Newcastle Nightmare Continues – Lose 1-0 At Stoke

stoke-city-fcnufc emblem

Peter Crouch had a header that hit the base of a post after 10 minutes, and it was fairly even for most of the first half today the Britannia Stadium, but then Stoke City went ahead with a fluke goal after 42 minutes and goalkeeper Tim Krul has to take some responsibility for the goal.

His Dutch International team-mate Pieters was given the ball out on the left wing, and he immediately put a cross come shot in with his left foot, and the ball ended up in the top right and corner of the goal and it seems the Newcastle goalkeeper thought it was going wide, and didn’t seem to make much of an attempt to get to the ball.

It was a poor piece of judgement from the Newcastle goalkeeper, and that meant Newcastle had to score to prevent our 12th defeat in the last 17 games. 🙁

And how many Newcastle fans thought that would be another defeat when the goal went in – simply because we cannot score?

And of course we did fail to score, and that’s now 11 defeats in the last 16 league games, and we’ve failed to score in 11 of them, and that is the 12th defeat in the last 17 games in all competitions for Newcastle – and in short it’s simply and absolutely pathetic.

And now that means Stoke are only 3 points behind us with a better goal difference and four games to play – Newcastle have been pathetic this year – simply pathetic. – and now we’ll probably end up in 10th place.

And by the way – Stoke looked mediocre at best.

Oh – and we will meet our goal for this season, and finish in the top 10. 🙁

It’s not good enough.

    Again with the “FACT” business?

It is not FACT at all.

You can have a manger having an average team that can play good football but the manager doesn’t know how to play his team and doesn’t know anything about tactics and formations etc.

We have an ok team. They worth much more than 3 points out of 21.

Ashley should go because he is not investing enough. Pardew should go because he doesn’t know how to play with what he has.

    Well another defeat. BUT…

I think it was an alright performance today, a lot and I mean a lot better than usual. We should have had a pen, and both Gosling and Anita should have scored. Stoke at home are a very good team, and we deserved to come out with at least a point.

All the team played decent, except from Gouffran. However decent just wasn’t good enough today. Unlucky lads!

MBiwa and Armstrong both looked good coming on from the bench. Ben-Arfa barely touched the ball and will probably be out next match.

However I’d still like to see Pardew fired, he’s simply not good enough. He’s just not good enough for technical players. We seem to have little creativity. He likes grafters and that is why he fielded that side today.

The whole club is deflated. Mike Ashley and AP have stained the name of this once great club so many times its embarassing. Not only can AP not manage a Football team, he is pompous and an arrogant prat who has been reprimanded for his behaviour so many times for his antics its frightening. Claslees moron who is right up Ahleys HOOP its unreal. I prey for the day Ashley sells up and Pardew leaves or god forbid, gets the sack. 4 games without a sniff of a goal, 12 conceded and a starting line up that would have Sir Bobby Robson turning in his grave.

You are deluded if you think Pardew can achieve anything near what he got in his second season here when he got us to 5th. If he was really backed up by the owner with resources then he would get players like Obertan and get old British overrated players and have his wet dreams of playing 18th century dinosaur football.

    from previous thread….

toonking….. Pardew was the one who said we had a superb squad.

Ashley failed (through Kinnear) to replace Cabaye who has proved to be a great loss which has clearly impacted on the squad.

But, it’s been up to Pardew to motivate and inspire the squad – he’s failed to do that.

Although I urged support for Pardew in the middle of the season, it’s about tine that Ashley started to look for a replacement to join us during the early part of the close season.

Van Gaal’d be nice and would restore some credibility and attract players but being realistic, we haven’t a cat in hell’s chance of getting him on board.

Ah well, another season of Pardew to look forward to.

I don’t expect us pick up another point this season.

Thank you Mr Ashley for allowing greed to come before moving the club on.

Luckily, we’ll get relegated next season based on this squad and their current performances. I say lucky because relegation will deprive Ashley of the TV revenues he loves to promote SD tat.

