It seems almost certain that Arsenal’s French manager Arsene Wenger will make a move for French International striker Loic Remy in the summer, after he has today praised the QPR striker, who has been on loan at Newcastle this season.
Loic Remy – in action at Hull City
Arsenal have been linked with Remy for some time now, and the London club is looking to bring in more goal-scoring power up front to help out current top striker Olivier Giroud, who is also French.
And if you believe what the papers write, then Arsenal is Loic Remy’s preferred choice of club he wants to join this summer, when his loan spell is up on Tyneside.
This is what Wenger has said today:
“Remy is a good striker,” “But at the moment we are focused on the end of the season, not on transfers.”
There are likely to be other big clubs after the 27 year-old in the summer, with Juventus another top club said to be interested in signing the striker, who has scored 13 goals in 25 appearances for Newcastle this season.
And it’s very likely that Loic will join a club in the Champions League every season, since that’s the competition top players want to play in every season.
There’s no chance that Newcastle will be able to sign the striker, because we are no longer a big enough club, for what is a top player in Loic Remy.
That’s sad but true.
