Newcastle Want Arsenal Striker On Loan

Joel Campbell has shown in the World Cup this summer that he is a more than a decent striker for Costa Rica, and it looks like Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger may loan out the striker next season again – to give him more first team experience.

Joel Campbell – 22 year-old Costa Rica and Arsenal striker

And the news is that Everton and Newcastle are two English clubs interested in taking the striker on loan – Newcastle because we have to somehow replace the three strikers who have left this summer, and Everton because they are trying to replace their striker Lukaka, who was on from Chelsea last season.

Campbell’s agent is Roger Lacey and he admitted that some Italian clubs were interested in taking the 22 year-old striker:

“Are Italian teams interested? Yes,” “There are several clubs who are in the top band that have made inquiries about the boy.” “We are talking about a great player here, who has captured everyone’s attention.”

Campbell’s future will be decided at the end of the World Cup by Arsenal,  but it does seem that he will be sent out on loan again, and maybe to a Premier League club this time, so that manager Arsene Wenger can judge how well he does in the top league in England.

Campbell spent last season on loan at Olympiakos, and before that he spent a season on loan at Lorient and then at Real Betis, and it’s not surprising Newcastle would be interested in taking Joel on loan for next season.

West Ham and Southampton are two other English clubs said to be interested in taking the Coast Rica striker.

In his career so far Campbell has played 111 first team games for various clubs, and has scored 17 goals and has 18 assists.

He would be a great loan signing for us for next season.

What do you think?

    Doubt it.

He could be starting for Arsenal, after the way he’s played in this world cup.

17 goals in 111 games, is hardly the form needed as our sole striker to start the season – unless FCB is planning on winning a trophy the following year, winning the Championship to get back in the Prem!!

Would rather have a permanent signing through door but if it gonna mean goals galore, then take what we can!

what’s thought on Fellini if he gonna be moved on?

Arsenal would never trust Pards with one of their decent young players. We would destroy his confidence and send him back useless. Look at our record with young strikers. And Pards is a defensive specialist anyway. I mean we only surrendered 59 goals last season so that should be obvious. The 5-5 formation is perfect for us so we don’t need a loan striker at all. Harrumph!

G2 – Why limit the comment to just young Strikers?? It doesnt matter where they play, he will screw them up.

It is a well known fact that all top rate strikers should be superb FB’s as well.

This is what we were all talking about, Mikey boy. Had we have been reinvesting money, we wouldn’t be needing to loan players from teams who should, realistically, be looking over their shoulders at us.

With Shola gone who do people reckon will take our penalties (if we get any that is)? It’s slim pickings as far as I can see. Benny probably won’t play for Pards. It’s actually difficult to think of somebody who could take them for us.:(

I thought it was gona say Nicolas Bendther I was about to get a gun to shoot myself then I seen the Jol Campbell.

You would actually rather have no signings than sign Bendthner.

That’s a good point Graeme mate. Pards does have the magic touch. Look how much Benny has improved. And Mbiwa. And we never see Bigi anymore. And Santon has pretty much collapsed. Brilliant work Pards.

Arsenal want Debuchy – we could do with a striker.
Ok Wenger you pay £12m for Debuchy and we get loan of Campbell.
    Deal or no deal ?
Is Charnley up to the negotiation or has he caught Kinnearitis disease and can’t do the business ?
    We shall see.

Never mind lads. Pards is going to show the world that the 5-5 formation is the way of the future. No more attacking. Focus on defense. Frustrate the opposition. 38 draws of 0-0. Brilliant.

Never buy an unknown player off the back of a good tournament .

Campbell has a poor record in league football so I would stay well clear of him .

It’s sickening that we once had strikers like Shearer, Ferdinand, Tino, Owen etc Always had a tradition of a class forward who will score goals now we have become this joke of a club that is getting destroyed by a scumbag who is here to make money and advertise his tatty shop, Now we are trying to get a clubs 5th choice striker on loan, It’s depressing supporting this club it really is.

Why loan him ,do we never learn,if he comes on loan and he is great ,have to pay more money and we won’t so why not just make a good offer and state it’s in the terms of the Debussy deal coming off ,it just smells of Remy all over again and what happend he moved to abother club where the owners are nice people and genuinely love football

I have told you before Ashley has absolutely no idea what he is doing! He thinks £8M is a great deal for Debuchy because he is on high wages 😉

Then every year we outspent Ashley and make him look like just someone we like to slate in public for been as first class a1 grade numpty looking tight twat
We can pretend he’s not there it’s not likely he is gonna pipe up and grow a pear
