As expected, Newcastle lost at the Emirates tonight by a score of 3-0 to the Gunners, with goals from Laurent Koscielny (26), Mesut Ozil (42) and Olivier Giroud (65), and quite simply we were no match for Arsenal, as the disastrous second half of the season continues unabated, and but for some good saves by goalkeeper Tim Krul – it could have been worse.
Ozil and Gosling challenge for the ball tonight
And that’s the sixth defeat in a row in the Premier League for the club, a new record, and in the last 18 league games we have lost 13, and failed to score in 13, and accumulated just 13 points – and that’s real relegation form – and over a full season that would get us about 27 points.
And throw in the loss to Cardiff City in the FA Cup third round at home and that’s 14 defeats in the last 19 games – can it get any worse?
The last time Newcastle lost six league games was way back in the 1986-1987 season when Iam McFaul was the manager – and it’s yet another unwanted record for manager Alan Pardew.
We play Cardiff City at home in the next game, and they are rock bottom of the league and they were hammered by Sunderland 4-0 on Sunday – so surely we can get something out of that game?
We’ll have a report of tonight’s game coming out – fairly soon.
These Newcastle games are getting very hard to watch, and after seven years of Mike Ashley owning the club, we look like a completely spent force. đ

Comment #82we must remember pardew is
1) a winner
2) his teams always play on the front foot
3) On the touchline he can stop teams scoring

Comment #85Pardew quotes ..live from Sky interview, just the key words, ” Arsenal on good form , tough for us , tried to dig in, showed good character, played ok in second half, I’ve lost six on the trot, focus on top ten finish, players working hard, I’m under pressure, trying our hardest, will build team in summer to make toon proud, try to get supporters to help players get win on Saturday ” – only words he missed were “complete and utter bullocks”

the think that i hate about them is they making it look as though this owner is not actually a bad owner after all.
if they expecting this sh1t manager to leave and be replaced with a decent one they must be thinking this owner is a good one.
spurs can’t seem to appoint decent ones all they get is AVB
united don’t appoint good foreign managers they appoint moyse.
liverpool under hicks and guilett didn’t appoint a decent one they just appoint daglish
venkies don’t appoint good ones they appoint keene.
so if newcastle are going to get a good manager they need a good owner, so i wish people would stop it with pardew and just aim it onto ashley first.

Comment #89Again Stupid substitutions taken our best player – Debuchy off for Mbiwa. Gosling for Ameobi hells bloody bells did the useless nerd touch the ball and bringing on Armstrong for in the last two minutes what the hell is the young kid gonna do.
Enough is Enough with Pardew and I backed him up to the last few games – Got to go
MOM for the Toon if I had to pick one Debuchy
My new season wish list – give me a keeper that dominates the six yard box – Krul should of came for free kick NO KEEPER shoiuld let a free kick from 30 yards out drop/bounce infront of him in the six yard box

Comment #96Actually 3 nil is a lot better than I expected. I was worried we would be absolutely overrun and concede 5 or more.
But losing 6 on the bounce during a second half of the season which is frankly little better than relegation form is really worrying.
We all know who is to blame. I allowed my season ticket to be renewed, but if there is no investment both on off the field, this will be my last season.

Comment #100Right; we’ve just handed Arsenal a CL place at the expense of Everton.

It’s a freakin disgrace ! Pardew plays Shola ahead of Armstrong ?????
Get out of our club Pardew !!!

Comment #102A message to all the Adam Armstrong’s hoping to breakthrough at NUFC – Leave while you can, because with this current regime and management, they contrive to take good players and make them worse!!
Remy, I don’t & won’t blame you for not signing for us – Why would you?? What have they gave you that would convince you to stay? No service, No belief, no nothing If anything, you have been a godsend for us. Play for a team that create chances, can attack, can defend and go on to win things!! The only chance of silverware you may win with us is possibly and I mean possibly a Championship trophy if you are lucky.
Not one player on that pitch tonight was shouting and balling to try and gee up the team, no fist pumping, no getting a hold of a player for not doing their job, no “unluckies”, no “well played”, no “nice pass” no praise at all to instill a bit of confidence. Not only has Ashley muted the press, but by the looks of it, he has banned the players from talking too.
I am utterly dejected, have no pride in my team, and feel that I must talk to friends and colleagues about other teams they support so that I don’t have to talk about NUFC due to sheer embarrassment!! What the hell are they coaching up there?? I can’t make any sense of it. To say schoolboy errors over the last 6 games actually does schoolboy errors an injustice.
Just watched Pardew’s press conference – the players are under pressure, so they should be, they get rewarded handsomely for that pressure. If they can’t handle that, then they are in the wrong line of work. Talk about pressure when a surgeon is performing a life threatening operation, talk about pressure when a fireman enters a building engulfed in flames, talk about pressure when you are a soldier fighting for your life in a foreign country, talk about pressure when you are trying to provide the best you can in low paid jobs to support your family – that is pressure!! not because 50000+ people moan and groan because an elite sportsman allegedly at the top of their profession can’t pass a ball 5 yards, head/kick a ball clear, score a goal, that is not pressure. What happens when it all goes wrong and someone succumbs to that pressure? A nice big pay off, or a move to another club for higher salary, that is a pressure that I certainly wouldn’t mind being under.
Apologies for the rant, I felt the need to get that off my chest – not that I feel better for it!
Where do we go from here???? Answers on a postcard………
