Jack Colback Interview – Video – I’m Delighted

Here is a portion of Jack Colback’s first interview with nufcTV, after he finally signed for Newcastle yesterday, and he talks about following the club since he was a young boy, and he remembers well when Newcastle beat Manchester United 5-0 in 1996, when the great Kevin Keegan ran the club.

At the time it was four days before Jack turned 7 years old, and he says it’s going to be a proud moment when he finally dons that famous black and white strip of Newcastle United.

The longer interview is available if you have a subscription to nufcTV – here it is and it’s an excellent interview.

Well, have not had much of a chance to comment here for a while, but i am shocked to see that, one month ish into this window, and we have already done better than the last two combined.
If we end up with Colback, Perez, Gomis, winger, creative mf and a CB, we might just have enough to do well next season.

    Repost :
That season we nearly went down it showed the danger of undercooking in the transfer market as did last January, if such a collapse in form can happen to a team that finished fifth gawd knows what can happen to a team that finished second bottom in 2014, with a profit in and around 45/50M this year surely we’re going to spend some of it.

I knew you would talk abt us when I wrote that lies part 🙂
Let Colback retaliate and say something if they are putting out lies.

Yeah Gomis could go to Turkey IF they offer him good wages and a long contract. Thats exactly what he is waiting for. But he wont go to russia or norway..
WE ARE DESPERATE FOR A STRIKER..so Im inclined to believe a figure of 65-85 but a 2 yr deal. That gives us more time to low ball other strikers..

The playmaker aspect worries me. I dont think we are getting one this summer. Maybe Jan if we are in deep trouble..

Good stuff. Although if Pardew fills his team with runners without players that will contribute goals and assists, then we will again struggle to score.

The team should be be packed with players who can provide a good number of goals and assists throughout the team. You can’t just stick a forward in there and expect goals when he has little service.

Remy got Pardew out of the crap because his pace and range of shooting meant he didn’t have to rely on team play as much as others.

Team play is the most important element of a good team as Atletico have showed. Even when Costa and Koke were out, the commentator said their teamwork shone brightly and hardly let it affect them. When Remy was out for us we collapsed because he was relied upon to nick points in a poor team. That isn’t good enough.

I hope so, but I am less bothered about how much we spend and more about the quality we get in. More often than not they are directly linked, but not always. I don’t care if Ashley makes money from the club, as long as we are equipped to compete and have a good season.

As it is, I think we will sign players, I’m just not sure it will be the ons required.

Colback has no need to retaliate. Poyet has said in the past that the club didn’t want to talk new deals while they could still go down. It is no different then the numerous contradictions and lies that come out of our place.

There is plenty of money in the 2 Turkish clubs linked, o that shouldn’t be an issue. Good ol’ Willie Mckay said he was in advanced talks with an ambitious manager and an ambitious chairman. Does that sound like Pardew and Ashley, or Redknapp and Fernandes?

We are desperate for a striker, which is the only reason I’d take Gomis. If we weren’t desperate, I wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole.

As for creativity, I don’t see us getting Cabella now, and Grenier may well be out of our reach so I’d look at other options now. I think we will get someone in, even if it is a stop gap loan deal.

Let’s keep ben arfa. Sign taarabt, Douglas, ravel morrison, joey Barton and cattermole. Then put them all in a small room with no food or water. The man who survives gets fed to tiote to empower him.

Cabella will leave Montpellier this summer. He wants to, and has been told he can, other clubs are supposedly interested so it is just a matter of time. If we don’t get him in the summer, no chance we will get him next Jan.
