It seems that Ayoze Perez has completed his medical at Newcastle, and we assume Newcastle will announce the official signing of the 20 year-old Tenerife winger some time today.
Peter Beardsley with Ayoze Perez yesterday
And there have been photos circulated on Twitter of him at Newcastle, and Sky Sports yesterday also reported he would be on Tyneside to complete his medical and sign along the dotted line.
Perez cost Newcastle €2M (£1.6M), and he is expected to be part of the Development squad at Newcastle, which is probably why he’s been photographed with Peter Beardsley.
Here are some more of those photographs.
The next signing is expected to be that of Jack Colback, as a free agent from Sunderland.
Comments welcome.

Comment #2Check out beardo bustin them whiteys with the shocking webs!
Apparently you can tell a lot by a man by what shoes he wears and he’s clearly not invested in a new pair for some time possible since his playing days the scruff! Just goes to show how stuck in the past he is 😉
You’d think with his boss owning a sports company he would have the foresight to aquire a new pair embezzled with SD signage in every available place so’s to keep him happy at photo shoots…..naughty beardo fatty will be ever so disappointed!

I think Ashley is looking for the next Ronaldo..this player is very good at his level at Tenerife..prem might be a bit hard on him for a season or two ..we are buying for the future with this player ..but he might hit the ground running ..he’s got all the tools,. really pacey . fast,. Skilful.

Comment #12I feel sorry for the lad, a couple of seasons in the reserves, maybe on the subs bench in the cup games we don’t want to win, brought on the last 20 minutes to replace the right back or a defensive midfielder, then quietly pushed out the door saying he’s not good enough

IF we could get just 4 or 5 of this list, it wil be great transfer window.
Tom Ince
Toivonen
Diouf
Menez or Kaboul
Gomis (we already going for him)
I love to have Menez, Eto’o, Pirlo, Matuidi but I don’t think we can affor them and even if we can, it’s very very small chance they want to join NUFC.

As I am already the OBBS I’m afraid I’m going to have to politely decline your kind offer as my current status keeps me somewhat busy although since one prominent twa…..blogger has departed my workload has declined slightly but there is still plenty of bullshit out there to deal with

Comment #24So, a hint of action coming. Not sold on Perez, a marginally better goals to games record than Xisco in the Spanish Segunda last year. Needs a lot of work I imagine for him to become a good Prem player. He looks to have the beginnings of a talent, but the fact it needs nurturing and developing means I doubt he will be worthwhile. Sad that I have lost all faith in the coaching staff for the senior levels at the club.
Colback, not stellar, but okay. Gomis pretty poor if he is to be our main man, but beggars and choosers comes to mind, and if he is to be the one, then better that he is in early. Cabella, will believe it when I see Nicollin saying that he has signed, and not before.

Comment #25Out of those three, I’d take Redmond. Snodgrass is okay, Guti squad replacement maybe? No to Weimann.
