Newcastle 1 Huddersfield 1 At The Half – Video

The score at the half is 1-1 with Manu Emmanuel having scored a good goal after 16 minutes, but Majewski equalized after 36 minutes in what is a fairly even game, but the Newcastle defense was again at fault for Huddersfield’s goal..

We really really should be beating Huddersfield. Especially with this strong side out.

From last thread: I wonder if Saylor is still looking forward to City.

57% possession at this moment in time… I hate to put a downer on things, but we won’t be getting that kind of possession against Premier League sides next season.

Creating chances. We just need one of the forwards to hit some kind of form and we should be fine.

Do we have an example of 1 style of play… unable to beat inferior sides, whilst only being able to have a game plan when we are deemed the inferior side.

Inferior against the Superior, and, unable to be superior against the inferior.

    Doooooomed! (Under Pardew)

    Beatroll.

    I suppose i was a bit vague 😀 …….

If we can create chances the way we have tonight, we will be fine if one of the forwards hits form.
Obviously this is a freindly so we should not react strongly either way, but its good to see some kind of tactical plan.

I think we still need that attack minded signing, either CAM or ST. We seem to run out of ideas in most matches.

Ideally ST, CAM and CB will be signed to iron out most of the problems in the team.

De Jong missing is a problem and he seems to be a bit injury prone, we need cover.

Problem pure and simple is that our defence is not good enough and our ball retention is non existent.

You can survive by having one and not the other, If you have neither your liable to get a beating, which we do often.

Doesn’t matter about chances created/conversion rate if when you score your always likely to concede.

If teams go 1-0 up against us it is more or less won already. If we go 1-0 up we look like we may still get beat.

This hasn’t changed in nearly 4 years. That’s Pardew that is, no doubt.

Can’t keep the ball, concede to easily and offer no attacking threat 90% of the time.

That is NUFC. No matter how many creative midfielders we have or top strikers.

We either need a new defence or a new coach.

They cant really moan though. They moaned when we won last week and on sunday because the opposition had most of the ball. This time we are losing while having the lions share of posession and creating the most chances. If they still moan then they are hypocrites

Taylor factor. He comes on and we concede against the run of play. We have a first choice defense of janmaat colo willo haidara
Then we have sub standard back up, and given that the first choice back 4 isnt exactly world class colectively, even if we do keep the ball, the opposition always have a chance when they win the odd tackle. We REALLY need a CB at least.

    Moaners??

Whatever reason would they have to be the least bit unhappy about.

We have an excellent team who play attacking and exciting passing football.

Our movement off the ball and our ball retention is amazing and is only surpassed by our fantastically drilled defense.

Ok enough sarcasm. On a positive note I am really very excited about the excellent signings and we are now only 2/3 players max and a real manager away from being an extremely competitive unit.

Haha nice we chip there… Perez was brought down. Grabed the ball and hit the free kick fast and Cabella chipped the keeper with a nice dink.

2-2 jesper. We seemed to be in control. Their first goal was a 20 yard corker (to equalise after a good move down the right by cabella, goofy and rivvy to score) and they went ahead as soon as Taylor came on, against the run of play. Cabella chipped the keeper to earn the draw.
