It’s been fairly obvious since Mike Ashley sold Yohan Cabaye to PSG in January, to again demonstrate he has very little ambition for Newcastle United, that Loic Remy would not be staying on Tyneside after his loan spell ends.
Loic Remy – had a great season at Newcastle
Newcastle tried to sign the striker in January, and he has 14 goals in 27 appearances for Newcastle this season, but he refused to sign and said he would wait until the summer to see what happens.
There is a report in France Football, which states the obvious, that Newcastle will definitely not be the striker’s destination this summer, and that reminds us of a saying we had when we were young – tell us news not history.
Remy’s club QPR are in the Championship playoffs which start today, and he still has three years left on his deal, but he will be moving to a Champions League club, with the odds being that Arsenal will sign him.
Even if he doesn’t score today for Newcastle at Anfield, his record will be one goal in two appearances for Newcastle this season, and he’s been just great for us, and he seems such a good guy too.
But it probably is a sign of the diminishing status of Newcastle United under Mike Ashley over the last seven years, that we cannot sign Loic Remy permanently. 🙁

Comment #3this club is f*cked up!
pardew will get an extension to his contract for finishing top 10!
ameobi will get a new contract for scoring 2 PL-goals!
and de jong will be signed permanently after impressing in his 0 goal-loan spell!
if one of these things actually happens, i hope we get relegated again next season! as these pr*cks must leave our club!
we need a serious change from top to bottom and nothing will ever change as long as ashley, pardew, ameobi and so will be here

Comment #7This is scarcely a surprise is it?
We all knew deep in our black and white hearts that Remy would never ever sign for the shambles that is NUFC.
Au revoir, Loic. Thanks for the goals and the memories.
