Newcastle Fans Want Moyes As Manager

With over 2,000 votes in 73% of fans want to see David Moyes as the next manager at Newcastle United.

David Moyes Manchester United

David Moyes – fired Manchester United manager

David’s stock has fallen since he’s been at Manchester United, but he was simply great at Everton and had the Goodison Park in the top six a total of six times, and he had less money to spend than he will get at Newcastle – if he does become the next Newcastle United manager.

Moyes is used to operating on a tight budget – but it wouldn’t seem too bad at Newcastle, at least not compared to the money he was given at Everton.

And Newcastle fans are keen, make that very keen – let’s make that desperate – to get the club back into the top six.

That would be a good start.

We would assume a number of clubs – like Norwich City as just one example – would be keen to get David on board for next season – so any club who want David Moyes will presumably have to move fast.

And of course we have no idea if Mike Ashley has any interest in signing Moyes – because we haven’t a clue what Mike thinks at any time.

We just don’t hear anything at all from Mike Ashley – so we are always in the dark – so to speak.

Comments welcome.

The man has never won anything he’s Pardews Scottish cousin. Since the 25th of December Newcastle United have failed to score any goals in 71% of their matches.

I think “Fans don’t want Pardew as Manager” might have been a more accurate heading, Ed?

I’d have him based purely on the fact that he isn’t Pardew but there again, I’d take Robben based purely on the fact that he isn’t Obertan so what do I know?

    Can anyone answer this :

If we(Ashley) aim to be a top 10 side(only) regularly, then why dont we plug gaps with half decent players..
    Wingers-Redmond,Sinclair,Arnautavic
    strikers-Shane Long

Something like that..Why do we wait window after window for better players when we have no god damn ambition.
Why do you want a Debuchy or a Sissoko or a MYM..
Why not a Sinclair,Long,Redmond,Mariappa..Assemble such decent players and 1 or 2 good ones and you have a top 10 squad that is not overly ambitious..
Add a few characters like nolan barton and they wudnt get demotivated either…

Why doesent Ashley use that plan..Simple..Quick..No ambition..
Is Sell On Value the only reason ?? Or wages ?? The current plan seems to have gone astray with too much waiting and departing players lining up..

There is only one small flaw in this article – we already have a Manager.

The owner seems very happy with him, he is delivering exactly what the owner has set out, there are absolutely NO indications that Pardew is about to resign or retire!!

We are stuck with this level of performance for at least the next season, then probably the one after as well, but in the Championship!!

Moyes is the type of manager Pardew tries to be. It’s all about packing the midfield and having 11 hard-working players. No room for flair.

I will take Moyes only because he is not Pardew.

However, Moyes struggled to beat big teams at Everton, and guess what same at ManU

It’s all nonsense anyway. Why go for Moyes – who has just cashed in his contract payments, when we could go for Di Matteo.

On that note, it would never happen. Didn’t he say last month that he would need to “feel the ambition”?

    mag,

    I meant such players..
For top 10 palace have jerome and gayle and chamakh..
    Stoke have crouch and walters..

If all Ashley wants is top 10 such players..i mean little better like hooper will do…get them in, fill the gaps and job done.

Instead he holds out for debuchy sissoko mym cabella aubameyang etc..
Why does an ambitionless side need to take that risk.
Look at what such risks have got him into now..

Manure gave Moyes a six year contract and got rid after 9 months because he is crap. We have a worse manager and he is still here after 4 years. A wee club in the north east with no ambition.

The more I think about it the more I believe Pardews job is safe, regardless of recent results we are safe and that must be the target for a team not signing 1 player on a perm
I think we will sign maybe 6 players of quality with 6 poor ones departing

@mag: If you remember, Ba wanted to leave because “[he] was in a club, looked around and noticed all of the scantily clad ladies” and “realised that it offended his Muslim faith” – paraphrasing, of course.

Because, as we all know, London is definitely not full of sex clubs and Chelsea is definitely not 10 minutes away from Soho.

The difference between Moyes and Pardew is minimal, at best. I personally would take Moyes but that’s because I do think he has the makings of a good manager. The difference between Moyes brand of football and Fergie’s brand is minimal. Fergie wanted to retain possession, and pass forward. You actually saw him getting annoyed at sideways or backwards passes. Moyes, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to know how to instruct his team to go forward once they have safe possession.

Either way, looking at Man U this season and us in the second half of this season, there’s panic on the players faces. They don’t actually know what to do with themselves when they’re on the ball and that all comes down to poor coaching.

I actually remember somebody on here posting a load of comments from an Everton blog to prove a point that the complaints a lot of the Evertonians had about Moyes in his early career on Merseyside were the same problems we all had with Pardew and this all culminated in the poster saying “and look at the football Moyes has Everton playing now.” He wasn’t cut out for Man U and I do think it’s a shame that he’s got the sack because, given another season, you’d have seen the Man U we all know and hate.

@scout: Cant blame Ashley for not talking to the fans that incident involving the blokes daughter was bang out of order.

I can’t remember that. Any chance of refreshing my memory?
