Remy Cabella was born in 8th March in Ajaccio, Corsica which is part of France and he has an Italian father and a Corsican mother.
Remy Cabella – will sign for Newcastle United over weekend
Cabella joined the Montpellier Academy at the age of 14 and his first professional contract at Montpellier in 2009 and in the 2010–2011 season he was sent on loan to Arles-Avignon, where he scored 3 goals in 17 appearances for the Ligue 2 club.
In 2009 he suffered a cruciate ligament injury to his right knee during training in September and was ruled out for the season – and that;s the injury our own Ryan Taylor has suffered over the last two years – Ryan’s had two ACL injuries in fact.
Cabella made his debut for the club in 2011 and since then he has played 115 games with 28 goals and 18 assists for them, and has been a regular starter over the last three seasons.
Remy played 17 times for the France U21 side with four goals, and he was initially named on the stand-by list for France’s 2014 World Cup squad.
And on 27th May of this year he made his international debut when he came on as an 80th minute substitute for (of all people) Yohan Cabaye in a 4–0 win over Norway in a friendly match.
And then on 6th June, he was brough into the French squad for the World Cup when Clement Grenier and Franck Ribery had to withdraw.
In the 2011-2012 season Cabella was part of the team that won the French Ligue 1 for the first time ever and he played 34 times and scored 6 goals in that season.
The 24 year-old is expected to sing sometime over the weekend for Newcastle in a deal said to be worth 12M.
