Pardew Sky Interview – Proud Of Players – Im Staying – Video

an pardew before the game

Alan Pardew before the game today – it got nasty – especially in second half

Here is the Alan Pardew Sky Sports Interview after the game today – which Newcastle won by 3-0 and doomed Cardiff City to relegation after only one season in the Premier League.

Alan shows some stress after the game we thought – but he praised his players – and said he did not go to the sideline too much – because of the abuse he was getting from the fans – so John Carver was sent out to the sideline.

He also said he is staying on as manager.

It will be very telling for the future of this club what Ashley does in the summer, some reports say that he hasn’t spoken to Pardew for three weeks but if he does retain him then nothing is going to change and we are in for another season of hell

  • 2 validator // May 3, 2014 at 7:03 PM

What about the fans that stayed Alan?

  • 3 Big Pappa Cissé // May 3, 2014 at 7:04 PM

Didn’t you know lads, Pardew picks his team on merit .

That’s why our leading assist maker last season can’t even make the bench and HBA our most technically gifted player is in the stands .

  • 4 validator // May 3, 2014 at 7:05 PM

Mr Butler your estimation of Marveaux lets you down as he is awful.

  • 5 davetoon // May 3, 2014 at 7:06 PM

It shuld be a win-win. Pardew gets a nice payment for his contract and picks up another job at a lower level when hes ready and we get a new manager with technical ability

  • 6 Small World // May 3, 2014 at 7:07 PM

He was given a touchline ban by the fans today and it worked out the best. I suggest that the next game is spent in the stands and after that he can just stay away (forever).

  • 7 theartfuldodger // May 3, 2014 at 7:07 PM

Its gonna be more of the same.
Only tricky thing now is convincing players to join.
    Rest is business as usual..Midtable..

  • 8 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 7:09 PM

    that is the fear mate

  • 9 manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 7:11 PM

rotonda haha i suddenly reappear do i??

it shows you ain’t been watching for a while then

are you gonna post some more bollocks that you post as fact like lukaku was out for “nearly 3 months” (it started as 2 months btw!) where as in actual fact he missed 3 prem games!! lol! and remember you posted that continuosly so yeah my points are thought out unlike yours fella so wat was wrong with my point exactly!!?

  • 10 Big Pappa Cissé // May 3, 2014 at 7:11 PM

    @ validator

If he is awful then what is Gosling ? .

What has Gosling actually done in his appearances for NUFC other than (from what I can remember) scoring a consolation goal against City 2 years ago and getting paid for being injured ? .

Hey the lad puts a shift in though, that’ll win us games .

Oh wait, prior to today we have lost the last 6 in a row .

  • 11 manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 7:12 PM

    manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 7:09 PM

    rotonda no it doesn’t ffs
it just means next year you’ll be saying the same with another manager but even worse than pardew

if you cant see that then god help the club!

  • 12 validator // May 3, 2014 at 7:14 PM

BPC yes he’s awful and you know it deep down, the reason he doesn’t play is because he doesn’t do anything when he’s on the pitch.

  • 13 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 7:15 PM

Do we have another case of multiple personality disorder going on………………..again!!!

  • 14 toon kk // May 3, 2014 at 7:17 PM

Pardew earnt himself a bonus today not the sack.
MA wont sack him, he doesn’t understand.

  • 15 welshgeordie9 // May 3, 2014 at 7:18 PM

    Good evening gents and manxpie

  • 16 theartfuldodger // May 3, 2014 at 7:19 PM

    Your a are content..

  • 17 davetoon // May 3, 2014 at 7:19 PM

Number 1 is that Ashley needs to get someone into the club at boardroom level that can advise him on football matters.

  • 18 manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 7:20 PM

alrite serious question if pardews sacked who is likely to come in?

and remember there will be no big pay out to the coaching team so the new 1 will have to work with them

so go on who’s the likely candidate??

  • 19 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 7:23 PM

I’d take Malky Mackay or Laudrup, just two off the top of my head as either would be a better bet than going into next season with Pardew

  • 20 manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 7:24 PM

jack so marveaux deserves a starting place for about 10 mins worth of actually doing something

and its obvious he doesn’t work that hard in training?

  • 21 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 7:24 PM

    Have I said that?

    Don’t think so?

