Alan Pardew is getting severe criticism from Newcastle fans, after the terrible form and hopeless run of results we’ve been on – and Pardew knows the results are simply not good enough for Newcastle United.
Alan Pardew – gutted
But nothing like the Newcastle fans are gutted and fed up
Alan Pardew has now served his seven game ban for that headbutt on David Meyler, and in those games we got just 3 points – one single win against Crystal Palace – and we lost the other six and scored just two goals in those seven games.
Absolutely pathetic.
This is what Alan Pardew has said about the Swansea 2-1 defeat in the Chronicle:
“It is hard to believe really, when we beat Palace in March that we would end up like this.” “I’m absolutely gutted with events after the last-minute goal.”
“I didn’t think we deserved it. Unfortunately we are going to have to wear it.”
What Alan Pardew fails to point out is that we scored the winning goal over three minutes into added time against Crystal Palace to rather luckily win that game – so Alan is again demonstrating his selective memory.
Yes – we were beaten by a stoppage time goal against Swansea last Saturday – but hey – you win some and you lose some.
The problem with Newcastle this year is we keep losing some – in fact we keep losing most of our games.
And we’ve lost 13 of the last 18 games in all competitions, and to say that is pathetic is probably a huge understatement.
There’s tremendous pressure on Pardew to get some results in the last three games of the season – and heaven forbid if we lose all three – against Arsenal, Cardiff and Liverpool – Mike Ashley could well call time on Pardew being the manager at Newcastle.
We just hope he doesn’t then bring in Joe Kinnear.
I’m just kidding!!
Honest.

Comment #4It’s not so much that we’ve lost, it’s the fact that we’ve created so few chances since the turn of the year. Whether we won against Swansea or anybody else misses the point – we look totally inept against anyone, creating so little. When was the last time we dominated a team even for a 5 minute spell and forced many saves?

Comment #5We have been crap since Christmas – nothing to do with Pardew’s infamous head touch. We hit 40 points, sat in 6th place and everyone swicthed off. The Manager, the Coaches, the Players.
Zero ambition, zero self respect, zero interest in the paying customers. A complete and utter capitulation of resposibility.

Comment #8It is a sad day when you find yourself wanting us to lose, as I also now do, just so that we can look even worse and something might be done. I can’t believe I found myself almost resigned to losing to Swansea, even after we went 1-0 up.

Comment #9Pardew has bleated on for weeks that he can’t influence the game from the stands blah blah blah blah.
Someone needs to grip hold of him and remind him two things
Firstly – The reason he is in the stands is his own bloody fault because he can’t keep his head to himself.
And secondly – This run of form has been going on for some time, we had an upturn at the start of the season but we have reverted to type and are now mirroring the side we were last season.
Stop the excuses Alan and simply walk away

The interview is from after the Swansea game with Mick Lowes
Pardew starts off with this bute “I am the best candidate for this club and have proven in the past 3 years”.
When he was asked if the owner spoken to him about his future he said “I don’t think its the time to talk about my future” if you listen to the way he say’s this it seems (to me at least) that he knows his time is almost up

Listened to that interview, there’s been a lot said on here the last few weeks, Ashley should sack him, Ashley should move him upstairs etc and then there’s the debate over whether or not he himself should walk be it so he can leave with his dignity (partially!) intact, he has a moral obligation etc but the thing is i genuinely don’t think he see’s it that way, i genuinely think in his mind he’s doing the best he can do with the hand he’s been dealt, when he say’ she’s the best man for the job i 100% think in his mind he truly believes that

I agree ate I think he does truly believe what he say’s the truth on the other hand is a very different matter as he is failing in most people eye’s even though Ashley’s compounding our problems.
I had a discussion about Pardew earlier today and I honestly think that if Ashley is going to invest this coming summer i think he may well pull the plug on Pardew as I seriously doubt he’d entrust either the money or the players to him and by sacking Pardew it would also give him a little peace and quiet as the local would pipe down and when we hear that season ticket sales are down by 14,000 then something drastic has to happen.
For me Pardew is a broken man who has run out of idea’s and needs to go for the good of the club as shifting Ashley is a different type of fight altogether

The problem is i think MA is just as deluded/naive as Pardew!
I genuinely think he’d trust him with investment because as it stands he’s his man with the football knowledge

Mate close range, he’d started to go past the ball and not only had to adjust to get solid hands on it but had to put the force to party it away from the danger area
Not many keepers can do that in a split second, ask Timmy, how many times do we see his reaction saves parried straight back into the danger area?

Comment #24That is exactly the reason I hate Guardiola’s style of football . Although effective it is dire to watch .
Jupp Heynckes turned Guardiola’s Barca over twice in the CL last year and I don’t know why they got rid of him .
My favourite teams to watch in world football at the minute are Dortmund & Liverpool .

Most Spanish clubs are m8 .
Some people think the PL has the biggest diva’s but I reckon the Spanish clubs take the cake . El classico is more like a WWE PPV event than a football match these days .

Comment #301-0 fir the home team for me is always the best way for neutrals going into the second leg
The trailing team can’t sit back and the team with the goal can’t really either as a 1-0 agh lead with a home goal is very very narrow
Should be a cracking second leg hopefully

He must be gutted too with an owner without ambition.
Glad I’m away at the weekend and won’t get to see the arsenal game.
Pardew will say, hopefully were still in it at half time and we can try get something in the second half by parking the bus.
We won’t be in it from the kick off Alan

Comment #36having watched that match tonight and thinking back to the teams who were in the Champions league knock out stage.
does this not prove to us that really these player we buy are nothing more than top 10 teams?
just thing to yourselves why is their just 1 team who made it through to the knock out stage of the champions league that was from the french league?
think of it like this, if these french teams can’t progress past the group stages of the champions league then how will these players we buy manage to improve their performance in one of the hardest leagues of all “premier league”.
does it not show really why they are all so cheap?
i watched a game today and their were as many as 8 madrid players in their own half but that didn’t stop them from going forward, the reason these could get forward is they are fast on the counter attack and don’t stand around like statues which you see ours doing all the time.
even if we are to get an incredible manager next season it will not change things one bit if we still getting french players.
people say on here football has changed so much and pardew is a dinosaur.
the same thing should be applied to the international part of the game because france are now a team who can loose to ireland in world cup play offs (which they should have did) the nations with the best players now are germany, spain, brazil and argentina. then you have semi decent ones holland and uragray.
but you think england are bad but they are better than france.

Comment #37On the topic of managers .. Would live it if we went with pepe Mel or Zola .. There has been talk of Mel leaving west brom.. Nobody would care too much if we were mid table as long as the football was good to watch .. Poor football and midtable is shocking

Comment #39Jack Butler – Funny thing about influence. I think I read that once this season we have managed to take a total of three points if we did not score the first goal of the game….and that was against Stoke. The guy may have the odd good game plan has no ability to affect a match half way through or motivate his players when they are not up to snuff. Thats management. His is piss poor.

Comment #40sweendog i don’t quite understand that really surely if we were playing good football we’d be higher than mid table?
or do ya mean passing it round a bit more and not scoring much and losing as much as we win?
