The new shirt can be pre-ordered on Thursday, 7th August at 9:00 am. The shirt will go on general release on Thursday, 14th August.

Managing Director Lee Charnley, who has done so well in this summer’s transfer window,  had this to say:

“The release of our famous home shirt is always highly-anticipated amongst players and supporters alike so we are very pleased to share the new design with them.”

“PUMA have worked tremendously hard to deliver an outstanding kit and we look forward to the team wearing it with pride over the coming season.”

Ruth How, head of marketing at  PUMA UKIB said:

“Our promise to the Club and supporters was to deliver improved performance and we’re extremely proud to have achieved that.”

“As well as being a striking design for all fans to enjoy wearing, our revolutionary PWR ACTV technology, which was used by eight teams at the FIFA World Cup this summer, will be a great addition to the players’ shirts for the new season.”

The shirt had been leaked on the internet a few weeks ago and it’s anew style with quite a lot of black in it.

Rob Elliot looks quite miserable. Might be because with the acquisition of Darlow from Forrest the writing is on the wall…

It’s like they’ve got a black tea towel round their necks. Or a black bib for when they’re eating.

Why do they insist on making footy shirts skin tight now a days, do clubs not analyse their fanbase!?!

Hate the new kit which is a shame,

according to those squad numbers that leaves 5 for a centre half and 12 for lacazette 😀

Jeff,How can you say I know nothing about a game I have followed for over 35 years, and because I respond to the posts of people supporting Ashley does not mean all my posts are about his neglect of our club.

richyg01…. Thats due to all the cooling and performance technology they have in the shirts. The average price replicas don’t have that stuff built in and are normal fitting.

    Lol this is awful….

Silver lining with Ben Arfa is if he put this skin tight top on we would see everything…..

He looked a tad chubby last season

Richy, they’re more streamlined and have slightly less wind resistance. I think they are good being skin tight, albeit this design looks like they’ve got a shaving mat ready for a spruce up and haircut.

Every post you do reveals your lack of football knowledge .
You’re a fake fan and you’ve been outed.
Take it on the chin it doesn’t make you a bad person , just a sad person

The supporters shirts are usually not skin tight, thankfully! 😀

12 is available too. Often a spare full-backs number. Richards and a new cb on thier way? 😀 although lacazette will need a number!

I don’t think the new kit is too bad.

    The bad points:

    Wonga logo
Big black panel on the back.
    Keeper Jersey

It’s not awful but it socks me how manufacturers manage to mess up such a simple directive – Black and white stripes.

What’s with these big black patches? Unless their squad number is going to be between the club badge and puma logo the space looks stupid and purposeless.

I’m a fan of the GK kit though.

I like it. Definitely looks better on than it does on a coat hanger. Don’t like the Space Invader nonsense on the ‘keeper’s kit, mind.

Good to see HBA getting a squad number, even if he is off soon.

Awful design and colouring, don’t think the kit will be that popular with fans; in my opinion it doesn’t even have a professional look about it. Worst for a long while.
