Newcastle Hopes Fading On Pierre-Michel Lasogga

8:02 am, Friday, June 20th, 2014 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 5 Comments

There’s a report in German Magazine Bling this morning that Hertha Berlin fans have posted messages on Pierre-Michel Lasogga’s Facebook page – and they are unhappy that he wants to join Hamburg instead of signing an extension of his contract at current club Hertha Berlin.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga

Pierre-Michel Lasogga – has chosen Hamburg – but no deal yet

Many messages were placed on his Facebook page such as “Football hooker!”, “Traitor” and “You were our favorite. Now we hate you! ”

So what do we make of this?

It seems he has definitely chosen Hamburg of the three clubs he was to choose between, but there is still no deal that has been forged between Hertha Berlin and Hamburg for the 22 year-old striker.

And the Chronicle has a report out today about the current situation, and Hamburg are apparently due for some funds from investor Klaus-Michael Kuehne, and if this happens they should have the money to do the deal.

Hamburg’s General Manager Oliver Kreuzer wants to get Lasogga signed as soon as possible, but Klaus-Michael Kuehne isn’t sure of the management structure at the club and may want to change the coach – and even the General Manager – if he make the investment.

It seems Kuehne isn’t convinced the current coach Mirko Slomka is the man for the job – this  is what he has said:

“I think it would be good if the money would be used to keep Lasogga”. “As a private citizen and HSV fan, I can only say that I do not believe in this coach.”

“My personal opinion is the trainer must be replaced.”

So there is some uncertainty at Hamburg, but the bottom line is that Lasogga wants to move to Hamburg, and the General Manager Kreuzer and investor Kuehne both ant to sign him.

And we don’t even know what would be his second choice if he doesn;t get the Hamburg deal – maybe he would even to stay at Hertha Berlin.

We suppose there is a chance that Newcastle can still get the  job done, but it’s not looking good for Newcastle.

With the new news today in Blind,  it looks like he has definitely chosen Hamburg, and there was  some uncertainty about that yesterday.

And the Chronicle has mentioned that Newcastle will not increase their wage offer to try to tempt Lasogga to Newcastle.

Why is that no surprise at all to us? :(

Comments welcome.

The last thing I needed this morning was to read the comments of a stupid Welsh troll with learning difficulties and a mental age of around twelve, why some of you give him the time of day is beyond me.

‘..So what do we make of this?..’

Inviting a player and his mum to Newcastle for a looksee may not be such a good idea.

Whilst in Germany his mum can look after him and still do the housework and shopping but it’s a bit more difficult when he is on Tyneside and all the fleshpots and she stuck at home with the pots and pans.

I don’t know why but I’m actually finding this funny, but I do. I guess it’s the part of me that wants Ashley to fail miserable and to give us up.
Or perhaps it’s the part of me that thinks Pardew can’t develop or use players at all.

People say Louis Nicollin is crazy. I’d say he loves his club, as for Ashley… now he is the deluded one!

In fairnes to NUFC, personal terms is one area we rarely struggle with unless the player is being highly unreasonable, much like Gomis. No way on this planet is he worth a £70K a week wage packet.
We don’t know what NUFC has offered Lasogga, but I doubt it’d be so little he’s refused it out of hand.

if he didn’t join Newcastle that would be his decision
he is good , but he is not the first or the last striker
    we can get .
