Last Home Game For Loic Remy – Will It Be Memorable?

It will be the final home game for Loic Remy on Saturday at St. James” Park, and the French International has had a great season on Tyneside with a goal in every two appearances, and so far he has 13 goals in 26 appearances for the Magpies, and seems to have enjoyed his stay on Tyneside.

Loic Remy – scoring at West Ham

The news is that Arsenal are said to be making a move for him in the transfer market, and they will bid around £12M for the striker, and Loic seems to want to play for the top London side.

One of the reasons we have lost six games in a row, was that Loic Remy and Mathieu Debuchy have been our since the Hull City game, in which Pardew picked up his seven game ban – and it seems to have started the rot.

But the two of them started for the first time since the Hull game at Arsenal, as did Moussa Sissoko, who had also missed a few games with injury, and the three Frenchmen gave us a little bit more bite and class in the side.

This is what Pardew told the Shields Gazette about them:

“We had the three internationals coming back,” “And they’re important players for us.” “I don’t think they were every going to produce their best performance on their first full game back in the Premier League.”

“I thought Moussa looked great considering he had a hamstring injury only three weeks ago. I was really pleased with him.” “They will be up to speed for Saturday.”

“Debuchy looked a little bit more tired than the other two.” “I took Debuchy off because I wanted to save him for Saturday. He will be better for the game.”

With Loic Remy leaving the club, and Luuk de Jong simply not making the grade, Newcastle will need to bring in some strikers in the summer transfer window, although there seems a chance that veteran striker Shola Ameobi could be offered a contract extension this summer.

Let;s hope Remy can fire in a few of those goals for us on Saturday, and who knows we could even get a win – that’s when we score more goals than the opposition – remember?

Ed, can you add a “don’t care” option to your poll?

I’d already advocated a 0 or 45 minute walk out a couple of weeks back, but the 60 minute walk out is sounding increasingly appealing to me.

Clearly Pardew doesn’t like the sound of it, which is even more reason to do it?

We just have to hope that Cardiff are worse than us on Saturday,as we look atrocious and so do they.
Still think they may have more bite than us but we should have that little more class in the side.
Problem for us is that leaky defence and a defensive manager that can’t get his team to defend properly

So he needs the players in and says the team had a great week of training and they missed him on the sidelines???… but they can’t play well after one game? What about all the heavy defeats we had when those players still played after a run of games?

Then it will switch to length of grass or toired or too hyped.

So full of it, I really do hate this guy. His excuses and lies are simply pathetic. Pardew out.

It’s gonna have to be one heck of a transfer window to get fans excited again.
With the amount of players that’ll be leaving needing replaced on top of what we already lack.
Is Abeid(maybe),Sammy,Armstrong and Campbell gonna put bums on seats?
Finishing the season on a negative will turn good targets off, inspiring players don’t want to come to the PL to play for 8th-10th place.
We won’t challenge the top 4,that’s it ,but we should be plying our trade around 5-7th place and not with -18 goals difference, not 30 points off the teams above.

Pardew revealed: “We put a lot of work in last week.

“But I thought we looked fresh towards the end (at Arsenal) considering the work we put in.”

Pardew, though, has toned down his sessions this week as he looks to finish the season on a high.

Rather than intensity, Pardew will focus on team shape as he looks to first send Cardiff down, then upset Liverpool’s title bid.

The Toon boss will be eager to avoid a repeat of one of his worst nightmares as he looks to swerve another hammering at Anfield on the final day of the season.

He has failed to win a game at Anfield as Toon boss and also suffered a 9-0 pasting as a player back in 1989 with Crystal Palace.

He said: “From now until Cardiff we won’t be doing much. A bit of team play and just saving our legs.

“As important as the game is for Cardiff, it’s important for us.”

Fresh? The amount of work? And there we have it ladies and gentlemen! Clearly delusional!

He lost 9-0 as a palace player at anfield! The omens are not in our favour

Anyone else dread to think of what he will say if we beat Cardiff? I’m currently cringing at the thought of it

Loic Remy has been an excellent loan for us.
Don’t blame him for not signing a full time deal.
He’s been real quality,if only we had a manager/owner that could’ve kept Cabaye and built a team around them.

i’m glad fans are doing something but i’m not sure its the best time to do it for our club or even the best way at all to do it tbh !

infect i’m not even sure if its for the right reasons ! will changing pards make a difference when ash doesnt release funds or would pards do better when he has funds to spend ?

i’d love to see someone come in and make us an attacking team and exciting to watch again and maybe make arfa/marv into great players but i just cant see it when theres no top name managers who would even consider coming to us !

imo its ash who needs to change first (and hopefully he is going to with the release of this rumoured 60mil funds) when he changes we will attract better managers who will know they will get support.

We need to get beat by Cardiff if you want rid of P45DUE as if he get 3 points then he will more than likely hit his target and will get his bonus for being in the top 10. I know it is sad but we and the players NEED A NEW MANAGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
