If there was ever a realistic chance of bringing Demba Ba back to Newcastle that has disappeared, as he has signed on at Besiktas in Turkey, and got a hero’s welcome from the fans, when he arrived at his new club.
Demba Ba – while at Newcastle
Besiktas finished 3rd in the Turkish Super League last season behind only Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, and they paid a low fee of £4.7M for the 29 year-old, although his wages are likely to be high.
Demba Ba moved to Newcastle from West Ham as a free agent in June of 2011, and he was a great success at the club for 18 months, and Ba scored 29 goals in 58 appearances before he left us 18 months ago.
But it was a bad move for the Senegal International to make when he joined Chelsea, and he was never a regular starter at the club, and last season manager Jose Mourinho made it clear Ba did not have a future at Chelsea.
It was always going to be difficult for the Magpies to attract Ba back to Newcastle.

Comment #2The Andy Carroll story is going the rounds again. Why dont we just leave this one to history & move on although nothing would surprise me at Toon these days, any more signings & we’ll all think we’re dreaming.

Comment #4Getting Carroll back would be great imo,he,s unplayable when he,s on his game.
Trouble is tho,he,s injury prone,so best leave him alone.
