Newcastle Want To Sign These Five Players Quickly

There’s a report in The Star today that Newcastle are after a number of players, and they are working hard to get them signed up as soon as possible.

jack colback sunderland

Jack Colback – free agent

Here are the five players Newcastle are said to be negotiating for right now,  in the hopes of getting them signed up quickly:

  • Wilfried Zaha, the 21 year-old Manchester United winger had a terrible first season at the Reds, but it will depend on new manager Louis Van Gaal on whether leaves the Manchester club in the summer – other clubs interested include top clubs Arsenal and Tottenham, but after his experience last season he could be willing to join the Magpies, and he played well for Cardiff at St, James’ Park in the league a few weeks ago.
  • Jack Colback seems to be attracting interest from a number of PL clubs, and maybe he doesn’t want to make the shift north of the River Tyne, where he was born in Killingworth. Jack’s a free agent at the end of next month and he’s a very good passer of the ball and a solid player. But we would rate our chances at only about 50-50 for getting him to Tyneside, but it’s clear the Geordie will be making a decision on his future soon.
And he could even surprise everybody by staying at Sunderland, who have reportedly offered him a good new deal only last week.
  • Pierre-Michel Lasogga of Hertha Berlin would be a great striker signing for Newcastle, and we have been linked with the German U21 International for a good few weeks now, and some reports have suggested we are even in the lead for his signature. Lasogga was on loan at Hamburg last season where he had a great season, and scored 13 goals in 20 appearances for the German side – and as we said, the 22 year-old would be a great signing for Newcastle United.
  • Steve Sidwell is now a free agent at Fulham who was signed for Reading by Alan Pardew back in 2003, and Steve at least has good Premier league experience, although he will be 32 in December. He would only be a squad player on Tyneside, but if we are really interested in the player we could get him signed up – although he has usually stayed in London during his football career, although he did spend three years at Aston Villa.
  • Ayoze Perez of Tenerife, who is only 20, will apparently sign for Newcastle once the French second division completes their league fixtures early next month. We will pay about £1.6M for him, and because of the low price, there’s not too much risk in this signing, and Perez could even turn out to be a good player for us in a year or two.

It would be very good if Newcastle can get some good players through the door quickly, and maybe one or two of these players could be signed by Newcastle before next weekend?

I didn’t say he will sell up, read my post @11

and concerning players I think he will go for free agents or players with valuations less than 2-3 million.

MA won’t be to concerned now when selling players with the new TV deal in place.

lets face it yes we finish 10th but with a small squad and played sh!t football but in MA eyes he will gamble this again with the same squad and he will hope to survive relegation but if not he will do a panic like he did last season

I think what most people don’t realize that MA can actually bid for any player now regardless of WC or transfer market re-opens.

you can actually bid for any player through out the whole season but they won’t join a team until the window open.

but the only downside to this though is that the player could get injured when after purchase

don’t say that I will weep if he is signed

I cant see any scenario where Ashley sells the club
we make money and he gets free advertising for him its win win

the rumour he wants 300 mill but how much would you have to pay to buy a business that makes 50-70 mill profit a year it would be more than 300 mill

    Colback is average.
    Zaha is useless.
    Lasogga is average.
    Sidwell is average.
Perez will rot in the reserves.

    Going backwards.

your not the only one mate lol

I don’t know ho much he’s willing to sell the club for but lets not forget what he did when the Man City owners came in with a offer.

they offered 300 million upfront when the club was up for 260 million but then MA wanted 350 million but I think this was with the loan he’s got here, then there were reports than they offered 350 million that would of cleared the debts but then MA put a massive 450 million then of course they pulled out.

there’s also been reports that at least 3 billionaires tycoons came in with offers but they pulled out due to MA wanted much more above the club valuation

this is the thing black and white he has had ample opportunity to sell if he wanted to
and yet here he still is

its time to start campaigning outside his shops asking people not buy his stuff
only then when we hit his shops will he consider selling up
you only have to stop 10% of people buying in his shops one Saturday the board of sd will have to lean on him
I would love to see him jumping up and down if we could pull it off

Starting to feel a little more optimistic about the Toon now, since Joes gone and that dreadful season is finally over. The fans have sent a clear message of what’s expected. There is by all accounts money to spend and an acknowledgement by the Club that there is a need to spend and a willingness to do so, and Ashley, despite continuing to make astonishingly injurious decisions from time to time, does seem to be pointing the Club in a forward direction. I can’t see us outside the top eight next season, unless Ashley has one of his contrarian fits, but surely the Joe and Cabs fiasco has coal boxed all that for a while at least.

mate I honestly don’t think that will make any effect on him, unless every county in the UK turned against him and also European.

he has his shops everywhere up and down the country and he’s also hit Europe, so just say there was a turmoil against his shops it would only be the South Tyneside & North East aiming at his shops whilst MA will still make millions a week in different county’s

it’s good to hear about optimism but don’t count on it.

lets see how us fans react when Pardew is given a target of above 15th, in fact I bet we won’t even hear what targets Pardew is given or where he has to finish next season

I think for me, im past caring, if we were to buy what would be the bare minimum to cement ourselves mid-table it’s only because we need to because of the outgoings.

