Newcastle have a number of players who need to be sold this summer, and quite a few Frenchmen such as Sylvain Marveaux, Gabriel Obertan and Hatem Ben Arfa will be leaving the club – so maybe Newcastle can do some player exchange deals this summer.
M’Baye Niang – French U21 forward/winger
And there’s news on Italian web-site Tuttosport, that AC Milan are really interested in taking Italian left-back Davide Santon back home to Italy, and they are willing to trade some players for him.
Newcastle owner Mike Ashley would want at least £10M for Davide, before he would be willing to sell the 23 year-old, who is already settled on Tyneside with his Geordie girlfriend and their beautiful one year old daughter Sienna.
Tuttosport are reporting the Italian giants are willing to offer both Kevin Constant and M’Baye Niang in a player exchange deal for Davide – and Newcastle should at least consider that offer.
Niang is a 19 year-old winger/forward/striker (take your pick), who is already a French U21 International and he stands 6′ tall and joined Milan two years ago from Caen, and he could be one for the future.
He’s already played 33 times for Milan, and while at Caen he played 30 times with 5 goals and 43 assists for the French club, so this lad could be a useful player for the Magpies.
Niang joined Montpellier on loan in January and played 22 times for them and scored 5 goals and had 2 assists, and he helped the French club just avoid relegation last season.
However, he also got into some personal trouble, when had an accident in his Ferrari, and crashed into a number of cars and also a tree came speeding towards him – and for that he received a suspended 18 month sentence.
Kevin Constant – AC Milan left back
We’re not so upbeat on Kevin Constant, who can play both in defense and midfield, but usually plays at left back, and he joined AC Milan two years ago from Genoa, so he could be a direct replacement for Davide, and he’s played 21 times for the Guinea National side.
Kevin played 26 times last season for Milan, and in total he has made 57 appearances for the Italian giants, and he also stands 6′ tall.
We like the idea of bringing in M’Baye Niang, so maybe Newcastle could do a player exchange for him, and get some cash from AC Milan in addition to the 19 year-old.
And with Newcastle needing to unload a number of players this summer, part exchange deals would seem to be attractive to the Magpies – if we can get the right players as part of the deal.
