Alan Pardew has just announced his side for the pre-season friendly game against Huddersfield Town, and it’s a first game for our new Dutch signing Daryl Janmaat, and Remy Cabella and Facundo Ferreyra are also in the starting line-up.
This team has the look of a first team eleven for Newcastle, and Alan Pardew will need to get players like Krul, Janmaat, Cabella and Ferreyra some playing time before the Manchester City game a week on Sunday.
The defense looks like the one that will probably start our first Premier League game, with Sissoko and Colback in central midfield, and Gouffran and Cabella out on the wings with strikers Riviere and Ferreyra up front.
Cheick Tiote is given a rest and isn’t on the bench tonight, and will probably start against Real Sociedad on Sunday at St. James’ Park, but a number of players on the bench have played really well in pre-season.
