Demba Ba Seriously Considering A Newcastle Return

Football Direct News is reporting that former striker Demba Ba is now seriously thinking about whether he should make a return to Newcastle.

Demba Ba – coming home?

Ever since Ba left Newcastle in January of last year he has struggled at Chelsea, but when he has been given games he has shown he can still score goals in the Premier League.

Demba Ba will tune 29 on Sunday, and he scored some crucial goals for Chelsea towards the end of the season, but Jose Mourinho remains unconvinced about the strikers he currently has at the London club, and will bring in some top new strikers this summer.

The news is that Newcastle are reaching out to Ba with a very good contract offer to return to Tyneside, and if Newcastle can pull this one off – it would be a coup – and something that certainly would please Newcastle fans, who haven’t had too much to be happy about all this year. 🙁

Demba Ba will seriously consider the offer and a potential move back to Tyneside, but it still has to be a long shot.

Other bigger clubs are also likely to be after the striker this summer, but Demba will know he will be playing in front of 52,000 passionate fans at St. James’ Park, and he has talked fondly of his short eighteen months at the club.

It would be just great if Newcastle can get Demba Ba back on Tyneside, where he was a huge favorite,  and scored 29 goals in his 58 appearances for Newcastle.

So far.

What do you think?

We won’t let him come back without removing that release clause and his “advisors” won’t let him do that.

Morinho has been giving him extensive coaching in the requirements of a Full Back and a Defensive Midfielder.

what you said is that players should run a mile and you also described the fans as being “the wonga wearing brigade” you are anti Newcastle and you do and have insulted the Newcastle fans, if you wish to apologise for that then do so, but don’t try to worm out of it as it’s there in black and white.

@Graeme: Ah good, so he should fit into our style of play easily enough.

How good is when “the source” is wrote in the first line. Now I can skip the whole article after the first three words.

I was 48 on tuesday, and yes Benny could have been, for me he has the talent of a Maradona, Cryuff or for the younger generation a Ronaldo or a Messi, but without the desire you will not succeed, the four above have worked bloody hard and had the desire, the fact that Benny may not be as petulant as he was in the past doesn’t mean that he has now got the effort or desire instilled into him.

Spoof…would probably be much easier if we could just get a new manager – one who has a philosophy and priories – one that fits the players we have and the kinf we seem to scout/buy.

…if he also fails then I’ll buy your view…to an extend 😉

spot on m8, I’d prefer him to a strong kneed low wage do gooder who is a waste of space on the pitch, which is what we will probably get.

I would agree m8, but I think it is more vital to get a new owner, and thank you for the birthday wishes, I will show them to my wife seeing as she forgot !

I don’t want him here. He made Pardew change his 433 formation because he wasn’t happy playing out wide even though the team was playing brilliantly. So Pardew being the abject bitch that he is changed the whole formation just to make this moron happy. And as soon as he got some interest from other clubs he left. And made Pardew look like a complete tool.

Ashton, taking Cisse out of the central position was a mistake, or it seemed to be at the time, but in fairness Cisse has had many chances since and has failed to take them, we had a season without a goal scorer and we nearly went down, Ba has and does score goals, sorry but its a no brainer, if we can get him then we should, simple as, as we can hardly rely on Cisse can we.

fkin <3 ba ….really fkin <3 him and tbh we still got a great profit from him as we signed him for nothing and got 7.5mil for him and 1 and 1/2 seasons of great performances and match winning goals !

would i take the same again from signing ba ? hehe ofc i would without a seconds doubt.