  • 22 validator // May 3, 2014 at 7:25 PM

Marveaux is a disgrace to the club.

  • 23 toon kk // May 3, 2014 at 7:27 PM

    Pardew won’t be going nowhere.
The problems are deeper than just the manager.
the player’s aren’t good enough for a start.

  • 24 manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 7:27 PM

jack malky maybe but laudrop no chance lol

laudrop who lost his job also saying he needs to spend 200 mill and fell out with his owner

never gonna happen he also made swansea worse after saying the europa doesn’t make a difference

  • 25 welshgeordie9 // May 3, 2014 at 7:27 PM

    How about

    Sam allardyce
    Glenn Roeder
    Graeme Souness
    Kevin Keegan
    Ant and dec
    Chas and Dave
    Chuckle brothers

  • 26 toonking // May 3, 2014 at 7:27 PM

HBA stats over his whole career

    before newcastle
    game starts 92
    subs 69
    assists 28
    goals 19

    since he came here
    game starts 55
    subs 34
    goals 14
    assist 13
the second season here he had 20 game starts and 7 subs but could only manage 4 assists and 3 goals

so that proves he is absolute rubbish.

  • 27 TurkishFan101 // May 3, 2014 at 7:28 PM

How can Marveaux be a “disgrace” when he does not play any games at all, and when he does he is the only person that assists the strikers.

He was the reason we were out of the mess last season otherwise we could of gotten relegated.

  • 28 validator // May 3, 2014 at 7:30 PM

Mincing Marveaux the french enigma, they seek him here they seek him there.

  • 29 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 7:30 PM

It was said that the Swansea board were trying appoint people like Monk to his coaching staff against his wishes and he fell out with them as a result, he said he wanted to spend money as in the premier league if you don’t spend you fall behind quickly

  • 30 davetoon // May 3, 2014 at 7:31 PM

If I was dreaming I would say Guus Hiddink, but more realistically I would say Laudrup.

Unless we can talk Hitzfeld out of retirement

  • 31 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 7:31 PM

and he said he wanted £20 million to spend

  • 32 manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 7:31 PM

toon kk thats my main point mate

all especially rotonda and catchy that are asking for the manager to be sacked will be saying the same next season lol

the owner needs to go or at the very least needs to change his whole outlook on the way he runs the club

  • 33 santonthenewmaldini // May 3, 2014 at 7:34 PM

Cant believe we won 3 nil that game we were really lucky to not concede although at the same time we could have scored more

This win only papers over the cracks to be honest with our fully fit first team we should have steam rolled them when we went 1 nil up instead we sat back as we always do !

The only part of the team that functions well under Pardew is the right hand side with Sissoko and Debuchy playing in their correct positions some of their interchanging and battling for the boy is great to watch apart from that the rest of the team is pretty poor

We should have had Arfa as the left winger with Haidara/Santon so we had a left hand side but that has never been properly tried with Pardew even though we have been crying out for service Shola even showed today that he can score goals from crosses if we actually put them in properly (was a peach of a cross from Sissoko)

Gouffran I have no idea where he was playing looked like he was playing in defensive mid for a bit with Remy wide left and then they both were nowhere in the game due to the position they were playing

Serious money needs to be spent but I think its going to be a struggle next year especially as Sunderland will be playing miles better football than us once Poyet gets his own players in expect more heavy beatings next season !

  • 34 manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 7:35 PM

Laudrup commented: “Unless we find a couple of hundred million pounds, I think last season we achieved nearly the maximum we can in terms of the table. There are always things you can improve, but there are not many higher positions we can look at. Even consolidating is going to be very difficult.”

  • 35 asenski // May 3, 2014 at 7:36 PM

    20 mil to spend?
    that’s only cabella i guess

  • 36 manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 7:37 PM

he spent 20 million and turned them into relegation candidates but that was because of the europa surely?

    not in his head lol

  • 37 daztoon // May 3, 2014 at 7:37 PM

You have to laugh Pardew” never been one to moan about injuries”.

The bloke never shuts up about em, its first on his list of excuses.

Get the sad excuse for manager out of our club.

