Newcastle United have just announced their new squad numbers for the upcoming 2014/2015 season, and as expected Siem de Jong gets the number 10 shirt previously worn by Hatem Ben Arfa.
Siem de Jong – put number 10 on that shirt
Hatem Ben Arfa gets number 26 and is likely to leave the club this summer.
Midfielder Remy Cabella will wear number 20, and striker Emmanuel Riviere has a 9 in his number – number 29.
New boy Jack Colback gets number 14, Daryl Janmaat gets 22, Ayoze Perez gets a prime number – 17 – and loan signing Facundo Ferreyra gets 15.
And it’s good to see Ryan Taylor get the number 4 shirt, and we look forward to seeing Ryan back and fully fit again after his terrible double ACL injury – and Ryan will start full training next month.
Here is the full squad list:

Here’s a question…
George Best’s training habits (although in a different era) were worse than Ben Arfa by quite a stretch. Would Pardull have left him to rot in the reserves as well?
Yes prob would have m8,jst look at his track record.

Comment #163From the looks of it both Cabella and Riviere needs to be treated to a real English Sunday Roast…probably 7 days a week 😀
…skinny Frenchmen – just make sure the coach won’t fine them!!!

Comment #166Beatroll’s Dream Team Tip No. 1…
Erik Lamela.
A new coach (Argentinian one) will see Lamela find his feet in his 2nd PL season. The tactics used by Pochettino will bring out the best in Lamela and at £8 million for a midfielded goal scorer (who will be played as a forward) you can’t go wrong.

By all accounts, Ballotelli is a really nice guy off the pitch, he gets on with all his managers. Its just he is a nutter on the pitch! Cant see him coming, but i would be willing to bet he would get on better with pardew than hba does!

Comment #175Balotelli won’t come here i’m afraid.
He’s definitely a champions league type of player.
I like him though, he’s an absolute roar.

Comment #177We’d certainly not be high on Mario’s list of clubs to move to…but if Milan are showing him the door, perhaps there’s a tiny chance he could be persuaded; put a clause in that he can move on for X amount if we dont get a european spot next season! The man loves attention, 50k+ cheering him on every week, who wouldnt want to play infront of that!!
