Newcastle Lose 3-0 To Arsenal – Sixth Defeat In A Row

As expected, Newcastle lost at the Emirates tonight by a score of 3-0 to the Gunners, with goals from Laurent Koscielny (26), Mesut Ozil (42) and Olivier Giroud (65), and quite simply we were no match for Arsenal, as the disastrous second half of the season continues unabated, and but for some good saves by goalkeeper Tim Krul – it could have been worse.

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Arsenal v Newcastle United - Emirates Stadium

Ozil and Gosling challenge for the ball tonight

And that’s the sixth defeat in a row in the Premier League for the club, a new record, and in the last 18 league games we have lost 13, and failed to score in 13, and accumulated just 13 points – and that’s real relegation form – and over a full season that would get us about 27 points.

And throw in the loss to Cardiff City in the FA Cup third round at home and that’s 14 defeats in the last 19 games – can it get any worse?

The last time Newcastle lost six league games was way back in the 1986-1987 season when Iam McFaul was the manager – and it’s yet another unwanted record for manager Alan Pardew.

We play Cardiff City at home in the next game, and they are rock bottom of the league and they were hammered by Sunderland 4-0 on Sunday – so surely we can get something out of that game?

We’ll have a report of tonight’s game coming out – fairly soon.

These Newcastle games are getting very hard to watch, and after seven years of Mike Ashley owning the club, we look like a completely spent force. 🙁

“What is a club in any case?”

“Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it.

It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes.”

“It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.”

“It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love.”

    I’M NOT IN LOVE ANYMORE!!!

as you are aware I do not dislike Pardew to the extent that you do, but I have to agree with you, the players aren’t playing for him, he should go now.

And I don’t think so at all. Why was he not sacked before? 3-0 to Arsenal? The least problematic result we’ve had in this 6 losses in a row run.

He won’t be sacked. If he will be, I will be very very very surprised.

He wont resign…not because he wants to milk this job for everything it is worth but because he really doesn’t see that he is the problem.

He is an utter moron. Why else would you not ever change your set piece routine even after it was pointed out to him in a press conference.

If Pardew goes, who replaces him?
    Malky?
    Curbishley?
    Laudrup?

I think it all depends on what Ashley is going to be doing this summer.

No point in sacking Pardew now…….. only 2 games to play then get rid of the idiot at the end of the season.

this club is a total and utter mess.

those who live in the north east and actually go to football matches, i would like to ask you all to show this whole club from the owner right down to the players just what we think of them at the minute and ignore them this weekend, instead lets get behind the team which is just across the tyne, gateshead themselves deserve more than this fcuken club.

owner- cares about nothing but money and only wants us as advertising.
manager- i have backed him in the past but even i’m sick to death of him now, he fcuken knows this owner is not assured to allow him to spend money but what does he do, brings shola on first. their is only one reason i worry about him leaving and that’s because i don’t expect anyone better. the type i would love is a manager like bruce or lee clark who would do never allow newcastle to get into this state.
players- some say these are great players well put it this way great players don’t fcuken come into a team who had just come up from the championship or join a team who were battling relegation. great players join teams who give big wages or provide champions league.
the players we get coming here are greedy g1ts, selfish b@stards or using us as a stepping stone.

owner manager coaches and players all get fcuken out of this club.

I’m thinking Ashley waits for us to end 11th, as i’m sure Pardews 8 yr contract has got some “if you don’t reach our goals you’re out without a penny”-clauses. And this year it’s 10th.

    well, could be.

Don’t think anything will get better with a new manager though.

Here come the Arma votes for no good reason…

Gosling was the only one who really looked like he wanted it. Sissoko was laughable, Anita was ineffective. The less said about Colo and Willo the better, and Krul seemed to be second guessing everything that he had time to second guess.

How the fcuk is Pardew still in a job? Honestly.

Boys he is getting worse by the match.

Even Ashley wont stomach this, he knows no other manager has ever failed to score in what 13 games out of 18….
    6 defeats in a row
3 or 4 derbies now getting stuffed
    Headbutts on the line
Ashley knows players will never come whilst he is here so by that risks his precious SD advertising.

He walked away from tge dugout without even looking at his coaches, shook Arsene hand and was away…. He knows and I am as sure as I can he will be out of a job.

    This cannot continue boys

Please fall on your sword Alan ..your a Knacker.

Imagine if Liverpool have to up the goal difference by 10 on the final Sunday of the prem to win the title …

we were rag tag second half all over the place ..its no good just keeping your shape at the back if you not going to get stuck in and force the fooking issue somewhere ..its no good just popping in and out at the threat, with cover, then not offering anything when you get there….that’s how you get the ball back and usually results in hitting the oppo on the break ..knocks them out of the pretty patterns .

Anyway Ramsey ran the show most of the game . he needed a rest he worked hard. gosling! omg . nuff said there !

Arsenal playing it around at the back ..easily,,there’s no pushing up with this fear football, so no pressure on the defenders ..none at all. we are tactically ragged and inept ..christ, its a simple game, complicated by fools.

NUFC have to guarantee targets for next season will be 10 finish and a semi final appearance in a cup competition. Otherwise it is just not worth being a supporter. NUST should be friendly encouraging fans to not buy kits, merchandise or season tickets.
