we would have lost 8-0.

  • 7 manxpie // Mar 29, 2014 at 5:59 PM

    ben arfa 3rd!!
he couldn’t be arsed from the 1st minute!

  • 8 yo-yo // Mar 29, 2014 at 5:59 PM

    rotonda

Aye right – and we didn’t have three forwards trying for an England spot

  • 9 BuckLuck // Mar 29, 2014 at 5:59 PM

I’m so fed up with Pardews lack of attacking ability. I really don’t think he has any clue how to thread a ball to attackers if his players isn’t hoofing it. Pathetic is an understatement.

I do NOT want Pardew to use Newcastles money in the summer, if it’s available that is. I don’t trust the man. Period!

i wasn’t saying that you were one of them.

All i’m saying is pardew has tried it with dummett in the last few games and against teams in the cup when remy was availible yet their were lots of posts said by people, which moan about not starting cisse.

  • 11 toonking // Mar 29, 2014 at 6:00 PM

    not starting remy*

  • 12 manxpie // Mar 29, 2014 at 6:01 PM

    should be 100% elliot

rotonda wheres this losing the dressing room from??

    you got a link?

  • 13 The next Mike Williamson // Mar 29, 2014 at 6:01 PM

We get destroyed off all teams that play a passing game.

  • 14 beermonkey // Mar 29, 2014 at 6:02 PM

    yo yo

if you got no1 else maybe
but the club invested 10mill in cisse and his first 5mnths that looked a bargin
then for what evr reason he losses form should we not get him back in form over playin a loan player
iam sure a balance could have been found

its silly were in this position and in hindsight we should have just bought remy he would have jumped at the chance

  • 15 Graeme // Mar 29, 2014 at 6:03 PM

I wouldn’t normally vote for any player after a debacle like that, but Elliot’s efforts deserver recognition.

Without him it could have been 8-0 we were that bad.

  • 16 BuckLuck // Mar 29, 2014 at 6:03 PM

    Rotonda heights @ 5

I hope he has lost the dressing room. One step closer…

With the greatest of respect Ed, what a stupid question ! Sometimes it’s best to leave things well alone !

  • 19 SouthCoastToonFan // Mar 29, 2014 at 6:04 PM

The Next Mike Williamson we get destroyed by all teams regardless of how they play. I best teams can’t wait to play us as despite their form they know they can kick start their season against us!

Are you not bored of your constant “Coloshitty” bollox yet?

The rest of us are. You are seriously one boring, repetitive, bitter little fella aren’t you?

  • 21 manxpie // Mar 29, 2014 at 6:09 PM

haha wolf the embarresin thing is i actually clicked the link!

  • 22 toon kk // Mar 29, 2014 at 6:12 PM

I hope travelling supporters enjoyed the game, I hope they didn’t expect us playing well when they set off.
to be honest I don’t think we’re even worth supporting at the moment.
    Major changes needed quick.

Sorry but you do talk some xenophobic BS.

By your reckoning Suarez, Van Persie, ya ya Toure etc etc all lack passion.

I’ve got no problem with foreign players but I have a huge one with this unfit for purpose English manger

    manx

    16th last season

Plus Today was one of the most gutless, disinterested displays I’ve seen in my life, worse than the 2 at home to sunderland .

What exactly has to happen for you to accept pardew can’t motivate them or instil any attacking passing style We haven’t scored in 10 out of 14 games.

How dire does it have to be before you finally wake up and realise that maybe, just maybe your hero who can’t do any wrong and it’s all everyone else’s fault, Pardew is partly to blame.

You continue in denial after every lacklustre performance.
How long are you going to dine out on 1 good season 3 years ago?

  • 24 toonking // Mar 29, 2014 at 6:22 PM

    RT

you don’t look fully at posts so make things bollox.

what i said was that passion has gone from the game and now it’s got replaced by money.

rooney was pressurising united to give him a big money contract if he were to stay.

suaez was only wanting to remain at liverpool if they have CL football and he has a better contract

torre has a big contract at city

if RVP was so passionate he would have still been at arsenal not where he is now at united on a bigger contract which is why he left.

How can Ben Arfa make best player or get any votes at all?
