The following policies should be taken into consideration before commenting:
An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Comment #81@Tsunki What I ment was I wouldn’t want to see the club milk it for there benefits like how liverpool do. People want to move on and not be reminded every match what happened.
What happened at Liverpool was a tragedy no doubt but every single season it’s all you hear about.
Like Man untied lost there team to a plane crash and just moved on.

Comment #82By implying that wellbeck has potential like sturridge he was indeed comparing the two, although I agree it’s similar situations but one showed potential whereas one didn’t so my point was valid

Mu bought van persie for £24m when he only has one yr left in his contract..
Nasri – same for 24m
Same goes for tony kroos..£20M
We bought cabaye for £5m,1yr left
ozil same yr ,,£10m to RM from WB..
So can we conclude if a player has left with 1yr contract, his resale value will be
Small?a bit strange to me…

Comment #84Tads yes I am sure of it and rightly so. Just saying it’s a far wider issue so care needs to be taken in case it looks introverted. Apparently. One Australian family who lost someone on the previous ML Disaster now have even more family to mourn on this one. Plus I gather that there were quite a few children, some flying unattended. It’s hard to contemplate how people can justify using sophisticated weaponry only owned by major military powers to murder completely uninvolved innocents. This is where we are living these days. Hope I’m not sounding political here but it’s far bigger than football of course, it affects families extended across many generations from all over the world. Those two lads alone leave many, many loved ones behind.

Sorry, is that a response to something I have said or are you asking me a question? I’m going to assume it is a question.
I think you mean sale value rather than resale value, but essentially if a player has 1 year left on his contract, when it runs down to 6 months he is free to talk to any club he wants to and agree a contract somewhere else for the following season without a fee having to be paid.
Very few clubs are happy to lose valuable assets for free, particularly when in the cases you mention they go to clubs that will be rivalling you either in Europe or the league. So they are ready to accept lower than normal bids to recoup some money.
Cabaye had a release clause, rather than being any other reason. If he was in the last year it is just coincidence in that case.

Comment #89All of you who are putting Siem De Jong in this centre forward role are absolutely clueless!… Would you have put Nolan up front on his own when he was here? Very similar style players! Siem De Jong would love to play just behind (in the hole) a pacey striker! My first bchoice by an absolute mileee would be Seydou Doumbia… Although PEA, Hernandez, Lukaku, Benteke would all be great signing and improve our squad massively!

Again not sure where you’re getting your information from but ferguson rated him very highly.
Now as far as saying I’m making an idiot of myself you’re only saying that because I said you looked like a fool.
It’s what people do on here. Twist a few words, throw them back and say “so it’s you who are the fool”. You know, that sort of bollocks.
I don’t mind anyone disagreeing with me but there’s ways to do it. Jumping in and trying to imply 2 sensible bloggers are crazy for thinking welbeck would be a good addition is not cool.
You don’t rate him. Ferguson, Hodgson, me and LGU do so there’s nothing much more to discuss.

Comment #92As for Wellbeck Sturrdige. Imho there is 2 sides to that coin my friends.
Imo Welbeck is not good enough but saying that I do not believe Strudigge will be next season either. No more SAS Suarez carried that lfc team and Sturrdige at times. I think his form will drop drastically next season if they do not replace Suarez with someone Sturrdige can feed off…Liverpool close to remy and I can tell you right now Sturrdige will no feed of Remy there cut from the same cloth you need a striker who can throw is weight around playing with Sturrdige.

Comment #95Mr Funk yes I did and I am actually pretty familiar with most of those incidents. They boil down to a choice of political squabbles or incompetence. At the moment, the best you can say in this case is that badly trained personnel were in charge of highly expensive and sophisticated weapon systems capable of downing a commercial airliner cruising at 30k feet, or it was a political statement. Who knows what it’s going to be? But accident or ‘misunderstanding’ it wasn’t.

I disagree about Sturridge. He’s not a go it alone match winner like Suarez, but if you create chances for him, hevwintblet you down.
At the beginning of last season whilst Suarez was still banned from episode two of his Ravenous escapades, Sturridge carried Liverpool. They had all those 1-0 wins where he scored the only goal.
I think he’ll flourish being more of the main man and with the other new signings he might score even more now.

Yes I’m aware he’s the England manager, the one who got his squad selection wrong and saw us limp out the WC with two losses and a draw……and played Welbeck on the wing
Sorry pal not for me, we’re do you get your info from btw in regards to ferguson? Because he seem to lose all confidence in him after Welbeck signed his £80k a week contract and went on to finish the season with a worse scoring record than Shola

No I don’t know ferguson personally but I’ve read his book and on it he praises welbeck and mentions him with a few other players as who he sees as the future of Man U. The ones with the potential to better and better.
I’m afraid I can’t give you it word for word as I’m clever but not that clever.
And as for “go on admit it he’s crap don’t be embarrassed” or whatever you said. Do you honestly think I’d come on and post ‘I think welbeck would be a good signing’ and then because some fool tells me he’s wouldn’t, I’m going to change my mind.
But you know that and again you’re not giving anything back but dross and looking for ways to win an I winnable argument.
You think welbeck is rubbish and me, ferguson and Hodgson don’t.
That is the only thing up for discussion. So swearing and getting uppity won’t change it.
Unless you have another point?

Ethiotoon insists that we should buy grenier instead of a striker then use SDJ up front all the time. SDJ will occasionally play as a false nine, no doubt, but ethiotoon thinks he will be our 15 goal striker. He even suggested cabella should play up front.

Comment #117Yeah my point being he’s shite….that clear enough? Overpriced, overhyped and fools believe it like yourself “because of what you’ve read” have you actually seen him play? Clearly not as he’s utter dross dressed up because of who he plays for
When did he “bang” in all these goals you speak of? Like tads said he’s never hit double figures so are you lying to suit your argument?
Difference of opinion is good as is debating on a football blog but to try to belittle someone as they share a different view is quite frankly sad and shows the weaknesses in your argument….like I said it’s irrelevant