I can’t get excited about this football club anymore, It’s gone because of this imbecile.

We only buy when we really have to, it’s not for a sign of ambition or trying to win anything. It’s obvious he couldn’t careless about trophies. It’s a shambles. He is only bothered about his own selfish agenda’s.

This season is just more of the same. The quality in depth will not be added to. The wage bill won’t be heightened to add those quality players to the ranks to push us on. Im tired of seeing an OK eleven at the start of a season then once injuries set in we struggle. We are all too predictable. Knowing we have this money to do it is soul destroying also.

Im simply not happy about the way this club is run. One transfer window making sure we are ok to keep us in the league is pathetic, because we all know that we will have another 2-3 quiet transfer windows after it. If we are mid-table he won’t sign anyone. You can see through him like a sheet of glass.

Yeah, well the fans have made their feelings known and now we definitely know the cash is there. Last season was the one where they balanced the books wasn’t it. This is the one where we have a surplus to spend, I think I’m right in saying that. Not optimistic, just more optimistic than I have been and more optimistic than the general tone of the blog I’d say, but who the f@ck knows, I’ll concede that.

TP, seeing the crowd howling with derision, albeit largely directed at the wrong person, might be grounds for at least a little optimism. It’s very positive the fans found their voice, I think. Plus the healthy state of the clubs books. If the fans can maintain the pressure and help get those assets on the pitch, I think Newcastle can potentially turn a corner. Maybe just slide the Toon onto the back burner for the time being and enjoy the World Cup and see what the close season ultimately brings.

Even though the boos were directed at Pardew at the game, they were very much Aimed at Ashley because there is no other way to make your feelings known to Ashley. Pardew has to take it because he is the mouth piece, the go to person. To get to Mike it has to go through Pardew.

The boos were a result of the regime as a whole not just a mediocre manager. They are all to blame in their own ways but Ashley is causing more damage than Pardew for me. The way he runs this club is shocking.

    Im personally glad it happened.

    Manx,

Ashley will always be the man to take the blame for me, I couldn’t careless about Pardew. He is just doing what he is told and dealing with what he has been lumped with.

The squad is a mid-table team, the manager is just a mid-table manager. Until the level is set higher with ambition he can carry us through this shi*e. I know if we keep players fit enough and if he has a decent eleven we will hit the top 8-10 like he is supposed to do.

It’s a results business for me, i don’t need pretty tippy tappy football.

I want to see blood spilt, passion and determination first and foremost with anyone who puts on that shirt. It’s lacking with these French for me.

toon prodigy aye its very good but if all the aim was at ashley pardew doesn’t matter

if ashley sacked pardew right now there would no doubt be great pluadits to him for doing so and thats where its wrong and the cycle starts again but this time with a worse 1 than him

i’d have my bet on o’leary and what would that achieve?

    exactly the same no doubt

i still stand by the fact that pardew has done a good job under the circumstances but he is part of the problem but certainly isn’t the main problem

    Manx,

Your last paragraph is exactly my thinking on the subject also. These unwanted records and losing streaks always come when we are missing key players for extended periods of time. With adequate back-up and a bit of forward thinking by the owner they simply wouldn’t of been anywhere near as bad.

It always has been and will continue to be my outlook while Mike Ashley is running this club and hanging his managers out to dry each window.

true as i’ve said as soon as i seen marv who was given a chance (and i’m sure he must’ve been told to show more desire) just stop after losing the ball on the half way line that was it for me on him

debuchy shows wat it takes to be a top player not just in talent but teamwork and desire
sissko n gouff show the same

but arfa shows his talent now and again but no desire or teamwork

never a top player and with that attitude is never gonna be 1

hiadara i think will make it tho but we definately need to broaden our scouting and actually buy players for positions we actually desperately need like wingers lol

dalglish is still the worst manager we’ve had since i’ve supported us but the stats don’t show that
so is souness again the stats don’t show it

and unfortunatley it will only get worse with ashley simple as that

I like Gouffran’s work ethic, i also like Sissoko’s they can run all day. Haidara still looks new to this league. Im just not 100% sold on if they have the heart and bottle to play for such a club.

They have had spells where they have disappeared during alot of the games. That was their first full seasons though. We will see next yr.

I like Debuchy. Quality player he is, I think he will be away either this summer or next unfortunetly.

i can see debuchy staying this season unless a silly offer comes in but that could be likely since psg have obviously learnt from there massive fine!!

You can feel like your banging your head against a brick wall sometimes. I just laugh at it now like.

The only way i’d be so dismayed about a manager was if he had been backed fully and he had the chance to build his own team. If those unwanted records had still been broken then i’d want him out.

For me though, i’ll always see Ashley as the problem. The lack of ambition and backing of the managers will always remain my focal point. Until that changes and we raise the level of ambition I couldn’t careless who manages the first team to be honest. The problems will remain.