  • 38 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 7:37 PM

Thats was taken from a comment from the local press down here where he said “If we are to compete at all levels we would need to spend £200 million”

and he was talking about competing at all levels, the league, domestic cup and champs league

  • 39 toonking // May 3, 2014 at 7:37 PM

    toon KK & manxpie
it does amaze me that pardew hasn’t choose to walk out of the club and maybe say to the fans something like “well i’ll give you all what you want so enjoy it with your great manager or should i say JFK type manager, bye ashley feeders”

if i was getting what he is getting i would straight away walk out and hey appeal for compensation for all this mess ashley has given him. he must have great courage.

  • 40 jimiley // May 3, 2014 at 7:37 PM

Terrible result. It means a bonus for Pardew and another 12 months of the same and then relegation. Glad I do not splash the cash anymore after 50 years!!!!

  • 41 manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 7:39 PM

also so why would he want to come here after you pointing out that he was upset about owner trying to put in a coach lol

  • 42 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 7:40 PM

Don’t know if he would come here, you asked who could come here and seeings as he’s out of work and wont cost anything in way of compensation he has to be a candidate

  • 43 davetoon // May 3, 2014 at 7:44 PM

but forgetting about expansive football – Pardew cant get his team to defend which is supposed to be his strength. We have had pretty much full strength defence except for occasional outages to Collocini and Debuchy but we have had ample cover yet we have conceded the record negative goal difference in the last half of the season

  • 44 wolfshead@toon // May 3, 2014 at 7:45 PM

3-0 and a farewell goal from shola happy days 🙂

  • 45 guvnor // May 3, 2014 at 7:45 PM

45000 fans give Pardew new hope for his job and his boss will have duly noted it. So its business as usual for Ashley.

  • 46 Blackley and Brownlie // May 3, 2014 at 7:45 PM

Pardew can’t take anything from that performance. Cardiff are awful and were unlucky not to get anything out of the game.

How can pardew moan that it was a difficult environment for the players when the crowd got right behind the team? They were more for the team than against pardew and mikey and that’s saying something because they hammered those two. He’s an arse.

  • 47 toonking // May 3, 2014 at 7:46 PM

laudrup will change nothing at all because he couldn’t cope with europa league at swansea unless they spend money so why would he do any good here.

it’s like i say about everton next season if martinez does well and has got the exact same team then as he has now then we can say he would do much better at newcastle, if he spends and doesn’t get into the top6 again then what will make him manage to come to a club who go a full season with money and only panic buy the europa season.

  • 48 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 7:46 PM

He got dogs abuse from the majority of fans, those who didn’t walk let their feeling be known with their voices, something has to give and soon

  • 49 manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 7:47 PM

jack i said who’s likely to come here under the circumstances

thats why i said not a chance lol

i seen someone said de boer today lol is that even remotely likely?

the club needs to get rid of ashley simple as then we can dream

  • 50 daztoon // May 3, 2014 at 7:47 PM

Do yer think Ashley would trust Pardumb with the tranfer kitty.

After all wasn`t it his idea to sell Routledge and bring in Obertan who has been such a success.

  • 51 Blackley and Brownlie // May 3, 2014 at 7:48 PM

The walk out was poorly supported. The jeering of pardew was far more effective and is clearly the most effective tool to get rid of him.

  • 52 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 7:48 PM

He’d be a better bet than sticking with Pardew as all he brings now is a toxic atmosphere

  • 53 toonluvva // May 3, 2014 at 7:48 PM

A previous poster suggested that Mr Ashley appoints someone with football knowledge onto the board.

In the time that he has owned the club, Mr Ashley has never shown the slightest interest in appointing a true football minded person, hence Kinnear, Wise, Jiminez and P45due.

There have been many opportunities for Mr Ashley to step up his game, but sadly he has passed them all up. Another close season will come and go without any meaningful management changes. Chances will again go begging to improve the set up.

This is my last season with NUFC unless I detect a step change in our attitudes toward progressing the team.

  • 54 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 7:50 PM

If Ashley has appointed himself to the board and is taking a more active role at the club while also releasing large sums of money to be spent (all of which has been reported to have happened) Then I seriously doubt he’ll allow Pardew to oversee the rebuilding on the side.

But this being NUFC anything can happen

  • 55 guvnor // May 3, 2014 at 7:50 PM

Jack yeah but he always gets that off the fans, this let Ashley know that the fans aren’t all United.

