20 Goals A Season Remy Wants Champions League Football

9:23 am, Friday, April 11th, 2014 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 13 Comments

QPR will not get automatic promotion back to the Premier League this season, so if they are to be promoted they will need to do it via the playoffs.

Loic Remy – in French colors

QPR have been losing too many game this year, and at the moment they are 4th top of the Championship and 13 points behind second placed Burnley, and there are only five game to play.

And their striker Loic Remy will certainly not be returning to the London club, and their manager Harry Redknapp has said today that it’s his understanding  the 27 year-old French striker wants to join a Champions League club.

This is what Harry has said:

“Remy wants to play Champions League football next season, so they tell me,”

“He’s done well at Newcastle, and one or two other big clubs are trying to get him, so there’s every chance he will go.”

“He’s a goal scorer, and with the right team pushing to get in the top four, he’s capable of getting 20 goals.”

The question now is which club will he join, and it looks like he could stay in London with Tottenham having said they had already made, what they call a reasonable offer for the player.

Arsenal are the other club he’s been strongly linked with, but a potential problem there is if Arsenal don’t qualify for the Champions League, and that would be the first time they have failed to qualify under manager Arsene Wenger, with Everton pushing them hard.

And one of their players – Santi Cazorla – has already said if Arsenal cannot win titles he will want to leave and would be delighted to return to Spain.

Why players say these kind of things we have no idea – but it’s so unprofessional – and obviously Cazorla is not exactly fully committed to Arsenal.

However, if Arsenal do finish 5th this season then maybe Loic Remy will have to reconsider,  although Tottenham will not make the Champions League either.

So if Loic really wants Champions League play next season he may have to look to a club other than Arsenal and Tottenham.

Comments welcome.

Just a little extract of the unsackable one’s ramblings, but if believed, the 1-2 new players earmarked to be brought in are separate from if more players leave in the summer, so could possibly be 2 new players then 1 in 1 out.

Highly doubt any of this though as he tends to tow the party line and lie through his teeth!

I’m pleased Lee’s been appointed in that role,” he said. “He’s somebody who knows the club inside out. He’s worked on transfers and has good experience on those, and I hope we can work together in the summer to secure the players we need. We’re focusing on that at the moment.

“There’s absolutely no conflict in terms of where we’re going. The owner’s set out the criteria and we’ve got to bring in players to take us forward.

“We have to reflect on what happens to the squad. If there’s two or three that leave, then we have to replace them on top of the two we want to bring in.

That is Pardew setting out his non-confrontational stall which will be ignored because he is hardly going to walk. Just hope Pulis mucks up next season, then he may be tempted back darn sarf.

We are over-reliant on one or two players. Fr’ instance …..
    A team needs 2 x 12- 20 goal forwards
    2 x 8-12 goal forwrards
    4 x 5-10 goal mid-fielders

Otherwise the opposition just chokes off one or two forwards and there’s just nae bulging net at all.

I would not be surprised if Ashley does not actually like Pardew and is so loathed to pay him off that he is resorting to attempting to lever him out. Knowing that Ashley does not make the best decisions, he was probably sold the good PR story of giving Pardew and staff a long term contract. Or the ‘Joeker’ was brought in purely to stall transfers, either way Ashley was in a no loose situation.

He wants to be back in london champions league is irrelevant. All big players are drawn to london. Plus the wages of course. To attract big players we have to pay through the nose to persuade them to come. Thats why he went to qpr the big bucks and the so called glitz and glamour of london.

We’ve got to bring in a MANAGER to take us forward. Messi and Ronaldo couldn’t save pardew.
