Alan Pardew After The Game – We Dominated – Video

8:10 am, Sunday, August 24th, 2014 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 15 Comments

Here is Alan Pardew after the game yesterday – a game that the manager thought we should have won after the three or four good chances that we missed.

    Slow down Ed….

If I was a Villa fan I would be worried. We did dominate. I don’t think they had a single shot on target. At times it looked as if we were the home side and Villa the away side.

I agree with Pardew that it will probably take quite a few games (10 ?) before the team start to play at its best.

Collectively, some of the players, at times, don’t know instinctively where their own players are.

Individually, some of the players are finding it tough to adapt to the pace and power of the Premiership.

Top quality defender but once again shola might have been prolific if he had played in the Scottish league so a fair judgement cant be given to van dijk imo… But would love anyone who puts saylor further away from the pitch. And for loan signings, hernandez would be a dream

I have a great feeling about siem, reminds me of the cabaye factor. I remember the games without him we were lost! The moment he came back we actually look like a good team. Siem is no playmaking midfielder but we are always asking for pardew to push cabaye up the field so maybe siem will be just that?

hahahahaha dont make me laugh even more
we struggled to break their back 4
    dominated what ?
20% more of the ball possession ?
really ? with 4 shots on target ?
we were clueless going forward and it was a boring match
    End of the story . . . .

Some of the fans on here yesterday are unf*@*ing believable!! They’re not fans, more like putulant little children spitting their dummies out, calling every player worse than s*”@ and have probably never been to St James park.

That game was for the taking but wasn’t to be.

Riviere worked his ass off but had no support due to a 20 yard gap between him and the midfield.

Janmaat had a great game, better than Debuchy’s start at Arsenal, do miss Debuchy though.

Colback played great again, if Tiote goes he’s been replaced in my eyes.

Cabella is feeling the heat of the press and the high expectation from the manager and fans but I’m sure he’ll turn good.

I don’t rate Williamson but was solid apart from his 2 mistakes.

Goofy was below par, my favourite player last season, all the rest were 5’s and 6’s.

Pardew has too stop being a pig headed arrogant twat and realise his tactics died in the 80’s and try and bring in modern ones. He is showing he’s clueless with an attacking minded side, making the whole team defend as soon as the other team time come forward. Make the ball do the work rather than have our attackers run the full length of the pitch, just knackering the players. I’d be happy with any other manager right now, but think our squad is definitely good enough under the right manager/tactics.

Are people seriously asking about substitutions? A basic rule of the game?

Once you’ve been subbed off you cannot come back on.

If you’ve been subbed on you can still be subbed off like parsnip did with ayoze.

That to me just typifies how shite his substitutions are, surely goofy or cabella should of come off as they were having no impact whatsoever towards the end not the guy who’d been on the field for 10 fcuking minutes and looked lively. Moron.

hope that poor Warnock spit out true verb:..
and hope the new lad is one of welbeck, wickham,
    van dijk, Richards,lacazatte,Grenier, or Coates..

personally would like us to have brought vlaar and benteke back from villa and then we’d be very strong

Besides the fact that Everton has thrown away all their leads so far, their play has been outstanding! And the worst part is lads, i feel we have a stronger squad! The difference a manager can make is amazing!

Lyon have a crutial game in thursday so you can forget about Grenier and Lacazette.

Meanwhile… Dear BBC, after any pardew’s interview please DO NOT put a sign “get inspired”… it’s ridiculous.

If it’s true, I think the tenth signing will be

Van dijk or coates ( loan)
    Or
    Wickham or welbeck.

I think all four improve on what we have. Welbeck isn’t a Remy but playing week in week out he’d do well.

I’m surprised we haven’t been in for Gouweleeuw, composed centre back who can cover at right back, prob 5 or 6 mill to get him.

Also Seydou Doumbia, think he’s retired from international football too.

    My take on yesterday:

    Krul – Nothing to do.

Janmaat – Good in defence and very good in attack.

Williamson – Solid again. He will be missed. The second yellow was harsh as he stood his ground and never touched their player who charged into him.

    Colo – Totally untroubled.

Dummett – Mixed bag. Good in parts, bad in others.

Anita – Works very hard and is not afraid to get stuck in, despite his small size, but doesn’t appear to have that killer pass which Cabaye had.

Colback – Again very impressive. Calm and composed. Will not be surprised if in the next England squad.

Cabella – Finding it tough to adapt to the physical side of the Premiership but tries his hardest.

Sissoko – I was impressed. Others weren’t. He has the ability to ride tackles and challengers and storm forward which no other player can do / does.

Gouffran – Works hard. Will get his share of the goals.

Riviere – Like Cabella finding it difficult to adapt to the demands of the Premiership. It’s made worse for him as there is no other players close enough to help him.

    Subs

    STaylor – Did his job.

De Jong – Looks a quality player and for the short time on the field he did a great defensive header and a powerful shot that was our best attempt and their best save. Once fully match fit will shine.

Perez – I like this lad. He looks like he could be a natural goal scorer. For someone so young who hasn’t played at the highest level he is adapting to the Premiership very quickly. He could be the best money signing of the summer.

To quote Pardew “we play good football”- ARE YOU FKING KIDDING ME!!!??

1- Grow a pair and play Attacking, short passing football

2- Make up with HBA and re introduce him to the squad slowly

3- Forget about Willo being a threat on goal in all our setplays, he has yet to score for us in God knows how many appearances!!

4- Dump Dummett and replace the negative lad with a more threatening and better all round player in Haidara!

5- Stop playing Riviere alone up top as he is not a lone striker and has never played that role!!

6- Make Gouffy go forward and not encourage him to be so defensive minded you tool!! The poor lad is overworked every game and is becoming the new Gutierrez.