  • 56 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 7:51 PM

not like he had today, every time he took a step out of the dugout he was slaughtered

  • 57 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 7:53 PM

Seeings non of us know the exact reasoning behind Laudrup going then it’s impossible to say if he’d come here or not, the bigger question is whether Ashley going to put himself in the position where he needs to find a replacement

  • 58 guvnor // May 3, 2014 at 7:53 PM

One bloke was so irate his false choppers jumped out!

  • 59 kevymartins // May 3, 2014 at 7:54 PM

20 mil to spend? That’s only the Cabaye money where is the extra 40-60 million Premier League tv rights money going? Into his pocket.

We need cb’s strikers, wingers, God help us.

  • 60 manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 7:55 PM

toonluvva its promote from within remember (no more big payouts ala alardice keegan) so number 1 candidate is carver

  • 61 Blackley and Brownlie // May 3, 2014 at 7:56 PM

Can’t believe people think Laudrup is the answer.

  • 62 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 7:56 PM

As for those wanting De Boer, why not go all out and try for Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp etc etc as none have a chance in hell of happening under Ashley

  • 63 manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 7:58 PM

jack ok i’ll go on record saying there is no chance of laudrop coming here and i wouldn’t want him either as he is exactly the same as pardew infact worse

relegation form after spending money lol

  • 64 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 8:00 PM

I’d go for Malky Mackay myself as he has experience of working under a nutcase of an owner, plays good football and as long as Carr brings in the players he would do well here

  • 65 manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 8:00 PM

jack klopp would be amazing and then i woke up lol

i’m the same with transfer roumours now its become no fun at all and that is certainly down to 1 man!

  • 66 daztoon // May 3, 2014 at 8:00 PM

    Let`s hope not Mate.

No doubt he`ll enquire about Sidewell from Fulham if he get`s his wish.Pardumb being a big admirer of his.

    Sad days indeed !

  • 67 Spitfire // May 3, 2014 at 8:02 PM

Our three goals today – against a bottom of the table team- came from players who will not be here next season- Shola Taylor and Remy.

    God save us. Please

  • 68 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 8:03 PM

I’m not concerned anymore with transfers either, as for me whoever we can bring in will be ruined under Pardew and his 1984 approach to the game

  • 69 toon kk // May 3, 2014 at 8:03 PM

When Pardew took the managers job he must of agreed to a lot of terms and conditions.
No one would stick up for MA as much otherwise. If he had any decency he would walk.

Pardew is bringing a lot of shit onto himself through the strange decisions he keeps making on the pitch, but our team must also take 50% of the responsibility they aren’t earning there wages at the moment.

But MA must dig deep and take professional advice or relegation will undoubtedly happen eventually.

  • 70 JackButler // May 3, 2014 at 8:04 PM

Pardew goes for plodders and work horses, flair is something he wore in the 70’s

  • 71 Blackley and Brownlie // May 3, 2014 at 8:05 PM

It was worth the admission fee to see the crowd unleashing hell on Pardew every time he got up. More please, more.

Booing Mikey’s choice of manager is such an effective way to get at both mikey and Pardew. I don’t believe it’s detrimental to the team either. Bring it on.

  • 75 manxpie // May 3, 2014 at 8:07 PM

i cant say i seen much of cardiff when he was in charge tbf but i’d give him a chance but i bet most won’t because the mentality is still stuck in the pre ashley era

we need to get ashley out full stop and surely most supporters aren’t happy with him so all summer set up a way of getting it out to every toon fan to boycot the 1st few games

it won’t effect the team so much that early on plus sends out a massive message to the 1 person that needs to see it

todays protest was as much a shambles as ashleys running of the club imo

  • 76 toonking // May 3, 2014 at 8:07 PM

    JB 84

what then makes pardew so bad when the proven players we have had in his time cabaye, BA, tiote, debuchy and remy have all stayed good.

the ones who have not changed are those who were not any good to start with except cisse maybe.

also you say that if pardew was here next season the players would be ruined, well why would we be wanting to keep HBA and marvo when according to some he has been pardewed.

  • 77 Blackley and Brownlie // May 3, 2014 at 8:08 PM

for nearly the whole of this season the stadium has been as quiet as a libary.

the only things i have heard beening said most of the season is
HBA HBA HBA which the res of the team don’t even want starting.
the other thing i’ve been hearing is the crowd shouting shoot when ever tiote has the ball near the box which is like asking for us to waste a chance.