The financial pages will also put him under close examination as all of the failings at NUFC will attributed solely to him.

to fcuken build a team you need the resources.
arsenal are 5th place not what you would be expecting to see happen 7 years ago.

pardew had a great first half of the season.

if fcuken everton can get into the top 10 next season with just 1 signing in the summer then i might reconsider but until then i don’t give a sh1t about everton as pardew got 5th in his first season.

Pardrews sense of attacking football must be to play defensive players attacking. I’m pritty sure Williamson was playing up front there. While De jong and Ben Arfa were sat on the bench.

Anita- Can’t cut the premier league. Been a few ocasions he has missed complete sitters.

    Ameobi is done

We need to stop playing players all over the place like RB LB cm’s on the wings..We need to cut that sh*t out and get our sh*t toghter quick or there will be relegation next season.

if motivation was so easy to do then we should never have been relegated to the championship in the first place because alan shearer being a gerdie should have got that team motivated and put it this way their was super stars like michel owen playing for us.

We need to get Pardew out before he Pardews Armstrong by constantly giving him nibbles of time on the RW. Just like he did with Campbell by giving him nibbles on the LW.

Toonking…on paper the team we have had this season is better than the one that finished 5th…even Pardew has said that!

…don’t you think it is about time Pardew took some blame? You cannot be in a manager position in either football or real life and blame everyone else. That is what you are paid for!

Disagree on Anita, he had a good game today and in my opinion was probably man of the match on our side.

One problem for me is I don’t know where he should play. In midfield he’s like the jack of all trades, okay at everything but not brilliant at anything. Cabaye was brilliant at passing and Tiote was brilliant at defending, that’s what made them such a good pairing. Anita on the other hand just doesn’t have the defensive steel of Tiote or the ability of Cabaye.

    Still a good player though.

we played with more passion today than in recent games thats for sure!

but still no goals and our final 3rd is shocking i hope thats ameobis final game for us!
how players at this level can’t pass a simple ball or in cisse’s case get in the position that you are taught as a striker to be in the 1st time you kick a ball is beyond me!

and btw the banner was held up by a few nervous 16 y/o’s

Clearly, clearly you have a massive problem is distincting away what the problems are in our club on the pitch, training ground and off the pitch with the owner.

On the pitch and training ground is the responsibility of the manager, we have players which are still here that finished in the season that was a miracle (5th in the league). The same players are now underperforming and we have even added some raw talent from the french league which one time Mbiwa captain at Montpellier where he won the league and was known as one of the worlds youngest potential and best center backs at the time, comes here, he gets played out of position and had to be forced on due to steven taylor getting injured.

Ben Arfa our most creative player along side Marveaux which was once again no where near seen on the bench or the stadium are getting constantly bad press and blames from Pardew.

Our youngest prospect Adam Armstrong gets played out of position when a day before Alan Pardew said he wouldnt play youngsters as it would ruin there potential and morale, well its too late for that ParTw@t.

The formation was shown as a 3-5-2, to make it seem to the fans that Pardew was trying a new attacking formation. It was the exact opposite, there was 2 wing backs, therefore its a 5-3-2 all ultra defence negative hoofball.

Every time they came attacking at us we had our whole squad in the box to defend.

The manager is the man responsible to motivate, train, work on weaknesses, set pieces, movement, discipline, basically everything you see on pitch it was the manager is responisble for, most importantly that includes MOTIVATION.

A manager that admits he cannot motivate players is the instance of when he should sack or resign to save his dignity.

You can tell us, no need to be afraid. Is Pardew paying you from his casino money to protect and be his PR,PA buddy?

nothing is going to ever change my opinion on pardew.

when managers are fcuken sacked they are sacked because the owner has paid the money in transfer windows to bring players.

what managers don’t deserve the fcuken sack for is when the owner has left us with players like shola ameobi saylor obatan marvo de jong and cisse as the attackers.
